Chapter 45: Saying Goodbye

I read the paper many times. I read it until I memorized it.

When I thought about tonight, I was really going to need that paper and route.

Where was Aiden? Was he a part of Sophie’s murder?

I couldn’t say goodbye to him. I couldn’t face him.

The only thing I could do was run away. To save my life and the other lives in danger.

I tried to find my way out. I was on the first floor but had to go back to the garden so that I could sneak out.

Everyone was gathering since Nina’s speech was coming up. Until then, I had time before Aiden would notice.

Where were Di, Elena, and Enzo? I had to warn them, too.

I saw waitresses coming out of a staircase and walking on the ground floor to do their servings.

I walked around the railings without going downstairs because everyone would see me.

Dim lights would help me not get recognized. At least I hoped.

I found the stairs that weren't used by guests. Hopefully, there was no one there at the moment.
