Logan stepped forward and informed Jay, "I went to talk to her after you left and she doesn't even remember asking Nova to help tutor someone. She also doesn't remember talking to Nova at all today."

"Calli and I tried to follow her scent, but it disappeared just outside the window of the math class. I would bet they used magic to hide her scent," Matt inputted.

Sophia frowned before she said, "It's weird cause the only scent on that note was her blood, there was nothing else on it."

With each word the others reported to him caused Jay's stomach to twist itself into knots, "So we have no leads." He had meant it as a question but ended up coming out more as a statement instead.
