A lord of Mysteries wandering with a Sword

At the end of the Lord of Mysteries' life of many years of watching the world die out, it had finally ended and so he sought a different end to his own powers. He would leave it to chance. For another soul he would see the end of his life ended in a more, horrific fashion, to most. A final destination-esk ending one would even say. as his soul wandered its way a flash of light and he is no longer aware of where his soul is moving shifting colors and bright streaks of light and he finds himself in front of a fiery blaze. A new story for one who was to become the wrought iron hero, and a new beginning for the current one. —————————////—————————— planned worlds include but not in any order; Tamriel: oblivion and skyrim (different visits) JJK Universe all artwork is owned by their respective owners and all characters from their various franchises are owned by their respective companies. Journal Entry #1 (we timeskiping)

{4th E year 1}

Our group eventually settled down in the aftermath of the Graymarch. With my feat of Ritual Magicka I progressed once more. Turns out introducing a completely new form of magic does that. Thus I became a Scribe in the Apprentice pathway.

Since I became a scribe, I decided to write down my experiences going forward. To brag a little, the "spell" I used was two parts. While the runes themselves used didn't hold enough meaning to enact a contract with any deity like figure BUT they could become a bridge. Thus using a combination of them I made that "Bridge" to connect with the deity in question. They were like the ritual materials to appease a deity during the rituals.

Then came the second part. Invoking a deity via an honorific name to establish a contract. The contract itself could be anything such as asking for an attack like I did.

The spell worked on Throgor because as he stood, while "Mortal", he was Sheogorath in name. With no actual Dedric Prince Sheogorath, this would target him instead. Thus allowing Throgor to "BE" Sheogorath for a limited time.

This came with the side effects in the aftermath. Throgor is Sheogorath now, as such the forcible way he embodied him sped up his transformation. With only a week having gone by he kept the golden serpent like eyes permanently. That was only the outside characteristics.

Such being the case we left the Shivering Isles. Throgor sought to see the Wind Strider Clan once more before he returned to his throne.

I also got to meet my mother once she finished her business with Jyggalag. Turns out she wasn't the only one to gang up on him as Azura also got her licks in. Nevertheless Jyggalag moved to the far reaches of Oblivion. His own little corner where he produced only a small realm for himself, and his Librarian.

Of course when we left the Shivering Isles, we were greeted to an announcement from the Imperial Council of the official turn of the Era and the commencement of the 4th Era.

Reopening our shop allowed us to unwind as I became used to my new abilities. The Scribe sequence granted me the powers of "I came, I saw, I record." With a book to act as the receptacle of the "Recorded" spells. Thus I now kept a master level spell at the ready, thanks to granny.

Even if It was weaker than the original It was still an incredible spell to have. Mara's Embrace was it's name. The spell targeted allies within a 30ft radius (9 meters) with a strong and continuous burst of healing. This healing became a regen spell after the targets are healed to full or the timed aspect of the spell ended.

In other news we sold the rest of the arms and armor in the shop in preparation for our journeys. Plural because Shirou decided after hearing of potential events across the continent, he decided to journey to Hammerfell.

He decided to go there in search of the relics of the Sword Singers of old and learn more about the art. As such he would first need something from a chatterbox apprentice.

Thus was something to ultimately delay our respective departures. Throgor was kind enough to help by giving us "Keys" to the Shivering Isles. They would act as a point in space to allow the creation of portals. Also approved by Akatosh no less.

Just before the turn of the year Nannette finished her work. Through a ritual designed by myself and Relmyna we were able to "Change" Shirou's state of being just Magicka given form, into a ball. This ball just so happened to be the entire collection of his being and was equally similar to how a Dedra would come to be.

Thus Throgor stepped up to act as the binder for our crazy ritual. Using the Staff of Sheogorath and the connection to the realm. Along with his own input as Sheogorath. The final step was completed. Shirou, needed to recover for awhile after though.

Turns out being spaghettified then rolled into a ball was not a great feeling. Still he came out alright for such a dangerous procedure. With that he no longer needed to rely on me for Magicka. He now stood as a form of independent Dedra if you will.

With his true freedom he ended up smiling more and celebrating with all of us in his realm. Granny made him make a residence in the place, so he chose to recreate the Emiya residence. It stood by the river of Magicka in his realm.

With the success of the procedure we were set to move out. Throgor was to head to Skyrim for his final journey as a mortal. Myself and Granny were heading to Morrowind.

It was decided since in a few years the disappearance of Vivec would occur so it became a destination for the beginning of our journey.

{4th Era Year 2}

Morrowind was beautiful. We found ourselves in Vvardenfell after leaving Cyrodil. Our journey wasn't the smoothest due to the aftermath of the Oblivion Crisis. But we managed. Taking a cart when able or by horse for some parts of the stretch. The final Leg by boat.

Will one hundred percent say, ridding a horse for days on end sucks. Muscles you never thought existed would be sore and Magicka spells only treated so much of it.

Never mind that though, our journey soon brought us to The City of Vivec. Our first stop here in Morrowind. With Granny's qualifications as a Master Enchanter and an Honorary member of House Telvani we were allowed access into the city.

The culture of the Dunmer people was astoundingly different from most of Cyrodil. Our journey through the countryside had enlightened me of that. But to see the difference first hand was amazing.

Speaking with the various castes allowed me to see both the good and the bad of such a society though. The Houses controlled a large portion of everything. I mean Everything, from the sewer rats to the nobles of their houses.

In this environment I kept my training up. Diving into my magic studies and even competing with some of the local mages. These exchanges really rounded out my experiences with combat as I was forbidden from using close quarters by Granny.

Towards the middle of the year I was granted an audience one day out of the blue. A Dunmer Honor guard came to our temporary residence to invite me specifically to the only living god remaining.

Vivec's Palace stood as a beacon in the city, Just as did the Meteor that rested above the city. A "Prank" from Sheogorath from millennia ago. A sword of Damocles that hung over the city.

Rising the steps of the architecture reminiscent of Mayan temples I answered the invitation. Once I had entered the final chamber I saw the Mer himself.

A figure who radiated his duality and divinity. Living, yet a God. Awake, Yet Dreaming. I had so many questions for this enigmatic figure of the Dunmer people. But my excitement was fading fast. My unique position of not quite a deity but holding the authorities of one allowed me to feel what others would not.

He was fading, and It was his own choice.

In the end I could only ask one burning question that remained, "Why?"

His eyes opened upon hearing my voice in the chamber. There were no others to hear the words he spoke besides me. With eyes vacant and hollow he said, "They will soon cease to love me."

Light flickered in the hollow eyes as they focused on me. "Would you care for those who do not abide by their pacts?"

Only for the light to fade once more as he continued, "They no longer need me, I keep them from their Thrones."

I closed my eyes as I gave thought to his words. Progress, that's what it would all boil down to. The Dunmer people only looked to Vivec as a HE. A god of which they worshiped. When all he wants is for them to progress. To follow in his footsteps. To achieve CHIM.

CHIM is the process and result of elevating one's existence. A few examples of individuals who have achieved this would be Vivec himself and Tiber Septim or Talos as he is now known as. Though many Dragon Break Shenanigans were involved.

"You believe you hinder your people?" I gave voice to my thoughts.

"I do not Believe, I have seen. I have Heard. I know."

The layering of his voice echoed in the chamber. His two sides in agreement of the statement.

Summoning Arrodes I placed it on my head. The Shadowy jacket lengthened into a trench coat that fit my small stature. Then I introduced myself, Formally.

"Azarius, Lord of Mysteries" My right hand placed above my heart as I inclined my head to him.

Vivec floated crossed legged in the air as he put more presence into the "Now".

"Well met Mysteries. You have done many deeds in such a short time here."

"Where will you go when you leave?" I asked him. My thoughts to the impending catastrophe his departure causes.

"You think in mortal terms.... Mysteries, I do not leave, I am. Thus I will be, not." he said.

Closing my eyes and processing them I figured out what he meant. He would give up the Living form of Vivec. But his Dreaming form. That of the God Vivec would carry on.

Without opening my eyes I asked, "And why do you invite me."

I could feel faint amusement from part of the existence in front of me. As well as anger for the Audacity.

"I summoned you to speak!, As one who has chosen a different path, I would hear your thoughts. As One who has seen beyond the veil of the Void, I summoned you."

feeling as Vivec was shifting back and forth, his presence shifting with his tone of voice. I spoke to him, "There isn't much beyond it, just as there is everything. You just have to see it for yourself."

He grew silent for a time. Closing his eyes and contemplating. Dreaming as he called it in his manuscripts.

"Understood, leave us."

And so I was cast out. One moment I was in front of him, the next... I was at the foot of his temple. My gaze went to the sky where the meteor was hanging in the sky. My view encompassed the entirety of the city from my vantage point.

Shadows gathered behind me as I looked on.

"Such things will come to pass my son. There is naught you can accomplish here with the meddling of the three. Their influence grows as Vivec's wanes. Such is the fate cursed upon the Chimer."

My fist gripped hard as she embraced me. I wanted to scream of the injustice that the MILLIONS would face. With the fall of that rock, the red mountain would erupt. Then all of the continent would face the repercussions.

Holding me she said one word and then I truly understood why Vivec would stand by.

"Change"

Following our time in The city of Vivec we moved to the Telvanni Peninsula. There we decided to meet My master's master, or in other words my grandmaster.

But words could not allow me to understate just how crazy life could be.

My grandmaster was none other than a centuries old man named-

"Master Neloth, its always unpleasant to see you." Granny Viola was right into her snark as we ascended the Telvanni tower. Only Grandmaster was right there with her.

"Ahh Little Viola! Almost couldn't recognize you with all of those wrinkles. Still playing with that stick you love so much?" Grandmaster Neloth wasn't even looking at us as he payed more attention to his enchantment table.

"Better than you enticing young acolytes into being test subjects." She said as she came up to him. With a wave the enchantment was sealed into the dagger that rested on the table.

"So what can you do for me apprentice?" he said turning to Granny Viola. I regulated myself to looking around in the meantime as they spoke.

"As much as our verbal debates are enticing... my old age actually matters you old bastard. As such I've brought my apprentice along. Thought it would be a good Idea for you to meet him."

With attention brought to me I turned to look their way. With a standard bow I said, "Greetings Master Neloth."

"Oh, and what do we have here. You say he is your apprentice but I've only seen so far he is a waste."

Cocking an eyebrow at him I turned to Granny Viola with a look that just asked, is he serious?

"The old Codger couldn't even make himself a decent plate of food. You expect him to be able to sense everything about you, Especially with that shroud."

Master Neloth just sent a questioning look her way before he was forced to look my way.

With releasing the shroud's cover I was now revealed to his senses. Feeling a tad smug as Granny Viola was wearing one too I introduced myself to the VERY old Elf. Shadows danced and Fog rolled from my feet. The hat appearing on my head without even prodding.

"Azarius Noct Emiya, Lord Of Mysteries and Son Of Nocturnal."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Master Neloth Is very old my friends,

So we must build a retirement fund for him!

To the mines! For the Stones!

AN:// So found out in my research that Neloth is a recurring character throughout the Elderscrolls games. First featured in Morrowind then Skyrim Dragonborn DLC. Saw fit that he would be the enchanter who would be crazy enough to take a Nord Apprentice.

Vivec was a hard character to really pin down. Lore wise he is a very complex subject alone without the events of the Morrowind game. (Betrayal of the Nerevar and subsequent forcing of becoming a god through the heart of Lorkan, Fun Stuff.) Thus at the end of his "Living" existence I thought to portray him as he is. Plus it is a conversation of Two "Equal" individuals in this case. Even if Azarius isn't nearly as strong.

Have fun, Stay safe!

Don't end up on a police report!
