Chapter 1- Home Sweet Home

They just graduated from Stanford University a few days ago. Aria, Karina, and Laura were thinking about looking for a job within the next few weeks. These 24 year olds, were all very close friends who lived with each other as roommates in college and now as friends who live in a house in California.

"Laura! You should really hurry up before your pancakes get cold!" Aria warned. "Don't worry I'm almost done!" Laura answered back. "Yeah, almost done means 10 more minutes." Karina joked. "Hahaha, that's true. Are you sure you don't want any milk with that?" She was gesturing toward the plate of pancakes Karina was eating. "I'm sure, milk is not really in my category. Thank you though!" "No problem." Aria asked Karina, "Hey, do you want to go to the beach later? I'm really hot, it's like it's getting warmer and warmer everyday." "Sure! It'll be fun!" Karina responded excitingly.

Laura walks in and heads straight for the pancakes. "Look who's finally here." "Yeah, yeah, whatever, at least I'm taking the time looking for fashionable clothes. Unlike someone who wears clothes that makes her look like a soccer mom." Aria quickly looks down at her clothes and decides that she actually does look like one. "You know what? Why don't you, Karina tell Laura about our plans. Meanwhile I will go change into something that... doesn't look like a soccer mom." She then darts into the hallway and into her room. "Hahaha, that girl. So, what are our plans for today?" "We are going to head to the beach later today." Laura said in a cool way, "Sweet! I was hoping to get out of the house."

Laura and Karina finished eating and Aria came out looking wonderful. "Now that looks decent." Laura complimented. "You know, I am so glad that I have a friend who is hurtfully honest." Aria smiles and everyone laughs. That's one of the things I liked about this group of friends. They can never hurt each other. They all understand one another and always look out for each other.

As Karina was driving the girls to the beach, Laura was asking them about something. "What are we going to do after the beach?" "Could we go shopping? I am running out of skirts." Karina usually wore a beautiful and formal blouse with a skirt. She always looked like a royal. "Yeah, I think we have more than enough money to buy something for each of us." Aria said. Aria and Laura agreed on that. "Thanks you guys!" "No worries." Aria and Laura said at the same time.

The girls had so much fun at the beach and also on the shopping hunt. They stopped at Starbucks and Wal-Mart before deciding they should wrap up their day. It was roughly about 6:37 when they were on their way home. When they finally got home, Karina offered to make dinner. "Alright! Dinner should be ready in about 5 minutes. I'm making pasta." "Yay! I love pasta. Thanks again Karina for cooking!" Aria said hungrily and happily. The girls always loved when Karina cooked.

"So I just wanted to let you guys know that tomorrow, I'll be awake by maybe 6:30 and I'll just be heading to the coffee shop. Don't worry I know your guy's usual order and I'll buy you guys some too. I just wanted to go work on my laptop for a while." Karina explained. Aria always got Caramel Frappuccino. Laura always got mocha. And Karina always got regular coffee. "Thanks, but you don't have to." Laura said. "It's no trouble really." Karina said. "Aww, thanks!" Aria said. "Oh, that reminds me! I'm also leaving around that time. I'm going to walk towards the mall. I'm meeting my sister there." Laura said excitedly. "Aww, that's nice. Will you please tell her I said Hi?" Aria asked. "Sure!" After the delicious dinner they ate, they all went to bed. Laura is meeting her sister. Karina is going to the cafe. Aria is staying home. What could possibly go wrong?
