Chapter 88: The Origins of male name

Okita raised her brow and asked, "What's wrong, Kanie-sama…?"

After she told Seiya her name, Seiya went silent as if he has just seen his greatest demise.

"Just… just a sec…." Seiya raised his hand and then rubbed his eyelashes.

At first, he thought that Shiro and Sakura were an exception. Even though they are from nasuverse but they are ordinary people.

But now he just encountered another character from the same universe and she wasn't even supposed to exist in this timeline.

"I-I see… My name is weird, right?" The girl asked with a downed expression.

"That's not- I mean yeah it is weird but I am thinking about something else," Seiya said and coughed. Man, his tongue doesn't stop once he is depressed. "Anyway, let me get you to the nurse's office. Can you get up?"

"I-I…" Okita shook her head, "I am fine! Just a little rest and I will be good! Cough!" And she coughed again.

"You are not fine." Seiya glared and then lifted her in a princess carry. "I will take you to the nurse's office."

"W-w-what are you doing, Kanie-sama!? I am fine!" Okita blushed and asked Seiya to put her down.

Although being carried out by such a handsome idol of her school, it was embarrassing to be carried out like that in front of everyone. Not like when she could feel gazes like daggers from other girls.

"I will when you get yourself a medical checkup," Seiya said and walked out of the club.

He was not dense as to ignore other girls and make her the target of jealousy but the said person needs medical attention so he could not ignore her.

Okita didn't say anything again and remained silent.

They then went to the nurse's office where the school nurse gave Okita a quick check-up and reassured her condition. Upon hearing from the school nurse, Seiya find out that Okita was regular there.

The nurse then left leaving Okita and Seiya alone.

Okita was fidgeting nervously. The school idol was sitting in front of her and was not saying anything.

"I think I should properly introduce myself." Seiya coughed and then spoke, "I am Seiya Kanie, Class 2-A. You can call me Seiya, my first name."

"But Kanie-sama, how could I…"

"And stop using honorifics. I am already engaged in your affairs so we might just become friends." Seiya smiled.

Okita smiled and nodded, "I am Okita Souji… from class 2-D!" She was a little embarrassed because her name was based on the famous legend and is for males.

Seiya thought that she had very low self-esteem, which must be because of her weird name and weak pale state.

"I am sorry. I know it a little embarrassing name…." Okita again turned red.

"Hehe, it is not embarrassing but unique. Though, I am interested in your name's origin." Seiya said.

Although it was inappropriate to pry on personal information this early when they just met, Seiya still wanted to know why and who named her.

"It's okay if Okita-san doesn't want to tell me."

(AN: I just realized that Okita was her last name but I will be addressing her Okita-san because Okita-san is Okita-san.)

"What are you saying, Kanie-sama- I mean Seiya-san?! I would be happy to tell." Okita smiled and explained her story.

It was her grandpa, her mother's father, who named her. Her family is said to be a decedent of the legendary swordsman Okita Souji.

Since her childhood, she always used to hear the stories of Original Okita Souji and his legendary attack, Sandanzuki (which translates as "Three-Piece Thrust"), a technique that could attack one's neck, left shoulder, and right shoulder with one strike.

Why name her Okita Souji? It was because her grandpa believed in her to be born with the original Okita Souji's spirit.

Seiya was stunned by her behavior but he thought it was funny how she could change from a low self-esteem person to a cheery regular girl.

"Why did you think that I would believe you?"

"Because Seiya-san is also a warrior. When Seiya-san displayed that technique, I knew that you also have good sword skills. Say, are you also descended of some kind of warrior too?!"

With excitement, she realized she got very close to him so pulled back and blushed.

"Well, I don't know but I am just good at everything I do, what can I say~?" Seiya smiled and flicked his hair.

Being praised is still refreshing especially when a waifu praises you.

Seiya was stunned. Is she talking about Flash Steps?

He needed to talk to Yoruichi and Kisuke about Okita. He had other plans too but dungeon exploration was coming so he wanted to figure out his plans related to supernatural after dungeon exploration.

Okita first widened her eyes before a big smile replaced her gloomy look.

"Now cheer up and smile. You are cute so I dislike when cute girls get sad." Seiya smirked and picked her hair bang behind her ear.

Now that he took a closer look, she has a good body and charming face. Slightly pink hair and silver eyes with pale face contribute to her charms on another level. She was just like Okita Souji from FGO but slightly less developed and also her hair was a mess, unlike signature saberface hairstyle.

"C-c-c-cute?!" Okita turned red and jumbled back.

And here we go again. Why the hell does every girl act like they aren't aware of their charms? It is very cliché and generic.

"Of course, I never lie."

Well, at least to his friends and family.

However, Okita had a face not believing Seiya. She is a short and gloomy person who was always coughing.

"You just need a haircut. Hey, how about this? Come with me, I will get you a new look." Seiya said.

Look, guys, a man got priorities and he is simp for saberface, except for one, and he couldn't allow Okita to be looked so gloomy. He wants her to regain her signature hairstyle.

"It's okay, Seiya-san! You don't have to…"

"I will be waiting in the parking lot. Come within 5 minutes." Seiya smiled and waved his hand, leaving her stunned.

Seiya came to the parking lot and pulled his bike. After waiting for a few minutes, Seya saw the silhouette of the pale pink-haired girl. Okita was now in her school uniform.

Like her hair, her face was also pink with some mixed feelings. Just like Eriri, she also wore long socks.

"Seiya-san, its al…"

"I don't know what you are thinking but I am doing this because I want to do something as a friend," Seiya said under his helmet and raised another helmet towards her. "I won't force you."

Okita then smiled and nodded. She put on the helmet and hopped on back.

"Hold tight…. For safety measures."

"O-okay…!" Okita said and wrapped her arms around his chest. She isn't doing anything wrong right? As far as she remembered, the famous Seiya Kanie had a girlfriend and is cute too.

On other hand, Seiya experienced new hope of men when he felt two melons against his back.

If Isuzu is Utaha on steroids then Okita is Eriri.

Anyway, he started the bike and drove away.
