"Liam, Gabriella,... You know it's been three years since daddy left us... And mommy wants to move on. I've been thinking about it for some time now, and.... "

"It's uncle Robert right? Guess my suspicions were right " Liam cut Lara off.

"Liam my child... death is inevitable, your father died... It's not like we are divorced. He won't be coming back again" Lara said.

"Oh yes... Sometimes I wonder if you really loved daddy when he was alive" Liam replied and left the house immediately.

"I can't believe this" Gabriella said and went to her room.

Liam stood in a park far from home still thinking about what his mom has said. He felt anger rising up inside him and the next minute, he was punching and kicking a tree, when he stopped, blood was dripping down from his knuckles but he careless.

"Liam?" He heard someone called his name and the moment his head snapped to where the voice came from and he freezed. What is she doing here?

"C... Cassandra... What are you doing here?" He asked.

"Just out to take a walk, my house is not far from here. What are you doing here?" Cassandra replied.

"I... Uhmmmm I just came around to take a break. I've been studying for hours" Liam said.

"But your house should be far from here, I mean you can just be somewhere close to home" Cassandra said.

"Well... Yes, I'm also running away from Gabriella's troubles" he replied and Cassandra laughed.

"How about taking a walk together?" Liam asked.

"Uhmmmm... Ok" Cassandra said and they both start walking around the park and talking.

"Can I hold your hand?" Liam asked and Cassandra was surprised

"Ok..." Was all she could say. And then he held her hand making her feel a little bit shy. When Cassandra looked at their hands she frowned.

"Your knuckles... Are injured" she said.

"Oh... That, I... Had an accident on my way here. It's nothing serious, I will treat it when I get home" Liam replied.

"Ok... But be careful next time" Cassandra said.

"Sure I will" Liam replied and they continued walking around.

"I think I should go home" Cassandra said after a while.

"Ok... Let me see you off then" Liam said putting on a straight face, he wished she will just stay with him.

"And You should also go home... It's late and it's dangerous" Cassandra said looking serious.

"Ok ma..." Liam said playfully while laughing.

"Hey, stop laughing. I'm not joking" Cassandra said and Liam cleared his throat suppressing his laugh. At the moment, Liam thought she looked so cute. 'You look adorable when nagging at someone' Liam said inwardly and he chuckled.

"Alright.... Let's go. I have to see you off first before someone will kidnap you." Liam said playfully and Cassandra chuckled.

As they were almost at Cassandra's house, a bike passed beside Cassandra with a high speed and she almost fall but Liam held her hand and pulled her. Things happened so fast that all she knew was a bike passed by and the next moment Liam was hugging her.

"Are You ok?" He asked, and Cassandra snapped out of her dazed state and she nodded.

"I'm home already... You also have to go" she said.

"Ok... Good night" Liam said.

"Good night" Cassandra replied with a slight smile and then she left.

Liam stood there looking at her till she stepped into a house and then he left and start heading home.
