12 Chapter 12: The First Contact

Rudeus introduced himself to the X-men hoping to build a good relationship in advance so that he can use them in the future. They will play an important part to his plans later.

"Who the hell are you? Do we look like we have enough time for gossiping with strangers?" Scott remarked offhandedly.

'Wow, he is an asshole to me despite my golden rule perk. Does he contain some secret second mutation that enables him to be a giant asshole or something' Rudeus wondered to himself.

"Scott, please keep quiet. We should never disrespect strangers. You were taught better than that." the white haired woman who should be Ororo rebuked him.

Then she turned to Rudeus & politely began "Sorry for that. I am Ororo by the way, Ororo Munroe. These are Scott Summers, Robert Drake also known as Bobby, Kurt Wagner, Pietro Maximoff, Logan & that is Jean Grey." She introduced after pointing to each one of them.

"You said that you could help us so do you know what we are searching for?" Ororo asked me hopefully.

"Yes, I do. I am actually from an organization that focuses on helping mutants & making their lives easier in the long term. On the surface the organization is called Meta. And yes I know you guys are mutants before you all ask. Our organization is all over the world right now & we are trying to search for people, likeminded individuals like ourselves who can help us in achieving our goals faster." I start my sales speech.

'Maybe I should become a salesman instead of being a mutant messiah god.'

"We have been contemplating about partnering with the Xavier's school for the gifted, for some time. That is why I approached all of you. I think with all your talents and our resources we can truly change the world for mutants like us." Rudeus continued to sprout his b.s while making them relate with him being a mutant as well.

Most of them looked quite interested in that pitch. Rudeus was confident that his golden perk would not let him down at all. Even if they did not join now which was the most probable outcome, they would still be more favourable to his organization & it would be much easier to manipulate & recruit them later.

"We don't need charity buddy, go & flaunt your handsome face somewhere else" a very annoying voice suddenly came from Scott.

"Scott, if you say anything rude again, I'll triple our hand to hand training time" Logan warned Scott.

"Man, you should really shut up for a second. Let the extremely handsome gentleman talk. His voice is much more pleasing to hear than yours... not that I am pleasing myself with his voice or anything" Bobby defended me.

'Well I like him, but I should probably make it clear to him later that I don't bend that way. I am not that type of a god after all.' Rudeus thought.

"I am really sorry for Scott's attitude, he is normally not like that. But you'll have to talk with the professor for partnerships like these. I am afraid I don't have the authority to decide stuff like that on my own." Storm told me with a tinge of sadness.

"Its okay Ororo or should I say, Storm. I do not need an answer right now. Instead I am here to help your team & show my & this partnership's value to you all for now." I lie with a straight face.

"So you can help us find the professor & my fath... uhm Magneto? The professor was kidnapped by a really mean looking strong immortal mutant called Apocalypse. Magneto was with him as well." Pietro asked in a voice so fast, it looked like he was high on sugar rush.

"Yes, we traced the professor's psychic signature with Jean's help but could not pinpoint his exact location. It would be a great help if you can help us find the professor before something happens to him.

"Well I can. As we are speaking, my men are searching the entire city as well as the nearby deserts to find any trace of Apocalypse, Magneto or your professor. We will find them real soon. The question is do you want to team up if we find them. That way if Apocalypse is a threat we will be able to defeat him much easier together." I coaxed them.

Ororo looked to be contemplating something. He looked towards Logan who nodded.

"Fine. I just hope you don't betray us" Ororo said after some time.

"Don't worry, I won't. I don't do stupid stuff like that. After all I want our cooperation to last a very long time." Rudeus said the last line while looking at Jean.

He wanted to see her reaction to his advances & if she was feeling the same as him right now.

He had a hunch that the cause of this attraction was a very fiery bird who was supposed to be his mother.

Jean blushed a little after noticing his gaze at which Scott looked like he had eaten something very bitter.

At that moment Rudeus felt a gentle knock on his mental walls. He recognized the knock. He had felt it numerous time during his training with Selene & Vanessa.

He let her inside his mind.

'We found them master. Vanessa heard some men talking about a metal city being created in the desert out of nowhere. Also there were sightings of a flying spaceship near that area as well. We even got the location after she asked them 'politely'. Its a couple of kilometers away from here.' Selene informed him.

'Good job Selene. You & Vanessa go ahead to the location but do not approach the enemies. Bring only a few of our mutants capable enough to fight. I'll bring the main 'attack force' with me. No need to waste our men's lives when we will have free muscle.'' I instructed her.

'As you order, master' Selene said & sent him the location mentally before cutting the mental call.

Rudeus was happy that everything was going according to the plan. This psychic bond they had been training together was quite good for situations like these. It was a pity that the coverage limit could only be a city due to Selene's limited psychic strength.

'Seems I need a a strong psychic in my team sooner or later. Maybe even multiple psychics as well.' he thought to himself as he eyed Jean & thought about another certain blonde bombshell psychic.

But outwardly he maintained a straight face and turned to Ororo while saying "Congratulations, it seems my men finally found the location of your professor. We should hurry there before Apocalypse decides that he doesn't need him any more & ends him."

The team looked at each other as they thought this was really quick & agreed with him.

It was decided that they would pick up Hank from the hotel & go to the location Rudeus gave him through the X-jet. It would be the quickest way for them.

'Maybe we can trust them,I mean this guy looks really ho... trustable, yeah he looks like we can really trust him' thought Ororo in her mind.

Jean on the other hand looked like she was way more interested in Rudeus than saving the professor. Although she mostly remained quiet all the way, she still regularly stole glances at his heavenly face & his fit body until they reached the jet.

'Should I ask him about the feeling...' thought Jean while entering the jet.

After all this was the first time a teenager like her was feeling such intense emotions. She liked this feeling, this intense attraction that she had to him but she still hated the longing part of it at the same time.

'This is going to be one exciting plane ride' thought Rudeus sagely to himself.
