A Loner Inside The Novel

A boy. Broken after all he has been through. His life has become as miserable as it can ever be. His only wish is to disappear from this world. There is nothing left that can bind him to this world anymore. Not his family, friends or anyone else. Nonetheless, his hollow eyes hold a tiny bit of hope, a little expectancy from this life... Or rather from the death. A new person; A free-spirited person; A loner inside a novel who promises himself not to form any bonds with others. He thought of relationships as nausea, which would eventually restrict his freedom again, crushing the-already-broken state of him completely. At least, that's what he thought... ======================================== Hello everyone! This is my first novel. So, your feedbacks are really precious to me. ====================

Comprehending the logic behind magic, I moved on to my other stats.

My charm was A+, which was expected considering I was mesmerized by the reflection of my on the mirror not too long ago. To be honest, I normally wouldn't have minded having such a pleasing facial features. In fact, even the protagonists of the novel had (S)-rank charm. But I was afraid that my charm would draw unnecessary attention towards me, which I really didn't want.

I didn't want to get attention from others. I just wanted to live my school life without meddling with others. Since an extra like me may alter the plot of the story if I was ever to interact with other characters. That's why my charm was dangerous. If I alter the plot, my biggest advantage in surviving in this world would vanish.

'Whatever...'

I examined the elements I had. Fire and Lighting, so I have affinity with only two elements. There are a total of 7 elements. These are Earth, Wind, Water, Fire, Lighting, Light, and finally Dark. The protagonist has 4 attributes: Earth, Wind, Fire, Light.

An 'average' person would often have 1 or 2 attributes, 3 at most, which was a rare occurrence. I had only 2 but I can gain extra attributes by doing some kind of ritual. But I needed to increase my rank to complete the ritual without a painful death.

My profession was Assassin which was quite an uncommon one. There were only a few characters whose profession was Assassin in the novel. The protagonist was a Swordsman, as it was written on the title of the novel: 'Rise of The Greatest Swordsman'.

'I will have to find a martial art that is compatible with my profession.'

Martial arts were rated from G to S just like the rating of the ranks. The (S)-rank martial arts were very precious and nearly impossible to obtain. Only a few selected possesses one. The protagonist being one of them.

"Though, he doesn't have a (S)-rank martial art at his disposal at the moment. He will have found one around the time when this academic year will be coming to an end."

There was only one (S)-rank martial art for the assassins that was mentioned in the novel. But the problem was that this martial art was supposed to belong to the first villain of the novel, Ralph Howard. I can snatch the martial art before the villain even comes to know the existence of it, but this will lead the villain to be weaker, eventually changing the future in some way or another.

As I said, I didn't want to interfere with the plot because then I would lose my advantages. Knowing the future was not something I would be willing to lose so easily.

'But if I don't get stronger enough to protect myself when the Demon King descends to the world, It won't matter if I know the future or not.'

I got up from the bed with a resolute look in my eyes. I decided to take everything while I still can.

"Alright! I have seven days to find and get the martial art. It will be a long jour-"

As I was preparing to head out, I caught a glimpse of the moon in the sky through the window. I Realized I had wasted a lot of time experimenting.

"Change of plans! I will just sleep and depart for the martial art tomorrow."

I once again threw myself into the soft bed. My eyelids slowly closed and the darkness covered my sight. It reminded me of the unbearable pain I went through in that pitch-black void. But my exhaustion suppressed my fear and my consciousness slipped away.

The government has the highest authority in the whole human domain. It is responsible with maintaining the order and safety of humanity. What makes the government this strong is the people inside it. Many (S)-Rank individuals works in the government. They called themselves as...

'The Black Salamanders'

Right now I was at one of train stations in the capital, which was built by the government. It was the same as public transportation from my past life. Fortunately, public transportation was free for those who attended to Light Academy.

When I searched my room, I only found 6,000 BS. BS was the currently used currency throughout the human domain. I didn't have much money. In fact, I was very poor, maybe the poorest in the entire academy. I have a few ideas in my mind to make money, but it was for another time.

What pulled me out of my thoughts was the loud sound of a warning of the incoming train. The train stopped smoothly without a single sound. This kind of high technology was only possible thanks to the mana.

I entered to the train. Most of the seats were empty. I sat at the corner and took out a pen and a note book. In case I would forget some future events, I decided to write down while my memories were still fresh.

After some time I arrived at my destination. The door of the train opened without a sound. As soon as I walked out of the train I was greeted by a literal slum. The station wasn't maintained at all. The streets were covered with mud and water ponds. The houses made of stone and wood were on the verge of collapsing.

'This is the fate of those who have no talent or who can't awaken.'

There was only one word that could be said.

"Cruel..."

FYI, the Light Academy is in the capital.

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
