Chapter 41

In the end of the discussion, surprisingly I was allowed to keep my temporary license. The chief told me to use it only in emergencies and not to use my power freely. I agreed of course, but in no way am I gonna follow that rule. Tell that to someone who cares or who was not a Weeb who got isekai'd and got powers.

I had gone home, Nezu informed me I didn't have to finish my internship because it was redundant anyway. He also informed my things were sent back home by Gran Torino. Before I went home I asked Nezu about Iida's whereabouts so I could talk to him.

He refused, but I promised him it would be beneficial. After some convincing I had his location which was in Hosu general Hospital. Before I left He asked me to take him with me.

I was soaring through the sky with a mouse/bear principal on my back having the time of his life. I was pondering if this was all worth the headache I caused for myself. *sigh* Now I know how Shikamaru feels for just existing. For him anything more tim/energy consuming than breathing is a pain in the ass.

We had reached the hospital and went up to his room on the third room. We excused ourselves, entering to a depressed Four-eyes surrounded by his Mom ad Dad and who I though was his aunt and uncle.

I cracked my knuckle mentally, Now for some talk no jutsu...

I was sitting in silence, I could so a throbbing vein in Iida ready to burst. My very presence was making him made, I was doing it on purpose of course. Or else my Talk no Jutsu would not be as effective.

Nezu was talking to the parents outside the room when Iida finally popped. "WHY ARE YOU HERE MONOMA?! YOU CAME HERE TO GLOAT DIDN'T YOU? WHY DID YOU DO IT? WHY DO YOU HAVE TO KEEp COMING IN MY WAY? TELL ME, WHY DID YOU TAKE AWAY MY CHANCE TO AVENGE NII-SAN!?"

His parents had rushed inside with Nezu in tow. They came when he started his rant, so they heard everything he said. 'Thanks Iida, you are making it easier for me' I though in a villain like a voice.

"Are you done?" I asked calmly, I was still sitting in the same place not moved a bit. "WHAT?!" he yelled. "I asked if you were done with you childish rant. Look at yourself... is this what your brother would want to see?" "YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT MY BROTHER!!"

*sigh*

Third person PoV....

Monoma went near him, before anyone could stop him, he raised his fist and punched him right in the face. The force turning Iida's face to the other side. Even Monoma's normal punches without <one for all> hurt a lot. The shock present on everyone's face except three people in the room.

"Monoma what are doi-!" Nezu went to reprimand the boy for his stupid actions, he had half a mind to suspend him. He went forward to stop any further action but was stopped by a hand. To his utter surprise it was Iida's father who had stopped him.

He gestured Nezu to be quite, with a genuinely happy smile on his face. This confused Nezu to no extent. A guy had punched his already hurt and hospitalised son and he was showing the exact opposite expression.

"YOU FUCKING IDIOT! You really think, he would want this? To see his brother who had so much potential to end up like him? I don't know what he told you, but I'm sure he told you one think, 'Be a good hero'. A hero he himself can look up to. I might even guess he entrusted something to you didn't he? He passed onto you something very important to him." Monoma did not allow Iida to interrupt. To the last two lines Iida's face showed shock and realisation.

Monoma did not wait for a reply, "You know Iida, you are very lucky to have a brother like him. You see, he passed onto you something I call the 'Will of fire'. This is a concept I truly believe. This is the metaphorical torch he had passed onto you. You truly believe that taking revenge is the way to go? Then quit being a hero."

Monoma's voice lost the hardness replaced by a solemn tone, "The cycle of revenge breeds only pain amd regret. You would just feel empty. Being a hero has different principles. Think about it and resolve yourself before you come back. It is a heavy responsibilty to have. One you should be strong enough to bear. Physically and mentally." Monoma turned and started leaving for the door.

Iida's father bowed his head, thanking him, followed by his mother. Nezu just followed him silently, thinking about what had just happened.

Monoma was at the door when he stopped and said without facing Iida, "Iida. With great power..." he stepped outside without finishing it and walked away looking cool to the fan-girling nurses at his presence.
