Not as their mother and daughter, but as the person in charge of Argus or the true culprit behind the Queen Gambit Boat?
Is this even an option?
Dinah Lance, as an agent of the Argus Association, knows how difficult it would be for her or anyone else to kill Amanda Waller. Even if she were lucky enough to succeed in killing Amanda Waller, the Argus Association would relentlessly hunt her down, along with the United States government.
On the other hand, although she didn't know who was responsible for the Queen's Gambit boat accident, and what kind of strength and power that person possessed. By killing that person, Dinah Lance could avenge her daughter without any psychological burden. Furthermore, she still had the strength to deal with the consequences.
"What if we don't choose?" Dinah Lance asked Stephen.
Stephen remained silent.
But in this case, if we don't choose, you might kill us or that person, right? Dinah Lance took a deep breath. "In that case, I choose to kill the murderer who took my daughter's life and caused the gambit accident. Tell me the identity of that person, and I will eliminate them as quickly as possible."
"Think it through, dear. Once you choose, you can't change it. Are you sure?"
"I'm sure."
"Okay then. What about you?" Stephen looked at Laurel. Though she didn't want to make the decision, she could only nod in agreement at that moment.
Stephen patted Laurel's face with satisfaction and said to Dinah Lance, "Alright, I have decided. I will leave it to her to take care of that person. You may go now."
Dinah Lance became instantly anxious. "She's just an ordinary person. If you let her do this, she will die. Instead, I will go. Tell me the identity and address of that person. Give me three days, and I promise to eliminate them within that time frame."
"I don't care if she dies when facing that person, but she must kill. And as we previously discussed, you are not qualified to negotiate with me. After all, as you said, I am a villain, right?" Stephen smiled brightly.
Villain!
Dinah Lance couldn't help but feel a strong sense of irony when she heard that word.
"Although you can observe her progress, I advise you not to provide any assistance. While I won't kill you or her, I will definitely kill Quentin Lance," Stephen said leisurely.
Dinah Lance might be willing to sacrifice her ex-husband for her daughter, but Laurel would never let anything harm her father. So even if her mother offered help, Laurel would not accept it and might even expose it out of fear of misunderstanding.
Dinah Lance and Laurel exchanged grimaces.
"Don't be disheartened. If you can't help Laurel, you can continue to trouble me. What if one day you happen to be lucky enough to kill me? Then you won't have to worry about her safety, and you won't have to feel threatened by me anymore. Who knows, you might even be able to soar high and far. Maybe I'll lose interest in you if I can't find you for a while," Stephen suggested to them seriously, seeing their gloomy expressions. "Come on, guys, cheer up. I have great optimism for you!"
"I'll contact you tomorrow." Stephen smiled at Laurel, turned, and walked away.
As his figure disappeared from the factory building, the suspended electro-optical python in the distance vanished, plunging the factory into darkness for an instant. Only the flashlight illuminated Laurel's body. The mother and daughter locked eyes, and Dinah Lance tried to support her daughter as she descended, but the steel bars didn't budge.
After much effort, Dinah Lance finally managed to help her daughter down, while Stephen had already returned to the apartment.
As he opened the door and entered, Stephen saw Felicity spring from the sofa and throw herself into his arms.
"Are you okay? I was so worried."
"I can see that, darling." Stephen patted Felicity on the back and chuckled. "Dressed like that and packing your suitcase in the middle of the night, were you planning to run away with me?"
"What? Are you really not going to run?" Felicity looked up at Stephen.
"It's not necessary for now. So take off your clothes and wait for me in the bedroom. I'll go take a shower." Stephen kissed her on the lips and headed to the bathroom to shower.
Felicity let out a long sigh of relief and returned to the bedroom.
It didn't take long for Felicity to see Stephen enter the room after his shower. She wanted to ask him what had happened. But as soon as Stephen approached her, he embraced her, and they started kissing. After a while, the sounds of creaking came from the bedroom once again. By the time she managed to ask him about the day's events, it was already the next morning.
Due to their activities the previous night, Felicity only had a few seconds to confirm with Stephen that they didn't need to run before she hurriedly went to work. She planned to ask him about the other event when she returned home.
Shortly after she left, Stephen noticed Laurel also leaving the house to go to college.
Remember the route, bring the key, and carry the bag.
Stephen also went outside.
"Stop! Don't run."
"Damn it! If you're capable, catch up and arrest me, officer."
As soon as he stepped out of the apartment, Stephen heard shouts in the distance. Following the sound, he saw a middle-aged police officer chasing an Asian man who had stolen a bag. The nearby pedestrians stepped away in fear. The Asian man taunted the police officer and proudly ran in Stephen's direction.
