"Let's start from the begining." Fenrir Narrarates.
***************
About 2 weeks prior, May 10th.
"I need to get out of here..." Fenrir muttered, hearing moans for the last 10 days wasn't very healthy afterall. Fenrir decided to sneak off through the labyrinth to explore the surroundings. He knew that the only way through was to utilize the map so he grabbed the map and utilized it to make his way through the treacherous labyrinth. As most traps are designed to kill humans he was able to ignore most of them and the few that could harm him were luckily out of the way.
"The way out is going by much faster than it did going in... Perhaps it's easier once you've already made it through, I hope that is the case anyway. Otherwise coming back in would be a pain." Fenrir said to himself.
As Fenrir made it to the exit he recalled the stairway was trapped. "I recall hearing that many animals have magic cores of some sort, and in some cases allow for the use of magic... I also recall Iskandor going over the basics of magic..."
As Fenrir recalls this and looks inward his form seems to blur into the shadows and slowly sinks in. Fenrir realized this can tried moving, it was quite awkward to move in a 2 dimensional space as a shadowy blob as opposed to a complex creature in 3 dimensional space. However Fenrir learned quickly and was soon able to move down the stairs as a weightless shadow. 'It seems I left the map at the top of the stairs.' Fenrir thought to himself after realizing that he can't yet speak in shadow form. To him the world is still 3 dimensional much like himself but also completely different from what he is used to. The movements are much the same to move around but require different neural networks to fire to facilitate the motion. Fenrir is subconsciously aware that from the outside he appears as a shadow however. He doesn't understand how this works and why he is aware of it and simply accepts it. Fenrir however gets curious as to the limitations of the shadow realm, does gravity act in the same way? Can he affect physical objects if he intends to?
As these thoughts crossed his mind Fenrir leaped onto the mountainside, the specific location having an angle that he wouldn't normally be able to stand on, however he was able to stand on it, even walk and run on it. At this discovery Fenrir got even more daring and jumped onto the ground from that location, a hight that should have harmed him, yet he was perfectly fine. Fenrir hit the ground running and charged at a tree, running up it's vertical surface. Soon however he saw something that was a bit shocking, a white glow not too far from the tree he was on. He quickly ran down the tree and managed to emerge from the shadow realm to find a white fox staring at him.
"Hello?" Fenrir said a bit cautiously but still clearly friendly. At this the fox responded by turning around quickly and running away, not out of fear or playfulness, but of cunning and curiosity. "I just wanna talk!" Fenrir said, chasing after the fox.
As Fenrir chased the fox it made several seemingly impossible manuevers, going through gaps way too small and making turns at impossible angles for its speed. Fenrir was barely managing to keep up but soon realized the fox was using a similar magic to entering the shadow realm as he referred to it. Only instead of dark it was using light to subtly shift in and out of a space where the laws of physics don't apply to make these impossible manuevers. Realizing this Fenrir decided to do the same, although he wasn't nearly as proficient in switching in and out the 2 phases he was improving rapidly, almost as if the fox was subtly teaching him. 'Why would they teach me?' Fenrir thought to himself, distracted he didn't realize the fox had stopped and ran into it, but before the collision could do much harm the fox shifted between the planes to let Fenrir effectively phase through it's body.
"A fast learner gifted with magic despite being a little careless..." The fox, identified as a female, teased.
"I'll take the complement, even if you were trying to tease me." Fenrir replied.
"I see you aren't foreign to conversation, do you have a name?" She asked.
"Only if you do." Fenrir responded.
"Fair enough, I did get you to chase me quite the distance, my name is Inari Shiro, you can call me Inari or Shiro, either's fine." Shiro answered.
"My name is Fenrir. I can see you were using light magic in the same way as I was using dark, you are also much more skilled than me with magic." Fenrir begins "If you wouldn't mind I'd like to become your friend and perhaps learn magic from you."
"Ok, Fenrir, I'll be your friend. But I'd also like to know more about you." Shiro answered.
"Sure, but in trade I'd like to know your story." Fenrir answered.
"Alright, let's start with you." Shiro said. Fenrir then recounted his short story so far, being injured by the cultists and having to be left behind in Iskandor's hands, the basic pack structure of Iskandor's pack and other details about himself. "You are much younger than you look, a month old and yet look about 6 months for a wolf. Not to mention your fur and eye color, unlike any wolf I've met." Shiro says.
"I have yet to see another fox with pearl white fur and eyes as beautiful as sapphire." Fenrir says.
"Looks like we have a flirt on our hands." Shiro teases. "However a fox with the same colors is not as rare as you'd imagine, especially compared to a wolf with ruby red eyes and fur like ebony." Shiro teased, walking closer to Fenrir.
"Guess that makes me special." Fenrir joked.
"Now don't get cocky, a special appearance and a little talent can only get you so far." Shiro replied.
"So, what would you like to do Shiro?" Fenrir asked. At this Shiro would have face palmed if it was a fox gesture.
"A a male wolf you should be dominant, if you still want to be kind word it like "Would you care to hunt with me?" or are you a beta male?" Shiro teased.
"You could say being with my pack has made me much kinder, not necessarily more submissive and not to say that wolves are all hostile." Fenrir answered.

With this Fenrir continued the story, how he stayed in the woods a few nights and snuck in and out other nights and how he eventually met Rocky. "I guess as I've shared all this I'd ask this now, should Shiro accept I would like your blessing for her to be my mate."
"I'm not sure how crossbreeding works but I'd like to meet her before I give my blessing. You'll almost certainly get it..." Iskandor says.
"I'll go fetch her now." Fenrir says.
Another day with 2 chapters... I guess that's what happens when your caught up on most of the books your reading and at a boring spot in the rest and have nothing to watch without starting yet another show...
