First Class

--Lucian POV--

I take a seat in the chair I chose earlier and start to look around the room. The walls are made of a dull grey metal, giving the room an industrial feel. There are no windows except for a large glass panel on one side of the room, providing a view of the surrounding landscape. The glass is tinted, presumably to prevent outsiders from seeing inside the room.

The chairs and tables are arranged in a standard classroom setup, with four rows of five chairs each. The seats are made of black leather and have a small built-in desk attached to the side. The tables are made of the same grey metal as the walls and are sturdy enough to hold a laptop and a few textbooks.

I chose the third row, fourth column from the back, as I prefer to be able to see everything that's going on in the room. I glance around and estimate that there are around 40 students in total in this course.

Lucian observed the blackboard at the front of the room, noticing that it was a high-quality slate with no signs of wear and tear.

Above it, there was a flat-screen television which could be used for presentations or multimedia activities. He then looked up and saw that the air conditioning units were hidden behind sleek metal grills, which were neatly incorporated into the ceiling.

The cool air and soft hum of the air conditioning made him feel comfortable, but it also gave him the impression that the school had invested a lot of money in providing a comfortable learning environment for its students.

Overall, the room had an air of luxury and sophistication, making Lucian feel grateful for the opportunity to be there.

I was staring blankly at the board when I heard someone approaching me. I turned to see a guy with green hair and hazel eyes, he looked familiar.

"Hey there, my name's Fujimoto Shun. You can call me Shun," he said with a friendly smile.

I tried to recall where I have seen him before and then it dawned on me.

"Oh, you're the guy I bumped into earlier. I'm really sorry about that," I said apologetically.

Shun chuckled and waved his hand dismissively. "No worries, man. I didn't even feel it," he said.

"So, you're new here, right? What's your name?"

"Yeah, my name's Lucian. I'm new here in the city," I replied, feeling a bit more at ease with his friendly demeanor.

"Awesome, welcome to the club!" Shun exclaimed, giving me a pat on the back. "If you need anything, just let me know. I'll help you show around if you want."

I smiled gratefully at his offer. "Thanks, I appreciate that."

Shun took the seat next to mine and we chatted a bit more about the school and the course we're taking. It was nice to have someone to talk to, and I felt a bit less lonely in this new environment.

*Ding-dong!*

The sound of the bell echoed in the classroom, making everyone stop whatever they were doing and the other students were also confused.

*Creak!*

The door swung open, revealing a dimly lit room and a faint silhouette in the distance.

A man walked in, wearing a blue jacket and white polo shirt. He looked serious and had glasses on his face.

He then walk to the center of the classroom, in front of the teacher's table. When he reaches the center, he introduces himself with a cold, intimidating tone.

"My name is Tatsuo Lee. And from this day forward, I will make sure that every single one of you will regret being born without powers. You're nothing but insects to me. And I will crush you all, one by one."

As I looked around the classroom, I saw that everyone had frozen in their seats, including myself.

The silence in the room was deafening, as if the air had been sucked out of it. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest and my palms getting sweaty.

The look on our professor's face was one of pure seriousness, and his words had sent chills down my spine.

I couldn't help but think about what he had meant by those words.

I had never felt so intimidated in a classroom before.

I had thought that it would be challenging, but this was something else entirely.

Was he serious about putting us through hell?

What kind of course was this?
