An Otherworldly Experience

Rimuru entered the room in a semi-rush, his clothes slightly dishevelled as Shion came in after him, her under clothes poking out from under her shirt and shorts. I ignored this currently as my entire vision was consumed by the sight of the two enemies we had at this moment allying and killing Milim. Yuuki tried to slay me but at that same moment a figure looking similar to myself moved forwards, her form rippling in sheer energy as the very reality around the vision swirled. Then, as If i was disallowed to watch further my vision was shunted back to reality.

"Silviana!? What happened?" Rimuru was looking at me in worry as Yuna stepped out from the Kitchen, her presence being hidden from me after I said goodbye to the others. Shuna looked concerned, her face showing a rather angered and serious expression whilst Milim merely gazed at me and reached out her hand to hold mine. The hand became skeletal whilst she extended it but I still took it, my mind understanding that it was actually her hand and not the skeletal remains of her.

"I, have an issue... I need to fix it. Give me some time..." Stepping away from them all I vanished, deciding to go meditate on my issue. It had only been a single day since the change to my very being and thus I needed to sense my current state.

...

The mood after Silviana left was utterly strange, Yuna showing a rather concerned but sisterly look on her face as Rimuru looked perplexed. Both Milim and Shuna were looking at one another in slight worry, Shuna thinking about how their life had just been drama, fighting, politics and the stray romantic evening. Today was supposed to be a nice day but it had now turned into a depressing remnant of a happy party.

"Can someone tell me what the hell is going on?" Rimuru's tone was frustrated as he was close to finishing with Shion and had run out thinking there was some enemies or something.

"Silviana had been experimenting this morning when you came into our training space... The result was powerful and gave her an immense power but it seems that there were some rather bad consequences." Rimuru looked at Shuna, still wanting an explanation.

"And...?"

"Well, Rimuru-sama, she can see into the future, or possible futures." He and Shion looked baffled at Shuna's words as they were considering how that was an issue, Yuna also listening on in from the sidelines. Milim sighed before Shuna could step in and began speaking, her tone and voice a lot less playful or joyful, this being the first time she had shown this side of herself to the rest in the room.

"Honey is now seeing the dead forms of everyone she sees. Every handshake, every blink of her eyes, she sees you all as bones and slop. The food she ate, from what I could see from tonight, was also giving her images of how the creature died but also how it will turn up after eating it." Rimuru became instantly empathetic as Shion looked like she had eaten raw eggs, her entire face scrunching in disgust at the idea of seeing that all of the time.

"Why didn't she share this with us!?" Yuna was mildly pissed as she also looked up the stairs, her usual playful mood ruined by the news she had just received. Milim shook her head and looked at Yuna like she was being inconsiderate.

"You only met her recently... Secondly, Rimuru is too kind and would fuss over her too much. From what I could understand, she knows she was the one to cause the issue and thus she should be the one to fix it. I support her in this, me and Shuna will look after her." Shuna nodded at Milim's words and took a defensive posture towards the other people in the room, especially Yuna who looked quite annoyed by Milim's words.

"Not all things have to be handled independently! Let us help!" Rimuru was now the one yelling out as Shion nodded behind him, her mood utterly helpless and sad. From just looking at her one could conclude that she, deep down within the recesses of her heart, cared for the co-ruler of the nation as a friend.

"Exactly! We have to help her, Rimuru-sama in correct!" Milim cracked her neck and flared her aura, squashing any resistance as the mere contact with her aura sparked every survival instinct in the three of them. Shuna was also exposing her aura although it was easily overshadowed by the similarly pink-haired Milim.

"No one interrupts her. We must trust in her judgement, okay?" She rescinded her aura and attempted to calm the situation as Shuna followed in her footsteps, her body language screaming that she didn't want a fight or even a confrontation...

"Milim..."

...

Sitting on the bed I felt deep within my body, trying to grasp at the cultivation I had begun a week or so ago. The sensations were weird as it felt like I could feel several of them. Much like trying to control the flow of a bubbling rapids my Qi and Magicules slipped between my metaphysical hands, my very essence failing to warp and bend the flows to my command. At this moment it was much clearer to see why it was that my vision was going crazy.

The very connection between my eyes and my brain was overflowing and bursting with magicules and Qi the very pathways designed to carry the power inundated by the quantity and quality of said energies. Sadly for me however, there was no quick way to repair the pathways, or mend them in a rapid manner that may allow me to cease these inconsistent and disturbing visions. Another stray vision landed in my mind as I saw the world alight with war, an entire world with its oceans boiling under the stress of Ainz and Yuuki fighting one another for dominance. My consciousness cleared in moments as the visions were vivid in my mind, documented for me to access for the rest of my life.

'Stop... It!' I tried to force my will on the discordant powers in my ocular sockets. The attempt failed massively as another vision spirt into my mind once again. Rimuru becoming a True Demon Lord, burning and killing innocents in his venture to impregnate Shizu... The impotence of becoming a True Demon Lord driving him to outrageous acts of violence. Once again I was back into my current reality, my eyes tearing slightly from bearing witness to that latest one.

"I can't allow that future... None of them...!" I heard a distant echo of a voice, a bare remnant from a time not long ago, the memory, even for me, vague.

"...Again..." It came out as a whisper as my powers flared worse. My entire existence began to feel extremely cold, as if my soul was dipped into the depths of space. Senses within my body flared and transported my mind to another space, as if I had eaten shrooms and tripped balls. As i emerged into the space I looked around, the pale lucid space before me filling my entire mind with a slight sense of dread. Stuck in this state for quite a bit of time my 'eyes' finally managed to grasp the slight movement of a form in the mists before me.

I attempted to move and peer closer with my magic or senses but they reacted as if they did not exist, the very space seemingly nullifying my own control of my powers. The figure seemed to be walking towards me, the form haggard and rather beat down as golden coloured skin shined out from beneath travel worn cloak and robes. The mist covered the figure's face but could not hide the feeling that I had emerge in the pit of my stomach and the distinctive hourglass eyes that seemed to beget my own.

"Who are you?" My voice slipped out into the space until it was but a muffled echo of distantly sourced noise, the man's head somewhat twitching as his movement was stopped. Another figure entered into the surroundings of the man but quickly faded as the man before me narrowed his eyes, the mist around hid eyes becoming much like the space around myself.

"I do not know what being or entity you are. All i need know is that you are one who is similar to me and has suffered this curse. Know that you are not alone and that the key to controlling this power does not come from presiding over one's magics or temperance... Let it flow like the river it was meant to be and watch it become a tapestry of brilliance before your eyes." His words faded as I widened my eyes, I had done it wrong... The method to stabilising myself was not to control my magicules or Qi, but to embrace the flow and expand it. As the understanding came to me my vision picked up another figure, one dressed in regal red clothing, dragons embroidered up and down his jacket's arms. Golden they were and so refined that one would think the man a dragon himself. Turning towards me his eyes immediately pinged my existence, his different to my own but swirling with an Ouroboros, or perhaps a snake eating its own tail. Dragons swirled around his eyes in the mist as his red hair flopped in sweaty activity, marks covering his arms.

A faint call from behind him ushered out, my heart beating out of my chest.

"Asha'man, Kill!" In seconds the figure was erased from the mist as the space returned to normal, hundreds of different movements in the fog drawing my eye but showing no details. Then, with a violent sucking noise my mind warped back to my body and I felt another vision slipping into my mind, attempting to draw me back to that luminal space.

Entering my mental image of my body and taking the reigns of the control I had over it, I instantly erased all of the control I had fostered over my powers. I was frightened to find out the consequences of such an action but it was too late to regret what I had done. Information was in short supply with this and the character from before may have been malicious or empathetic, I did not know.

Turmoil began within, as without I started to shake violently and I shivered with ever growing intensity. The foreboding ache in my mind causing my muscles to seize and cramp as within seconds all of my magicules and Qi freely seeped into my body without any direction. Knives slicing skin, that is what it felt like, the miniscule details of my flesh being separated layer by layer with a sharp blade transmitting to the very core of my being despite the lack of such a physical act being done to me. Blood collected in my mouth as my teeth began to bleed without any reason, some starting to seep out of my nose and eyes as the Hourglasses spun rigorously within my sclera.

"U-ugh...ughhhhhh..." Screaming wasn't even an option as in small whispers came my torturous pain. My organs felt tossed, every fibre of my skin, internals and soul telling me that this was wrong and that soon I'd die if I did nothing. Urges to survive flooded my mind and being but all I could hear, despite these fluctuating emotions and bestial instincts, was that singular man repeating the method to free myself from the malady i had found myself suffering from.

'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA-'

My mind screamed in sundering suffering as needles seemingly poked at every part of my brain simultaneously. Eyes burning in radiant fire, skin cut like an animal on a cutting block, organs mulched like compost, blood as dry and voltaic as lava itself, my very soul was now getting hurt. This pain, this, was horrifying, worse... It was suicidally horrible. I couldn't even formulate a thought to scream, my physical form had long since crumpled and lay as a bloody mess amongst the now blood strewn sheets.

Then, his voice came again... ' " watch it become a tapestry of brilliance before your eyes" '

A golden light poured out from the depths of my tattoos, the very essence of time flowing into my very soul and amalgamating with the entirety of it. Space became my very blood, Gravity my organs and bones, my very breath the elements of nature as my eyes opened on my physical form.

Blood, skin, bones, organs, cells, molecules, synapses, bio-electric energy and neurons all regenerated. The blood spilt on the bed slithered into my body once again as time reversed or readjusted. Broken bones mended until they were new once more and at the end I was whole once more. Opening my eyes in what seemed to be a millennia but also five seconds, golden-white light spilt out, my physique fully unlocked and the chaotic everchanging mess of time revealed before me. But, most importantly, I had returned to my normal perspective, all visions ceasing before the new found stability of my connection to time.

"...Good..."
