The Void Dragon God

Julian only watched as both devils took seat on the couch with Rias. Taking a more proper seating position himself, as it would just be weird to be seating like some kind of gangster during an event such as now.

Letting go of the flow of the conversation consciously, he threw the ball at his devil side parents as he scratched his head. "So, what now?"

Sirzechs considered the question carefully and threw a look at his wife. Upon receiving a nod, he answered. "Well, if you're willing. Why don't we start from the very beginning? You could tell us more about you, about how your life was in general. And we the same."

Such careful behavior by the two powerhouses was due to the circumstances around this situation.

Because, by all means. Orphaned or missing children meeting their parents for the first time had the right to choose how to go about their future relationships with their biological family. It would have been different if Julian had been younger, but at this point. He was already a grown man. What would come out if this meeting was totally to his mercy.

Because what was essentially happening right now.

Could be resumed by closely blood related strangers meeting each other.

No matter how much both party would have wanted otherwise.

"As it seem this will take some time. I will go inform the others that they are free for the day." Rias smiled, and procceeded to exit the room.

Julian didn't say anything as he was momentarily perturbed by Sirzechs' cautious behavior. As he himself realized what they were thinking currently.

This made him think back on his wishes again, how he had been so casual about using people to his end. For no reason at all.

He remained mainly unperturbed outwardly as he had very recently quenched his strange thirst for blood. Only tilting his head as a spark of something flashed in his gaze. "I'm not against that. I came here for answers after all. And I'm all hear about learning more about my family." He nodded.

So, all of this morning till midday was spend with both party warming up to each other. Julian telling them how his life was since he was adopted and Sirzechs and Grayfia narrating about the supernatural world and the devil society as well as themselve.

The circumstances of his birth were also 'explained' to Julian by Sirzechs. The former asking question about his heritage and his powers, mainly about how his angel side came to be.

Of course, Sirzechs had no real idea about it. Admitting that Julian was probably a miracle and one of his kind.

Julian directly asked if there was some way to become stronger faster as he was afraid for his family and his own future. Recounting his own experience with both Melissa and Raynare.

Sirzechs agreed with his fears but for another reason. As he thruthfully told Julian about the immense existencial threat he posed to every factions, especially the biblical.

An information that Julian himself was not aware of at all. As he thought he would be hunted plenty enough already simply by the fact that he was an 'abomination' that shouldn't exist.

But it seemed it was even more complicated than that as the more he listened, the more his smile lessened.

Indeed, as everybody still remember the unprecedented event of his birth seventeen years ago. An event so strong that it bled through the realm of every factions residing on earth, and even went as far as to affect the dimensional gap. If he was to ever be identified as the cause, and his relation to the biblical faction was to be known...

Then, there was one thing that was sure. It would probably be him against the world. The biblical trio probably caught in the cross-fire.

Why? Because he was a danger, he would disturb the balance. He had too much potential, and as such, should be eliminated before he could achieve it. Simple as that.

Grayfia also helped and added some context. With something that he somewhat already was aware of with why his birth caused this strong an effect.

As, since the beginning of this world. If a being was particularly talented or had potential. A certain phenomena displaying such would unravel.

She gave the exemple of Sirzechs' own birth where he flooded entirely a room with Destruction magic over 200 years ago.

And then his and every other earthly beings rebirth 50 years. An era changing event since then dubbed the advent of the Void Dragon God.

This event consisted of a mindnumbing rerwriting of the entire realm reality.

The consequences of this incredible happening were as such.

-The colossal increase of Earth and its affiliated realms' level of energies. Be it mana, natural ki, and even vitality.

-The release of certain shackles concerning magic and every entity in the world. Be it humans, devils, dragons and even gods.

-The total breaking and remaking of the world previous laws on how to become stronger.

-And finally, the unnatural and surreal massive enhancement of the future generation potential, and also of the already present one. Occuring in a rebirth process that would have destroyed the whole of earth if it was not for the timely intervention of the newly born Dragon God of Life, Gaia.

"For exemple, Sirzechs first birth only resulted in him flooding a whole room with his power. Compared to his second birth or 'rebirth', that made him fill the entire of the Underworld with destructive energy. We can really see that both era are quite literally world apart."

Grayfia smiled a little, seemingly a little proud. "My rebirth was quite the sight too, even if it was not as impressive. I still destroyed the nearby towns because of demonic powers going rampants. A scale comparable to Serafall, my rival and one of the strongest devil who took back a similar amount of towns to the ice age."

Julian's mouth twitched in amusement as he certainly didn't took the stern Grayfia Lucifuge to be one for bragging.

But he quickly focused himself on all the informations he got.

Essentially, this event: The advent of the Void Dragon God. Was the direct manifestation to one of his wish by simply asking for a sister for Ophis.

Only problem was, his wish was granted backward.

As he had wished for a stronger iteration of the world of DxD where Ophis was stronger than Great Red. And for the sake of keeping the plot like the canon, he asked for a stronger entity to exist to force Ophis outside of the dimensional gap. So, a little sister for her. Embodying the void and a sliver of existence so she could be stronger than Ophis.

The only way Julian could find for his wish to manifest in such a manner were certain key words. Them being: Little sister, stronger than Ophis, and sliver of existence.

Not only had he not specified how younger and stronger she should be. But he also dumbly underestimated how fucking OP existence was.

At least he had never been completely in the dark, as with his fourth wish. He had access to the entire story of this iteration High school DxD in his head.

He had several characters who never appeared in canon flash through his mind right now. One of them being the actual Void Dragon God who appeared only one time through the entire serie. And it was to say to Issei to take good care of Ophis as she was happier with him than her. She never appeared again after that.

She never told her own name to Issei, and even Ophis never said it despite being asked.

But at the same time, there was this particular chapter from the Infinite Dragon God POV where she thought about her sister and thus thought of her name.

'Mikan... Was it?'

Julian only realized his mistake as he suddenly found himself elsewhere. Smoothly transported from the ORC room to someplace else, from his seating position to standing up at that. No evident transition in between.

All he could see was black, darkness everywhere. But he still could see himself despite the apparent lack of any light. He could also see his reflection on the floor, as if it was a mirror... or a pool of water.

"How is it that you know of my name, while only Phiphi is supposed to know?" A joyous, curious voice inquired.

A ripple spread on the ground of this place a few meters before Julian as a young woman around his own age came out of it.

Since Kass, Julian never really had any reactions when seeing the appearance of a woman. But nevertheless, he still had to do a double take for this one.

She looked like a taller, older Ophis. Standing at around 6 feet, she was just a bit short of his own height. Unlike her big sister, she wore a simple cobalt blue and turquoise summer dress. She had the same general hairstyle as her, with long hair flowing out of her back in a somewhat messy way. Only difference was the pink ribbon put at the start of a braid on the right side of her face.

There was also her eyes, who compared to Ophis' gray. Were of an absolute black who seemed to capture any light reflecting of them. Like a blackhole would do. Or...a the void.

The detail that took most of his attention however was the small tear shape mark beneath her left eye. Shimering softly with all the colors of the rainbow.

Along with her being quite a bit taller than Ophis form, her ears were way longer. Resembling those of an elf.

As for her body, well... Julian thought that the proportion were perfect, especially for her height. He would compare her figure to a thiner version or Raynare. With less breast and waist.

Oh, and he knew she wasn't wearing any panty. He just knew it. And unlike Ophis, the being before him was female. Or at least considered itself as such.

Pondering on the question, Julian scratched his chin as he continued to look her up and down.

Crossing his arms, he answered as he smiled. "I read about it in a book."

Mikan laughed in a jovial manner as she smiled too. "You're saying the truth! I cannot see such a book anywhere in your mind yet I know that you aren't lying. So cool!" She said to nobody in particular.

Immediatly after she brought a fist to her other palm and seemed to have a realisation. "Wait a minute.... I know who you are! You're the anomaly who was borned 17 years ago. But at the same time was conceived much earlier than my own birth." She seemed like she wanted to pat herself.

Julian lifted an eyebrow. "So what of it?"

"Nothing. You're just even more of an enigma than I first thought. You're like a box with holes, locked away in an human shaped bomb wearing a mask beneath another mask. It's like a gigantic puzzle!"

Julian smile froze on his face before it slowly vanished to a degree where it was barely noticable. "What do you mean?"

Mikan put a finger to her lips as she tilted her head. "Huh? Well, I can see that you aren't even happy. So why do you bother to smile so much and keep telling yourself that you are?..."

" You act like a robot with no needs, because what's the difference between having no wants and never acting upon them?..."

" You have feelings, but half the time they are misplaced or forced and the other half you ignore them... That mind of yours is so interesting! You even have this bi-"

A low voice, full of an unholly mix of of negative emotions resounded across the space. Making the water like floor ripple all over. "Stop looking into my mind."

Mikan lost her smile for a second before it came back stronger as she pointed at him with a finger. "That's the holes I was talking about! You weren't acting right now!"

She also proceeded to meet gazes with Julian's dangerously squinted eyes. "You don't want me to peer into your mind anymore? Why? I'm not hurting you. It can even be considered as me helping you out."

Julian spat back, closing his eyes. "I never asked for your help... And in the first place, It's not your business."

Hearing no response for a while, he reopened them. Only to see that Mikan wasn't anywhere in sight.

Just as he tried to turn himself around to look where she was gone to, he felt his body freezing all over and a shudder going through his spine as a sweet voice whispered in his ear.

"Ooh~ So it's not my business, is it?..." It was still Mikan's voice, but not at the same time.

He could feel her warm breath brushing against his cold skin as she spoke.

"If I was to continue peering into your mind..."

"If I was to continue reciting out loud, every sin~gle one of the flaws of your broken psyche..."

There was a tint of amusement and ridicule to her voice.

"Tell me, young Nephilim... What could you possibly do...

"To stop me from making it my business?~"

The person he was talking to right now. It wasn't Mikan, the innocent and cheerful looking girl of moments ago...

But Mikan, the Void Dragon God.

A truly unique entity in this infinite multiverse of DxD.

As well as the strongest being in all of this world itérations.

Maybe will rewrite this chapter. This was also, like the last one, A complicated one to do. This interaction is to begin the healing of the Mc psyche as well as the introduction of the Void Dragon God. This also to put in perspective that Julian got it way worse since his problems fermented since 17 years ago. All in all, Julian has a trauma with people who wears mask, but he himself wears several. Also, ask yourself that. Did Julian ever showed any of the seven deadly sin since the beginning?
