Small Talks

Blair was sitting in his office doing a few paperwork regarding wizengamot's new case. when he heard a knock on the door.

"Come in"

Aurora came through the door before quietly sitting in front of Blair. She didn't say anything, she just quietly sat there, with her head down looking at the ground.

"Want to tell me what happened," Blair said calmly.

"Why does everyone hate me just because of my surname," Aurora whispered.

"Who said everyone hates you," Blair said.

"No one talks to me aside from my roommate."

"They don't hate you they just fear your surname. Just give them time, they will come around and who said everyone hates you, you have your brother and sister, Lucas and most importantly me, your father. Those who hate you don't know anything about you. They are just a bunch of nobodies." Blair said while leaning on his chair.

"But I also want to make friends, Just like Melania."

"You don't have to worry, you will eventually find them. It will take time. It's better to have one good friend then multiple fake ones"

" You just say that because you have friends." Aurora finally looked up at him with her moiety grey eyes.

"It not a big secret but until I reached age 13 I didn't have a single friend."

"Really?" Aurora looked a little sceptical.

"Have I ever lied to you."

"No, who was your first friend."

"Well, she was not exactly you can call a friend she was more of a like whiny little sister. Always whining to me 'I don't want to do this' or 'I don't want to do that. You might have seen her picture on the Library table."Blair said while directly looking into Aurora's eyes" Anyway, tell me about your roommate."

"Her name is Hermione she is a little bossy but....." Just like that Aurora came out of her depressed mood.

'This Brats just need a distraction, I wonder how I became such a professional in distracting people.'

Next day

"Ok students let's start with our class, My name is Blair Bradley and today I will be teaching you how to fight a battle, not duelling, There is a difference between this two. Even though this class is known as duelling class, I am also going to teach you how to fight a real battle. Anyway, can anyone tell me what is the most important thing you should keep in mind while fighting a life and death duel. I like to call it 'Battleling' to avoid more confusion" Blair said calmly.

Multiple hands rose up including the Black twins' as well as Aurora.

"Mister Longbottom."

Neville who was sitting with Seamus said.

"Knowing spells" Neville and Shamus snickered.

"Of course you need spells to fight, Please try to give a sensible answer next time Mister Longbottom. Yes, Miss Granger?".

"Posture. One must have proper posture while facing an opponent."

"Wrong, This is the biggest misconception everyone have. Fighting a battle and duelling are two different fields."

Blair then looked at the class.

"Mister Black can you tell me the most important thing while fighting a battle."

Sirius who was sitting beside a Black-haired kid got up.

"To survive"

"Exactly. 10 points to Slytherin." Blair turned around and wrote 'TO SURVIVE' on the blackboard," To survive, that's the main thing you should keep in mind while fighting. In a duel, stunning someone is the priority and in a battle, your priority is to kill your opponent."

Most of the students look frightened, especially the Hufflepuffs.

" Nowadays there are rarely any life and death battles and you will earn yourself a place in Azkaban If you kill someone So you don't have to worry about it. Now that the difference between a duel and a battle is clear let's move forwards to our next topic. 3 main rules you should follow while you are engaged in a duel CONSTANT VIGILANCE."

Blair suddenly stunned Neville.

Two hours later.

"Anyway that's all for today, Mister Black can you please stay behind for a minute." The students happily left the class while discussing something about his class being far better the DADA.

After everyone left the classroom, Sirius came in front of him.

"So how is Slytherin house."

"It's better then I expected. My roommate is also good, Quite and minds his own business."

"Good, good"

"I heard that Muggleborns got to have their own room all by themselves," Sirius said.

"Ironic isn't it, They thought they could isolate the Muggleborns by doing this, But instead, people like me benefited with it. I could do anything in my room without any interruption, when I was studying at this school." Blair said.

"There are rumours spreading throughout the school that you married Grindlewald's daughter and Aurora is you biological daughter. It was also on the front page of Daily Prophet." Sirius said while directly looking at his father.

"Let me guess, Rita Skeeter" Sirius just nodded "She was always a pain in my arse. the rumours will settle down after a while. Anyway, what were you discussing with the hat, It took nearly 4 Minutes to get you sorted"

"Well, we were debating about which house should I go. I wanted to go to Gryffindors but the hat was adamant on sending me to Slytherin."

"I knew from the start that you will go to Slytherins. Anyway, you don't have to worry about your sister, I talked to her. Melania on the other hand is doing quite good mixing in with the Gryffindor crowd. You should go or you will get late for your next class."

"It's Flying broom class." Sirius gave a depressed sigh.

"My advice, you should stick with your sisters, they will teach you how to fly. If you can't fly by the end of the day, Stop calling me father." Blair said with a hint of humour in his voice. Sirius hated flying and Blair knew that.

"You are the one talking, I haven't seen you on a broom as long as I remember." Sirius grumbled as he was exciting the classroom.

"Well I can fly"

"Stop lying, no can fly without a broom"
