Chapter 58

Mr. Leonard went in and finally found Jane. She was asleep.

She also looked very weak and tired.

He moved over to carry but alot of guards rushed in to stop him.

"As expected..." Mr Leonard said with a wicked smirk.

Liam and James rushed immediately after noticing that something was wrong.

Mr. Leonard gave them a signal and they started to fight. As the fought, Mr. Leonard was making sure that no one is close to Jane. He was also hoping that David would come in at that moment.

The guards surrounded Mr. Leonard and the two boys ready to launch at them.

"Liam... Remember all the combat skills I thought you, use them. And we have to make sure to protect James as well" Mr. Leonard said after noticing that James is not well trained when it comes to combat but he is a good fighter and has been a huge help so far.

Instead of waiting for the guards to come at them first, Mr. Leonard and Liam launched at them. It was so sudden that the guards were confused.

David came out expecting to see that they have succeeded but a fight welcomed him instead.

He stood still for a while thinking of what to do.

'I think I should sneak through and carry Jane first' he said inwardly.

He went over to where she was with no one noticing. Thankfully, the place was still dark.

"Hey, don't be scared. It David" he whispered to her ears before carrying her out. He made sure they were far away before keeping her under a tree.

"Stay here, I will be right back." He said and ran back to help the others. Immediately he got there, he switched on the light in the house before coming to help.

Mr. Leonard Liam and James had already beat up most of the guards and only five we're remaining.

James went on and gave a helping hand and soon, they were done.

"Jane...." Liam uttered when he noticed the girl is no longer there.

"Don't worry, I took her out." David replied.

"Let's leave" Mr. Leonard said and they all head for the door.

Before they would step out, someone hit Liam on the head so hard with a bottle.

Using the broken bottle, he moved to stab him but Mr. Leonard used a rod and hit him on the head making him unconscious.

"Are You ok?" David asked.

"Don't worry, I will be fine" Liam replied with a reassuring smile. He was also happy that his friend is no longer mad at him.

They went out and David carried Jane before they hopped into the car.

Cassandra was so restless as wait for Jane's return.

"Cassandra, stop pacing. Jane will be back" Gabriella said.

"Gabriella, how do you expect me to be calm?" Cassandra asked.

At that moment, Mr. Leonard's car halted.

"Jane...! " Cassandra exclaimed the moment David stepped out with Jane in his arms.

"What happened" Cassandra asked when she noticed Jane was unconscious.

"She is just weak. The doctor said she has stayed for days without eating" David replied.

"She will be fine...." James added.

"I will get her something to eat" David said.

"Gabriella, take David to a room where he can lay Jane" Mr. Leonard said.

"Yes uncle" Gabrielle replied and did as she was instructed.

Cassandra wanted to follow but she halted at the realization that Liam was not with them. She turned around and saw Mr. Leonard and James helping Liam out of the car. Blood was dripping down from his jet black hair.

Cassandra ran over to him immediately.

"Liam, what happened to you?" She asked.

Some minutes ago, Liam refused to get treated in the hospital. He wanted Cassandra to do it for him, it was his little plan of getting her back.
