10 kingdom and taxes

Raj woke up the next morning. He went outside being greeted by the villagers before they went to work. Raj checked his ore supply seeing that he had more than enough iron for his ideas. "First off I need to make a gate"

While it was safe in here he needed to be able to get goods from outside. Raj smelted some iron and grabbed wood with some stone. Raj made a few stone gears and then made a crank. With the same system used to create his mineshaft Raj made a drawbridge.

Raj made it from wood with stone lining its edges.

"Ok step one done, next up." Raj took a quick breath. "I need to make an actual economy." Raj went over to the town center before turning right back around. 'I'll figure it out later' Raj went to do some training.

Going over to a tree behind his house he got to work. Simply punching the tree to test his limits. While he could punch trees before he took damage when he did. Now however he took none and the tree was nearly broken after 5 minutes.

Raj next tested out his jumping capabilities. Raj first jumped regularly. 'So I can jump around 40 inches.' Raj jumped again but this time double jumped. 'Ok so that time I jumped 100 inches or 8ft' raj tested again.

Raj jumped but with half his power only reaching a foot. When he double jumped he still went up another 2 feet. "So the power of my double jump relies on my original jump strength. With this in mind raj would make sure to start practicing with his legs.

"Alright" 'i can't really test out my speed or strength but i could test my skin a little more' Remembering his internal organs were also as tough as bronze raj grabbed something to bite. Raj grabbed a wood chip, biting it in half. The wood chip more or less dinged around the inside of his mouth.

"That's good but now I have to try this" Raj first set 2 wood logs down. Taking a running head start, Raj jumped into the jog with his legs open. A small ding happened before the log broke in half. "So my balls are as strong as copper, good to know"

Finally raj grabbed a wood chip. Opening his eyes wide, Raj slowly put the wood chip near his eye. When it finally touched his eye it became bronze and the wood chip broke. Raj fell to the ground panting.

"At Least I know that my entire body is now as strong as bronze." Raj tested out a few more abilities before going back to the wall. Above him Raj could see what looked to be a person on a stick.

-the person on the stick-

"UH, Why do I have to look for some random villagers, it's not like I'm being paid?" said a girl wearing purple robes. She recently received a mission to look for 80 or so villagers. "How do 80 just up and disappear? ''

The woman had been flying around for a few hours now and was bored out of her mind. "What's this?" She flew down seeing a bunch of broken branches.

"This wasn't here before." Getting even closer it looked to be a bunch of hoof prints. "Finally," At her fastest pace she flew through the forest. Only after 30 minutes did she see a stone fortress. "Holy hell" The lady flew into the air and quickly flew around the huge fortress. "Wow" She flew above one of the walls before coming down."

"What the hell is that? '' A woman on a staff of some kind flew in front of me. "Hey, are you a part of the villagers that went missing?" The woman asked Raj. "Why would that matter?" the woman's face twitched slightly.

"Well on behalf of the kingdom, I've been set to bring you all back" The lady did a quick bow towards raj. Raj thought for a moment. "No thanks" Raj got off his wall before going towards the town center.

Not sparing a glance the woman went to the town center. "Hello everyone, I on behalf of the kingdom have come to bring you back to your village, all of the Ork's have been slain and it is safe to return."

The villagers stood still before someone shouted. "Do we have to pay taxes?" the woman nodded. "What about our houses, are they rebuilt?" The woman's eyebrow twitched. "No, you will have to build your own houses."

"What about food, do we get free food?" The woman was going to speak but was cut off. "Are our jobs rebuilt, so we can earn money." The woman thought for a second before shaking her head.

After a quick pause one more person spoke. "Why would we go back then?" The woman thought before agreeing. "Well, it's kind of your home" Her answer went unheard.

"We have food, water and free housing."

"We don't need to pay taxes"

"and we can rest whenever we want ''

"as long as we get work done we can do whatever."

"And it's more secure"

The woman got on her staff before flying off. "That was weird." Like nothing happened, everyone went back to work.

-with the woman-

The woman took out an earring and placed it on her ear. "Che-" "Don't worry I heard it." On the other side of the earring a tall man was sitting at a desk. "We'll just bring some guards and stuff in a week to have them become part of the kingdom. By then they should've run out of food and if not we will just force them" The man said.

"But sir, they seem to like it there" The man sighed. "And I liked laying in my bed, but do I get that? No, so as I said, in a week we will make them part of the kingdom" the man seemingly had enough of the earring. Laying back in his chair he let out a breath of air. "Finally, I can sleep"
