Nova felt like she was under a weighted blanket as she returned to consciousness. Something was wrong, but her brain seemed to be too heavy to figure it out. She didn't feel like she was drowning, just like she was stuck with something keeping her from waking up. Nova remembered going to Mrs. White's class to help tutor some kid, but she couldn't seem to remember what happened after she entered.
Something felt important about what happened there, it may explain why she couldn't really feel her arms. So, she fought to remember but only got a piercing pain in her head in return. A shiver ran down Nova's spine as her brain finally started connecting with her body. It still felt heavy, but she now could feel the cold that seemed to seep into her bones from the hard floor below her.
