Reverse Flash appeared seemingly indifferent on the surface, but tumultuous waves surged within his heart. Had he truly discovered the body of Harrison Wells? Once the body underwent examination, his true identity could not remain concealed. How did this despicable individual possess such extensive knowledge? Even if he hailed from the future like himself, he shouldn't possess such clarity! Could he be deceiving me?
With a faint smile, Reverse Flash glanced at Stephen while observing Caitlin Snow deliberately avoiding his gaze.
A decision had been made.
He couldn't delude himself; Caitlin Snow must have already inspected the body.
"Damn it!" Seated in the wheelchair, the speedster slowly removed his glasses, transforming his formerly indifferent eyes into sharp, piercing ones. Amidst the astonished gazes of everyone present, Reverse Flash stood up.
"Dr. Wells, you..." Cisco Ramon and Barry Allen stared at the standing figure of Harrison Wells, as if struck by an electric shock!
Are his legs functional? Has he been pretending all this time? Is he truly the Reverse Flash?
Reverse Flash maintained a cold expression and clapped his hands softly. "I never regret my actions, but I regret now for provoking you. I'm curious, who exactly are you?"
"Does it really matter?" Stephen asked with a grin.
"It truly doesn't matter because anyone who hinders on my plan becomes my enemy!" Reverse Flash cast a cold glance at Stephen before shifting his gaze towards the stunned Barry Allen. "I've had numerous opportunities to kill you, yet I could only save you, assist you, and make you faster. Making sure everything will proceed smoothly. I can return home and escape this timeline of the past. You can obtain what you desire. But now..."
From his pants pocket, Reverse Flash retrieved a ring and slowly slipped it onto his hand, his eyes illuminated by a crimson light appearing more menacing.
Huh!
The red lightning crackled, and a yellow suit instantaneously emerged from the ring, landing on and being donned by the Reverse Flash.
"Why? Why did you kill my mother?" Barry Allen angrily demanded as Reverse Flash donned his suit.
"I never intended to kill her; I was there to kill you," Reverse Flash shook his head.
Barry Allen stood in a daze, as if struck by a revelation.
"Our game... has begun!" Reverse Flash sneered smugly, directing his gaze towards Stephen. "I must admit, I truly don't know who you are or why you possess such super speed, but that's alright. You will assist me in returning home."
"I don't think so!" Stephen lightly smiled. "Judging by your unwavering confidence, could it be that me not showing more of the strength back then made you think I am insignificant?"
"Believe me, I've gone to great lengths to make sure I go back to mine timeline," Reverse Flash chuckled. Suddenly, a cacophonous sound of shaking filled the air, akin to a rampaging beast.
In the next moment, Stephen felt a psychic force assault him, reminiscent of a form of mind control.
"So this is the Reverse Flash's trump card? Mind control... is it Grodd?" Stephen's thoughts raced as the abilities was instantly copied after the opponent's attack launching, stacking it five times.
In an instant, Stephen found himself inside another body. How could this sensation be described? It was akin to playing a game in first person mode, with the ability to control the actions and even the words of the other person.
Reverse Flash, you are truly a remarkable individual! You even grants me the ability of Telepathy or some might say Mind Control!
Stephen concealed a secret smile while manipulating his adversary.
Boom! Boom! Boom! The sound of footsteps reverberated, causing the ground to tremble.
Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon, and Barry Allen anxiously turned their gaze towards the door. Moments later, their eyes beheld a massive figure resembling a mountain.
A gigantic orangutan stood before them.
"Caitlin, Cisco, do you remember? Grodd!" Reverse Flash declared triumphantly.
"Grodd? Is it Grodd?" Cisco Ramon asked in astonishment.
"What? Who is Grodd?" Barry Allen inquired, shocked, as he observed the colossal orangutan.
"Before the particle accelerator incident, the laboratory collaborated with Wade Eiling in an attempt to develop psychic abilities for military interrogations. Grodd was one of the experimental subjects. Later, Dr. Wells... he deemed the experiment too cruel and terminated the cooperation. Grodd vanished when the particle accelerator exploded. I never anticipated... I never expected it to grow so colossal. It must have been affected by the particle accelerator's explosion," Caitlin Snow explained in amazement.
"Given my understanding of the future, I have ample time to devise plans. I rescued Grodd and allowed him to remain in the lab, where he was influenced by the particle accelerator. He possesses the ability of Telepathy. Initially, I intended for him to control Barry and assist me in finding a way back to my own timeline. However, now... I have a better choice!" Reverse Flash approached Stephen triumphantly. "He is my prime choice!"
"Cisco, do you want to make a time machine? I have gathered the necessary materials and blueprints. Prepare them as swiftly as possible." Stephen remain motionless.
Reverse Flash to acquire a device resembling bamboo on his chest. Red light flickered, and several blue-colored glass panels materialized in his hand. This is futuristic technology containing immensely powerful energy. "Barry, place these below. I intend to restart the particle accelerator!"
"Oh, yes, there's one missing component."
"The superluminal particles researched by the Mercury Laboratory. I require your assistance in obtaining them!" Reverse Flash stated, looking at Stephen.
Stephen remained motionless.
"Grodd?" Reverse Flash was stunned and yelled at Grodd.
Grodd slowly took a few steps forward before abruptly swinging his arm at Reverse Flash.
Boom!
The burly arm propelled Reverse Flash across the room, crashing into the wall. Unexpectedly, Reverse Flash quickly regained his footing. "Grodd, what are you doing? I am your father!"
It was he who created Grodd single-handedly, and Grodd never hesitated to obey his commands. Yet now, he was attacking him?
"I expected you to be many thing but I didn't expect you to have such a taste, being a father of an ape," Grodd retorted.
Reverse Flash's own ally had struck him?
This sudden turn of events bewildered everyone, and to their even greater surprise, Stephen didn't appear to be under any form of mind control. On the contrary... it seemed as though he had control over Grodd instead?
