Chapter 10: Luigi's

A day didn’t go by without thinking of him, his kiss, his presence, his mystery. But he wasn’t the only thing in my life, and it hurt to think about.

Max would text or call. Sophie would text or call. I didn’t know for how long I had to keep avoiding them. But I was fighting with all my power, and I had no intention of facing them.

I could perhaps understand Max, but for Sophie, I couldn’t come up with any excuse for her obsession with this situation.

My parents were also questioning my life when I would come back to them when this adventure of mine would be over. To them, I wasn’t trying to build a life, I was just having an adventure before settling down.

Even though we had a good relationship, deep down they knew that I simply ran away from every problem I had. After applying to every job advertisement I found relatable to my field, I found myself here. In the middle of England, trying to get a grip on my life. Trying to feel in control.
