Chapter 60: Needs

Seiya came out of the school and found Isuzu Sento waiting at the main gate.

"You can't simply escape from my charms, Isuzu Sento-chan~," Seiya smirked.

"…!" Isuzu only glared at Seiya without saying anything. If not for the fact that Utaha and then Princess Latifa asked her not to threaten Seiya again, she would have stunned the boy before dragging him to the park. After all, she hurt her close friend. "So what kind of magical power do you receive from Princess Latifa?"

"Is that all you wanted to ask?"

"Not only that, team from Amagi Projects will be coming shortly afterward. I hope you can meet them."

"Did I agree to be the manager of that crappy park?" Seiya asked while wearing his black jacket and his helmet.

"…I don't think you have any right to say crap about the park. I won't tolerate." Isuzu warned while Seiya pulled his motorcycle out of the parking lot.

Yeah, the boy now had his motorcycle. It was the latest model of Suzuki V-Storm 650 that his sweet father bought.

His father didn't have a chance to gift Seiya on his 16th birthday since Seiya didn't come out of his room but after coming from a foreign trip, he brought Seiya's favorite motorcycle. Such a sweet father~.

He also came to school with Utaha this morning. Since she had to go for her novel's publishing opening, she excused herself for the return. Besides, she prefers bicycles more.

License? Seiya was had one also pulled from the backdoor method.

"Sento-chan, prides should be taken on something that gives you pride and that theme park isn't your pride anymore." Seiya said and then pulled an extra helmet out of thin air, "As for the magic power that beautiful princess granted me, I will just say that I have many more secrets than you can guess."

Isuzu widened her eyes. It was similar to her own ability to store things but it was not the ability that Latifa had granted. Does that mean Seiya was aware of supernaturals even before their date?

Isuzu then realized that they made a big blunder evaluating Seiya as an ordinary human.

"Since you ask nicely, I will give you a ride to the park. Hop on."

Isuzu nodded and took the helmet from Seiya and climbed on his back.

"I am still not feeling anything. Make sure to hold tight."

Isuzu was taken back and blushed, "Pervert!"

Seiya smirked and pulled the accelerator and left the school grounds.

Isuzu jugs are better than Utaha, he has to say.

"I am Takaya Kurisu from the Amagi Project."

He was a man in his mid-20s with slicked-back light blonde hair that has one bang hanging on the left side of his face and violet eyes.

Seiya had seen him from anime as he was like the antagonist of the show.

Seiya thought that the man looked a little bit unusual but after using appraisal skills, he at least confirmed that the man looked normal.

He still didn't know if his appraisal ability also needs an upgrade since it still can't appraise Isuzu's or Yoroichi's parameters.

Isuzu also introduced Seiya as an intern for which Seiya didn't retort.

Isuzu already gave a brief intro about his role in Amagi Project so Seiya was pretty much aware of what this man is here for.

Takaya then explained that he was here to ascertain if Isuzu and the rest of the park management is aware of the current situation.

"If the contracting party is unable to fulfill the quota entries of in the following two week period, management rights of the park will be handed over to the controlling party of the Amagi Project."

Takaya further explained the contents of the contract to ensure the terms and conditions of the contract where the number of entries must be one million for the year or the administration of the park will be handed over to Amagi Project, should the breach of term exceed for five years.

In short, in the next two weeks, 100,000 entries are required to avoid getting shut down.

Seiya felt that the contract looked out of line and he was correct when he checked it out with his Appraisal ability, it was a total sham. Even without Appraisal Ability, his advocate skills were enough to determine the creditability of the contract.

Seiya was at a loss for words since Princess and Isuzu were clearly been tricked by these scums but there was nothing he could do for now.

He was not in any position to defend this park nor would he gain any visible profit.

Even if he was able to take proceedings to the court, it would require a good number of pieces of evidence and records to sue Amagi Project. It will also probably take 2 weeks or a month to even appear in court and for that, it will be too late.

Takaya continued to corner Isuzu who doesn't even seem to have any idea what Takaya Kurisu is trying to achieve. Isuzu was only admitting everything that Takaya was saying.

Seiya confirmed one thing for sure, Isuzu has terrible conversation or negotiation skills. No wonder park is going bankrupt.

"I understand…" Isuzu replied.

"No, you don't understand, Sento-san. Even for a theme park, an average family would normally spend… Let's see…" Taka said and then started calculating on his tab.

"83200 yen." It was then Seiya spoke for the first time.

"My~ Mr. High schooler, you are correct. Why don't join our Amagi Project instead of working here as an intern only?

"Nah, I pass. I have taken a liking to this girl. May you even see us dating in the future." Seiya replied.

At first, Isuzu thought that Seiya would agree since he pretty much hates Isuzu and Princess after what happened in their date but his reply almost stopped her heartbeat for a second as she blushed. She didn't even consider that Seiya already have a girlfriend.

"How sweet~. Anyway, 83,200 yen, do you think any family would even spend this amount of money on this kind of park? Does this park even worth this money?"

Isuzu glared at Takaya. She sighed, "Well if you let us try something happens in meantime…"

"Well sure. After all, all clients that come here are all idiots."

At this point, Isuzu had enough. She was about to pull her musket when Seiya tightly held her hand. Isuzu looked at Seiya with contempt his focus was Takaya Kurisu.

"Well, Kurisu-san, you are right on every spot but don't you think have carried away? After all, this term of the quota filling could be extended on certain grounds."

All of them immediately stood on their wits. Even Isuzu was surprised if such a lifeline could even be achieved.

"Ho? What would that be?"

"If I remember correctly then several requests, for changing the bus stop location of the park, have been made for 10 years but your administrative team doesn't seem any better than this park's management. For that ground, I am pretty sure I can get a delay holding the title from the court. If you want a challenge me, on advocacy then I will happily play with you."

Takaya's expression then turned a little grim before he sighed and asked, "Well I might not be aware of this point. Sure, I will be happy to help you here."

"Two days. Within two days, if the stop doesn't change, we may meet each other in court. How does that sound, Kurisu-san?"

"Very well. I have taken this ask. You will not be disappointed. It was nice to talk to a competent person."

Takaya smiled and bowed one last moment before leaving the room.

"Why did you stop me…?" Isuzu asked.

"And let you corner yourself even more. The least you could do is to say thanks." Seiya raised his brow.

Isuzu turned away with pink cheeks.

"That was a good estimation. Is that your new ability?"

"You mean mind reading? Nah, I don't even need to use that for such trivial things." Seiya said and then stretched his arm, "Well, now that settles. I will be going home."

"Wait what about the offer being a manager?"

"What about it? You never explained anything neither did I ever agree to such."

"Seiya Kanie, are you playing trick?!" Isuzu was furious.

Seiya didn't reply but instead stepped closer until he was only a few inches away from Isuzu.

"Then Isuzu Sento, let me ask you something. If you were in my position where a boy forced you to go on date with you despite already having a boyfriend and then some other random guy kisses you just to awaken your power and offer you to save a lost cause, what would your reaction be?"

Isuzu was taken back as she then realized if that was the case for her. Of course, she would have killed the boy or erased his memory if she needed it with her gun. She knew that what she did was wrong but it was the only way available to her.

"I… I belong to Royal Guards who protect the loyal family. I grew up in strict training with only combat purposes. I was never told how to ask for favors. So…"

"I am sorry but I would have loved to sympathize with such a cute girl had you at least offered to my friend first."

Isuzu bushed a little when Seiya called her cute.

"Well, it doesn't matter," Seiya said and started to walk out.

"Wait Kanie-kun. You have been prophesized by the oracle that you could save this park…" She turned down and looked at Seiya's departing figure again with glittering eyes, "You are our last hope… I want to save us… please…"

However, Seiya never turned and also disappeared from her vision.

It was just a dead end. She knew she only has herself to blame.

Seiya was a good guy. His criticism was never directed to her or Latifa but their methods of doing so. Even in the meeting, he has helped her without even knowing anything about the contract.

If she had asked carefully if she just knew to change her way of speaking, only if she had approached him the first day before he could meet Utaha, maybe it could be her standing beside Seiya… no, her purpose was only to save this park not to be his girl.

Even if the thought of being his girl looks good, she was never meant to be in that position.

She rubbed her watery eyes last time before exiting the room to tell Princess Latifa that there is no hope for them, not anymore.

Seiya came outside to take some fresh air when he spotted Takaya smocking a cigarette.

"It might be my imagination but I think I have seen you before. Ah that's right, Seya Kodama, right? I knew it, the famous child actor."

At first, Seiya wanted to beat the shit out of this man but he knew that raising his hand will only make him look like a loser.

Seiya already hates this guy.

"You are not going anywhere with that crap. Say whatever the hell you want, Mr. Smartyass."

"My~, it was not my intention to agitate Kanie-san but I am simply curious, what are you doing here? Dating Sento-san doesn't seem to be your intention."

"I would have answered your question but you are on my gray list already." Seiya smiled.

"Kanie-kun, you are smart and brave. Just one piece of advice, those who stick with losers will become losers. Be careful…" Takaya smirked before going into his car.

"Says the person in charge of liquidating this theme park of losers. I will keep that in mind." Seiya also smirked.

"Hehe, good. See you later then." Takaya smiled before leaving in his car.

Seiya sighed and sat down on the bench.

It's not like he didn't want to help this park but 100,000 entries only in two weeks are impossible.

There are also many unknown variables especially the identity of that Takaya Kirisu along with the true mechanics of this park. After all, it was run by fairies and some other humanoid races.

Also, the mission that he had in front of him since his last conversation in the room.

[Main-Quest: Save the park

The theme park required a miracle to be saved. A big challenge could only be won by the champion. The system sees this as a great opportunity for the host to grow in the business industry.

Objective: Help this theme park reach 100,000 entries within two weeks.

Reward: 100,000 system points, (Upgrade) Ability: Appraisal, ???]

[Accept: Yes/No]

Seiya looked at the sky and sighed. Looks like he will definitely become a slave to this system. System points are useless for now since besides upgrading simple skills to Rank C, they don't have any use.

However, the image of Princess Latifa and then that girl Isuzu started to roam in his head.

He has visited this park in his childhood with his mother. He had promised Latifa that he will make her happy but then forgot his promise.

Now that he has received the gift in form of first magic, he has to repay her.

Without a second thought, he accepted the quest and got up from his seat.
