Chapter 8: Confession

It is early in the morning. While taking a bath, all I think about is Lara. Am I falling for her? No I shouldn't fall for her because I need to got back.

I immediately went to the museum. Since my job has changed I need to ask Lara where I'm assigned but I couldn't face her after I hugged her.

I went to the head department and they told me that I'm assigned at the first floor. My job is to maintain the security of the paintings. I also guide and manage tourists who visit that section.

Tomorrow I'll be assigned on the second floor antiques section and then next week I'll be on the third floor documents section.

It's been an hour and I'm bored. There are only a few tourists today. I haven't seen Lara for a while now. Is she inside her office? I have a 30 minutes break later. I should atleast go see her.

I went to her office and saw her doing something. Lara is returning some books above the cabinet and something went wrong.

"ah! ", she shouted. She almost fell on the floor but I got her on my arms. My heart beated so fast as we look on each other eyes. Then I settled her.

Lara said, "Thank you Lucas. What brings you here?" She sat on her chair and continue to work.

"Uhmm actually it's my break time and I just wanted to see you then I saw the ladder broke so I quickly come to save you.", I said then I sat on her office couch.

She replied, "oh okay." She look ok so I asked her, "Lara aren't you mad?"

She stopped writing then she looked at me. "No Lucas, I'm just shocked on what you did because I didn't expect it.", she replied.

"Lara, I have to tell you something. On the first day we met, I've seen your kindness even though I'm just a stranger. You helped me to find a job and it brought me a huge blessing but you are actually the blessing. You also helped me to find my watch that means a lot to me. I think I'm falling for you Lara.", I confessed. I'm so nervous.

I came to her and hug her on her back for the second time. "Lara I like you.", I sincerely said. l'm scared. What will she answer. Will she reject me? It's ok atleast I told her what I feel.
