Chapter 32

In the morning, everyone was getting ready to go to the hospital when someone knocked on the door.

"David?" Cassandra said when she opened the door.

"Where is Liam?" David asked immediately.

"Preparing to take him to the hospital" Cassandra replied.

"Huh... Thank God..." David sighed in relief.

"What?" Cassandra was confused.

"Please listen to me... Don't take him to the hospital... It's not safe" David said.

"Come in first" Cassandra said.

"Mom... Dad..." Cassandra called and in no time her parents were out.

"Good morning" David greeted.

"Morning dear" Cassandra's parents replied.

"mom, dad, David has something to say" Cassandra said.

"sit" Mr. Vincent said pointing at a chair for David.

"Go on..." Amelia said once they all sat down.

"I think it will be safer for Liam to receive treatment here" David said.

"Why? The hospital is better" Amelia replied.

"Yesterday's evening I over heard two people talking about eliminating Liam. A man wearing black cardigan with hood was to do the job. I tried calling Liam but he was not reachable until the incident happened." David explained.

"in that case, I think I will just get the necessary things needed and treat him here" Amelia said thoughtfully.

"And... We have to keep his whereabout a secret" Mr. Vincent added.

After discussing and making certain plans for some minutes, Amelia went to get the necessary things while Cassandra David told Gabriella and James the plan. Gabriella, James and David went home to get ready to execute their plan while Cassandra stayed with Liam.

Liam was still unconscious for hours, this made Cassandra restless. She feels a little bit of relief each time his fingers twitch. She kept staring at him and after a while tears was streaming down from her eyes. She cried for some hours.

"Liam... Please wake up..." She said before she finally drift into the sleeping world. Her body really need some rest.... She has been crying all night and deprived herself of sleep. After Cassandra fell asleep for a while, Liam finally opened his eyes. He tried sitting up but it was like something was weighing him down. He looked around and noticed he was in an unfamiliar place. 'Where could this be?....' He asked inwardly and looked at his right hand, Cassandra was there holding on to his hand and seemed to be in a deep sleep, it also looks like she has been crying for a while. It was obvious she has been crying. After looking at her for a while, Liam finally recalled what happened the previous night.

"You stubborn goose..." Liam said with a playful smile on his face as he caress her face with his left hand. liam found her sleeping face very cute that he couldn't stop smiling and staring at it. 'Guess I should take a picture of this' he said inwardly. But he couldn't find his phone. Could it be that she kept it for him... Or he lost it last night? he just have to wait till she wakes up . After some minutes, Cassandra twitched a little and open her eyes. When she realized Liam was awake she was overwhelmed.

"Liam... Thank God..." Was all she managed to say. She so excited that she pecked him on his lips. Realizing what she just did, she froze for a few seconds and then blushed. Unable to stand the embarrassment, she ran out of the room.

"He... Is... Awake dad..." Cassandra said sheepishly. Mr. Vincent frowned at his daughter's awkward behavior and was about to speak but Cassandra ran away.

"What a daughter...." Mr. Vincent said shaking his head and then went in to see Liam.

"Good morning sir..." Liam greeted as soon as he noticed Mr. Vincent's presence.

"Morning.... How are you feeling?" Mr. Vincent asked with a concerned gaze.

"It hurts... But I will be fine" Liam replied with a reassuring smile.

"I will like to ask some questions if you don't mind" Mr. Vincent said.

"You are free to" Liam replied.
