Alone

Katy wasn't allowed to stay in the cement cell the alpha kept Nova for too long. Just long enough to give her basic food and water and she wasn't allowed to leave the lantern. The empty darkness surrounded her, inside and out. Nova did her best to hum Disney songs and even managed to work out a bit to try to stay warm.

The light from Katy's lantern was enough to show Nova her barren cell with only a hole for a toilet in the corner. There was no blanket, no kind of warmth not even from the food. The alpha, whose name turned out to be Drake, hadn't visited her again but his words kept repeating in her mind, whispering to her through the silence. For reasons Nova couldn't really figure out, Drake wanted her and her blood ran colder than her cell at the thought of what he meant by that.
