New Owner

Lexi recovered pretty quickly especially that she is with Carl. Her son can now walk and choos whenever he is looking for her. Now, she is checking on the report of the new hire employees in front of her laptop while Carl nested on her lap. He refused to be put on bed and only wants to sleep near his mother.

Lexi gently caresses his boy's hair. His nose, eyes, lips and chin even the shape of his face is just like his father's. Anyone who would see Carl would readily say that his father is a good looking man. All she can do is thank the heavens that no one ever sees Mario's face or else they can really say without a doubt that he is Carl's father. And that's what she fears the most. She will work very hard to give Carl a good future but she doesn't like his son to be tangled to any rich people' problem.

An email was sent by Rose and it contains her schedule for the next week. She was surprised that the President of the Company will visit C Company. Why? Monday is the day she starts to sit down and observe training classes. Why does the President even want to check the outsourcing company? Something is fishy. She was asked by Rose if she can be on a video call on the afternoon for the specifics. Seems like it is cery urgent.

Lexi slowly carries Carl to the bed and she prepared herself to the video call.

Even though she is on sick leave, she wore a long sleeve and blazer then applied powder and a light lipstick. She brushes her hair and put a small pink clip on the right side. She looks so young.

When she joined the call, she saw the cameras are on aside from one. She saw one camera is focused on the C Company boardroom, she can see Anna and Lei sitting up front then others are the Directors and CEO of C Company and Rose. Everyone greeted her and asked if she is alright.

"You look young." Of course the remark came from Gerard that she did not even reacted to.

Rose looks a little nervous when she started talking. "What I can say is one thing that is consistent in a business is change." Then looks at Lexi.

Lexi feels a fangs of fear. Oh no! What is happening? Is the company closing?

"As of today, the new owner of the W Electronics is the Lu Group of Companies."

Lexi gapes and she is speechless. All her hardwork to avoid Mario all fades away.
