Chapter Two: Is This How A Father Is Like?

One day Sonae and some other maids were dressing me up for something. I still haven't seen my father all this time, but maybe today I will. I was dressed in a black and dark blue dress. It had white sparkles, making it look like the night sky. I had a cute headband with a bow to go with it. I felt like a noblewoman wearing this dress. The maids started taking me to a room. I looked around the halls and it was the most beautiful place I have ever seen. They finally took me to an office. There I saw him, my father. It looked different from when I last saw him. He had white hair that went to his shoulders, the ends were like a water blue color. He had navy blue eyes and tan skin. He was the most beautiful man I had ever seen. Even with the cold and stern expression on his face, he was gorgeous. He wore a white button-up and a navy blue and black aristocrat l vest with black pants that pulled the outfit together and made him look like a noble. The maids walked over to where he sat and he looked at them coldly. They gave me to him and he carried me in his arms. "You may leave now," he curtly said. All the servants in the room left and Sonae waved bye to me with a smile. "No! Don't leave me here Soane!" I thought to myself as I reached out to her but she left. After everyone left were sat there in silence, he looked at me like he was waiting for something. "Child, why aren't you crying?" He asked in the silence. "What did he just say? Is he expecting me to respond or something? Well, I can't because I'M A BABY you crazy guy!" I thought to myself as I just looked at him with an annoyed expression. We stared at each other for a moment before he suddenly got up. I wasn't uncomfortable like before because he was holding me better. "What's with this guy?" I thought to myself, "Did he learn how to hold a baby while we didn't see each other?" As I thought to myself he started walking around with me with a proud expression. It was like he was showing off that he didn't make me cry! All the servants were silent and started except for a few that I saw with him earlier in his office. They didn't seem as scared of him as the other servants. They tell him things like "Good job my lord!" or "You have improved greatly my lord!" After he walked around the whole house which was surprisingly giant almost as big as a castle he just took me to his room. He laid me on the bed and just looked at me expecting me to sleep. "What the hell is with this guy?!" I thought to myself as we stared at each other. "Why isn't she sleeping I thought walking around with her would make her sleepy... Maybe I did it wrong? Impossible, that nanny said babies fall asleep sometimes while you walk around with them... I need more lessons with her." He talked to himself while staring at me. "Is he talking to himself right now? Is this weird guy really my dad?" I thought to myself before I huffed. Suddenly, he picked me up again and I looked at him with an annoyed expression. He started to examine me like I was an outer-worldly creature. I was starting to get fed up with this guy he was even holding me by my collar while examining me. I started to kick and hit him to make him put me down. I continued but he didn't budge! After a few minutes, my small body was starting to get tired and my hands and feet were starting to her. I slowly fell asleep and while I was he cradled me and rocked me gently. I finally fell asleep and fell into a long, deep, comfortable sleep. When I woke up I was in my room again in my pajamas. I looked around confused about how I got here and saw Soane. I made some noise letting her know I was awake and she came over and took care of me. After that day my father would interact with me weekly which was kind of annoying we would go with the same routine of staring at each other in silence. him showing off a new thing he learned on how to take care of me, and then me fighting him until I slept. This was exhausting but somehow I was starting to like him... even less. How can a man be so handsome yet so utterly annoying and needy that it ruins his looks? Is this how normal fathers are? This continued for weeks until I just refused to comply with anything that had to do with him. A few days of this I think he got fed up with it too. He picked me up while I was in my crib and looked at me with an annoyed expression. "Latifa! Stop being so difficult or no more milk!" he said to me sternly and shocked everyone in the room including me. Soane, who was in the room at the time, "My lord you can't do that she is still a baby and can't live without it." She said this in a calm tone like what he said wasn't crazy to say to a child my age! "What? Well, what can I do?!" He asked this with a glare on his face. They started talking with each other like no one was in the room and he didn't even realize he was still holding me. With a loud cry, I got their attention, hopefully, he would put me down. But instead, Soane started instructing him how to calm me down and he did as she said carefully while still talking with each other about my behavior! I was still crying and because I was still a baby I went to sleep. After I woke up I gave up on trying to annoy him so much that he would leave me alone. This is frustrating, is this what a father is like?
