Musings of an Irregular

A parade of binaries were flashing at the screen as Tatsuya typed fervently. One after the other, screens opened and closed as data rushed by; one had information set of what is called a demon lord; the other had the specification of a blonde woman brandishing a claymore, and the last one had the description of a man with white hair in a kimono.

All of that happened within the instance of a minute, and such a feat did seem to faze him at all. It was at the level of intellectual marvel that can't be understood by normal people who aren't privy to these details, especially in this day and age where virtual terminals have become prevalent due to their ease of use, and the fact that it has become even rarer to find people who were fast when it comes to keyboard inputs. Though, the truly astonishing thing was how he was able to understand these data in its raw form.

"..."

Tatsuya paused the operation as soon as he hit a peculiar screen.

---Manaka Sayjou.

That was what the screen read.

Tatsuya resumed typing and within a minute later the same screen popped up. It was strange. Out of all the members of the multiversal chat group, only Manaka's identity wasn't consistent to the source of information he found. It quickly became apparent how there were a lot of aberrations regarding her information, like how they had different surnames, personality, and the disparity of their knowledge with regards to "magic" to name a few.

Tatsuya mulled over some more. At least from his observations, the Manaka he knew and the Manaka on the screen seemed like two different persons. For the time being, he decided to put those questions on hold as he went on to the last mystery of the group chat:『 』

It wasn't that there were glaring inconsistencies, it was more so the lack of information surrounding this person. It was as if they had no "identity".

That said, Tatsuya came up with two suspects in mind. Technically, it was three. But he ruled two out of the three suspects as one considering they shared the same pseudonym, and by extension practically inseparable. Additionally, given their particular hobby for games and somewhat inquisitive nature, Tatsuya was sure they would have made an appearance by now if『 』was them. Thus, he was leaning on to the last suspect, which he felt like was more accurate.

Tatsuya wordlessly typed once more.

Before long, the operation was finished and had gone by in a flash. This time, a "normal" screen appeared, one with images and letters from the alphabet.

Once the page resolved in his eyes...

"---Johan Liebert," Tatsuya couldn't help but mutter as his brows furrowed.

If and if his conjecture was right, it won't be just him, the rest of the chat group will have to deal with this "monster".
