Chapter 72: Waking Up At A Hotel

The next morning.

Olivia groaned in pain as she clutched her aching head with her hand. She slowly opened her eyes but then had to close it again because of the light.

At first, she hadn't noticed but as she began to wake up, she looked around the unfamiliar room in confusion.

'How did I end up here? Damn, my head hurts. I shouldn't have drank so much. I better call the hospital and let them know I'm not coming. Where's my phone?' When Olivia ruffled through the sheets to look for her phone, her hand landed on something unexpected.

Feeling the warmth of some one, Olivia turned her head but was shocked to see a man actually sleeping beside her.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhh." She had finally lost it.

"What? What? What's wrong? Woah!" Daniel abruptly woke up, alarmed by her scream and ended up falling from the bed.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?" Olivia shouted.

"I CAN ASK YOU THE SAME THING? HOW DO I KNOW YOU DIDNT DO ANYTHING TO ME?" Daniel countered hugging his body.

When she heard those words, Olivia immediately looked under the blanket and realized that she was not wearing anything under.

"This. Cannot. Be. Happening." Olivia cried before grabbing the entire blanket and wrapping it around, before stepping out of the bed and she quickly dashed into the bathroom.

"Did something really happen between us last night?" Daniel furrowed his eyebrows in deep thought.

'Either way, if something did happen I should be responsible for her.' He mused after considering all the possibilities.

Inside the bathroom.

Splashing some water over her face, Olivia took a few deep breaths to calm herself.

"It's okay. It just happened once. Besides, we don't even know if anything even happened, right?" Olivia smiled at the possibility, but it immediately dissipated.

"Why are you fooling yourself? Clearly, something big happened last night. And why out of all men, did it have to be him?" Olivia sobbed.

Picking up her disheveled clothes from the floor, Olivia quickly got ready and told herself, "This was nothing more than a one night stand. Yes! That's it. Besides knowing the kind of playboy he is, he definitely won't care."

Sighing once again, she left the bathroom.

As soon as he heard the door open, Daniel looked up as she watched Olivia step out of the bathroom.

Clearing his throat, he said, "I—"

"Listen here. I don't care what happened last night, but just to let you know here we are both adults, so let's just treat this as a one night stand and move on." She said as she walked towards the bedside table to grab her purse.

Although she sounded quite nonchalant about it, she was internally panicking with every step.

'Okay, that wasn't that bad. Good job Olivia, stay strong.'

Daniel was left dumbfounded. 'She seriously doesn't care? Fine. If she doesn't then why should I?'

Picking up her purse and phone, Olivia walked out the door and left the room.

"Fine. Just don't come back crying to me, later on."Daniel scoffed before slumping back into the bed.

"Stupid woman. Hmph."
