CHAPTER TEASER_05.1: new world (doctors POV)

Rohde's island.

time: 5:57 AM.

weather conditions: cloudy.

visibility and location: the desert; 4km from the outskirts of lungmen, 17 km.

4 days after the rescue mission.

It's been 4 days since the rescue mission that happened in the hospital, and here I am thinking about the scene that is replaying in my head while I am laying in bed, we just rescued Aden who was almost shot and killed by the hands of the reunion group just after they blew a hole in the roof.

And according to the reports that amiya gave me, the information says that Aden has a shunt in his right neck, and hearing that has me thinking that he is fragile and can risk getting hurt if the shunt is damaged.

getting out of bed, I turned on my PRTS which is short for (primitive Rohdesisland terminal service) and began to keep my windows open like what kal'tsit said so I can maintain a source of fresh air, and also spend some time on deck si that I can maintain healthy levels of Vitamin D.

but still, I don't know why it said that I was sleeping for 9 hours by repeating the number 9 17 times, it could be a glitch or bug.

But anyway it did say that my presence is urgently needed at the operations command room, so off to the location I go, just as I was going to the door I turned to my gear and started suiting up so that way I am ready and prepared for what I was in for as I went, and yes I am going to talk to Aden about his shunt.

the operations command room, 6 am.

'Ah, doctor! good morning.' both amiya and Aden said as I entered the room, oh shit I almost forgot, ok so when I gave Aden a tour of the building he said that I should drink plenty of water in order to keep my fluids up and stay hydrated since I have been getting some fresh air when I was in my room.

'So you made it, Dr.' Dobermann responded as she had just finished talking to both amiya and Aden who now has a new dressing on his neck that covers the shunt, and after I started noticing the new dressing that Aden had, I looked at Dobermann and nodded to the response that she had made as amiya was next to speak up.

'Doctor, are you feeling better now? You looked like you were still in pain and couldn't move around well yesterday.' she asked as I responded with a yes to let her know that I was doing okay and had made a complete recovery, and in return, I told both her and Aden how they were feeling as I walked over to the 3 of them.

'We are perfectly fine,' amiya said as aden finished with the words 'and full of energy today!' signifying that they are both fine and happy to see me up and awake, 'i see, hey Aden how is the shunt after the rescue mission', I asked as he smiled.

'it's healing well, I see you noticed the new dressing that amiya and Dobermann had put on me.' he asked as I nodded and began to head pat him which caused him to smile from the pats I was giving him.

'and after all, we still have other missions to take care of... So the sooner we can start preparing, the better. Doctor, you should get used to having to shift gears quickly here.' she said as Aden nodded at her.

'Doctor,' Dobermann responded as she looked at me, 'Even though we sustained heavy losses in chernobog, we gained a lot of information about the reunion group and, more importantly, got you out alive.' she said as she began to continue.

'Based on the negotiations we had yesterday, the closest mobile city to us, lungmen, has offered us a cooperation pact and agreed to exchange information with us.' Dobermann explained as she continued with her explanation, 'We have some evidence that reunion might be targeting lungmen next.' she added.

'We'll have to wait for kal'tsit's permission first before we can get the rest of the information. She's still stationed within lungmen.' Dobermann explained as she looked at me while amiya was next to talk.

'Lungmen has granted us permission to temporary camp near the city, they've also agreed to compensate a portion of our losses and expenditures during the operation.' she explained, 'In exchanges, Rohdes island is expected to help defend the city's outskirts.' she added.
