Consoling The Young Widow

People dressed in dark colored clothes like navy blue, brown and black were coming in the Yu mansion, there were mostly women who were friends of Huiyin mother, some people were coming in, while some where going out.

Inside the house, MeiYin and the rest of her family were seating at the living room.

Huiyin the bereaved lady that people had come to see was seating with MeiYin and Jian Yu on a soft sofa.

She had her head lowered, and fixed her gaze on the floor. She wouldn't look at the beady, and evil looking faces of her mother's friends. She knew that her mom will tell her friends about her husband death, and they will be waiting patiently for her, till she returns from America before they will come to offer their condolences. There were still a lot of cards that people had sent her, and she hasn't bothered to read them yet.

An elderly woman seating among the crowd, cleared her throat and began to speak.

"Huiyin, I am sorry about your husband death, please accept my condolence" She began. "As you can see, you are just twenty three years old, and you have lost two husbands with three years, that's indeed very pathetic. I'm sorry once again dear" The woman spoke, "Please you shouldn't cry that much, otherwise your health will deteriorate, and you know what it means" She added.

"Yes, thank you" Huiyin responded.

"But how did this happen, how can that handsome young guy die all of a sudden just like the first one?" Another woman asked.

"He had a ghastly motor accident" Another woman from the back seat answered.

"Oh goodness! this is pathetic! Huiyin had became a widow since she was nineteen, and now that she is twenty three years old she is a widow again, her two husbands are dead" The woman spoke in sympathy, while the rest broke into tears.

"Our poor daughter, don't worry you will find a good man that will be with you forever" Another woman spoke, she went to were Huiyin was seating and patted her on the head.

More and more cars where parked outside, guests and sympathizers were walking in the house to solace the young widow, while everyone went in, A young lady of about eighteen years old was leaning on the pillar of the gazebo lazily. She wore a pair of white trouser and a bright pink top, she hung a white little jim bag over her right shoulder, and on her feet were beautiful shiny pink heeled shoes, her hair was let loose, and her face and lip were shining due to too much makeup.

The girl looked stranded and confused as she had been looking at her phone for a whole time.

'This must be the house right? the mansion of the Yu family' She thought and took another look at the tall building.

Feng Mian was sure that this was her friend's house, it's been years she came to this place, ever since Huiyin left for America, she had longed forgotten about her.

She sighed and decided to go inside, it must be the house.

She climbed the long stairs and went in, she followed the people that were in her front and she and arrived at the well finished living room, where every body were seating with grief.

She could see Huiyin seating with her sister at the other part of the room, the girl was still dressed in dark colored clothes, but it had been months since her husband death.

"Feng mian!" She heard a familiar voice called.

"Huiyin!"

Huiyin stood up from her seat, as tears fell from her eyes. "It is you!" She said unbelievably. "I can't believe this"

The two friends ran to each other and embraced themselves, while the other people sat and watched them like they had never seen such a thing before.

"I am so sorry about Jun Feng death" Feng Mian cried, "I was thinking of coming to america, I didn't know you were back" She added.

Huiyin nodded, and went to seat in her place with her.

Feng Mian greeted Huiyin mother, and every other elders that were seating there with them.

Old Elder Yu began to speak first.

He was Huiyin grandfather and he had also came to sympathize with his young granddaughter for this huge loss.

"My dear Huiyin" He cleared his throat and began. "Every one here has come to console you, as you can see, we learnt about your mental health and illness, so the best thing to do was to return to china, since staying at America will do you know good" The old man paused then continued. "You are way too young to be going through all of this, but you have to remain strong and start afresh. You shouldn't let the death of your husband stop you from been successful" He spoke wisely.

People knew that Huiyin would never refuse the old man words.

"Thank you grandfather, and I thank everyone as well. The death of my husband remains like a fresh wound in my heart, so how could I forget about him grandfather? You lost grandmother some years back and till now you haven't forgotten about her either, so how can I forget about Jun Feng?" She had began to cry, while Feng Mian and MeiYin were trying their best to stop her from crying.

"Oh no my dear, I am not saying that you should forget about your husband, but you are way too young to remain unmarried, come to think if it, as a grandfather I will only want the best for you." Old elder Yu spoke.

Huiyin looked up at him.

"Alright grandfather, I understand you" She managed to speak.

"Good" Sir Yu turned to look at the people and also thank them for coming.

"Today, you have shown me great respect by coming to sympathize with us. I am hereby thankful to everyone, death shall not snatch away any of your family members" He prayed.

While the rest people bowed their head as a respect to the old man.

"Thank you sir we_"

"Huiyin!" MeiYin shouted interrupting the man that was speaking.

Everyone turned to look at them.

"Get up."

"What happened?" Grandfather Yu asked

"I don't know grandfather, she won't open her eyes" MeiYin had began to cry.

Every body stood up.

While MeiYin husband took the telephone to call the doctor.

Everyone wondered why she would suddenly fall, she spoke some minutes ago right?
