Chapter 28: The Cat 1

"What the…?" Seiya covered his eyes slightly as he tried to analyze the situation.

The giant hollow that was just coming was his neck was blown by a single punch by a girl! What the hell?!

He was in awe and wanted to see the girl but because of the dust, he couldn't grasp her face.

"Kid, return home and don't ever come here." Seiya heard the girl's voice. It should belong to a grown woman as he could see the projection of her image behind the wall of dust.

Seiya was a little stunned as the girl's voice, as well as her image, matched the girl he had seen in the anime. He didn't want to jump down to a conclusion but he has to take a closer look or inquire about her name.

"But what the hell is happening here? And who are you?" Seiya asked as he tried to get closer but his muscles were still sore from the impact making it hard to walk.

"It doesn't matter. Just stay out of trouble if you don't want to die." The girl said and before Seiya could get up and take a closer look, the girl disappeared.

'Guah!!! What the fuck with these cliché lines? Didn't she see me killing those ghosts? I am already in this shit.' Seiya kicked the air as he was frustrated with what just happened.

He just missed his chance to get a martial art master. He was thinking of confronting the girl but she disappeared before he could get a chance to talk to her.

He also had so many queries to solve especially finding someone to teach him martial arts and to know about the supernatural but it was now over. He didn't want to wait any longer to find that girl.

Just as he was thinking, a window popped up.

[Sub-quest has been triggered.]

[Sub-Quest: Get a martial art teacher.

Since the narcissist wants to get stronger, he needs a strong master trainer to train with.

Objective: Become a disciple of a master teacher that you want to train with.

Rewards: 100 system points and Skill [Acupuncture (???)]

Note: Level of rewards will be determined by how and whom you choose to be your teacher.]

"YES!" Seiya destroyed the YES button and smiled.

If he was the 'coward' Seiya then he would still be hesitating to accept such a quest but this new Seiya wants to grab every opportunity to train after what he went through this day.

"Now it's time to get a cat!" Seiya smirked and formed a plan. There was no way he was going to halt this quest any day longer.

Why? Because his inner sense was telling him that it would take very long to find 'her' again.

If he guessed her identity correctly then he is going to take this chance and confront her even if he has a 1% chance to win against her.

"She must be here." Seiya grinned and got up to bait the cat.

A cat was standing near the end of the hospital to confirm if that boy left or not. She was not worried about him but was just thinking if she could spot any other hollow or similar monster.

Although if she must say, she was just curious as to just how the hell he even managed to defend the attack from a Gillian Hollow.

"Kitty, kitty where are you?!"

It was then she heard the voice of the same boy. He was searching for a cat, probably her, in the same spot.

"Hey little kitty, where are you? This place is dangerous. Please come here so that I can take you to a safer place. I can't let an innocent cat be killed or possessed by those monsters." The boy spoke in a highly cautious tone.

The cat was baffled as the boy was more concerned about the cat than himself. He should be running away! But she has to say she was a little touched by the boy. However, she can't let him stay here like an idiot.

She could have just left the body but she now has a responsibility to lure the boy out of this hospital.

"Nya~!"

(AN: I don't know why Japanese cats are Nya while the whole world is Meow.)

Just as she released a cry, the boy immediately noticed her and started walking towards her.

Success.

Just as he followed her, she finally lured him out of the hospital.

Now whether he wants to leave or return to that hospital, it was not her concern anymore.

So just as she was about to leave, the boy called.

"Wait, little kitty!"

??

The cat turned around and saw the boy's pleading eyes. She was just curious what this boy has to say?

"You might be hungry so I have some leftover that I brought from my house." The boy said and then took out a plate of freshly cooked fish. "Look."

Wait, did he just pull out a plate of food from his ass?

Whatever the case might be but the aroma of the fish was so strong that she can't help but drool. Even though she didn't want to wait any longer, who wants to say no to free food? Besides, the boy looks harmless.

"Nya!" The cat purred and leaped forward and started devouring the fish.

Oh god, it's so good~!

The cat was overjoyed when she took the first bite. It was very delicious to the point that she can't just take her mouth off the plate.

"Hmm, hmm~, no need to be in hurry, little kitty. Take your time."

Aww, and the boy is cute too… but why the hell does she feel a chill as if someone was planning something sinister?

She shrugged off those thoughts as she wanted to concentrate on the meal.

"Good, kitty. You are so sweet…" The boy said and started patting her.

She was the cat who wouldn't let anyone pat her but since the boy offered such a generous meal; she would just allow him to pat her as a form of payment.

However, just as he was patting her, suddenly his hand grabbed her from a certain point of her spine and lifted her without any haste.

What the hell?! Why can't she move her body?!

It was then she saw a wide grin on the boy's face and noticed that the boy doesn't look very innocent.

"…and very cunning cat~."

What the hell does he mean? Did he already find her idend-

"Don't act like an idiot, anymore. I know you are the girl who just defeated that hollow."

"Nani?!"

It was then the cat screamed in the male voice.

'Oh my god, I am so awesome! I should pat my shoulder for catching this cat! Hahahaha!!' Seiya thought as he rejoiced.

Who would have thought that he would catch this cat with his acting? He was so overjoyed that he even forgot the talking cat in his hands.

"Kid, I am warning you. Release me this instant or consequences will be severe." The cat in his hands tried to shrug off from his hands but how could she do so. He was, after all, using his mystic eyes to pinpoint her life energy. He then followed these energy points and lines and subdued this cat. He was perfectly aware that if he loses his grip even once, he won't be going to see this cat anytime soon.

He can't help but grin and feel pity for this foolish cat who has been fooled that easily.

At first, he was not sure if the cat and 'that' girl are the same person but then this cat opened its mouth and spoke in a male voice, confirming her identity for him.

"Give up missy. I know perfectly well that you are the exhibitionist girl that killed that hollow." Seiya smiled. Even though he had enough wisdom to act like a gentleman, he was extremely pissed to play that sassy role anymore.

"How did you know that it was hollow? No, wait, more importantly, what made you certain I am a girl?" The cat spoke.

"I have my ways." Seiya casually spoke. He didn't need to answer anything to her. He would only be honest when she would accept to listen to him.

"Brat! You have made a mistake. Now I am pissed!" The cat then spoke in a hefty voice and started to glow.

Seiya widened her eyes as he knew that was happening and chances of getting her to his size were now narrow.

'Shit.'

He had made a slight blunder as he saw the cat transforming into a beautiful dark girl with golden eyes.
