--Lucian POV--
As I stood outside the office door of Samantha, I couldn't help but feel lost.
The sound of birds chirping and the warmth of the afternoon sun was a stark contrast to the confusion I felt inside.
I glanced down at my feet, unsure of what to do next.
After a few moments of silence, Jason suddenly smirked and said, "You're lucky the teacher was there to save your butt earlier."
I rolled my eyes at him. "Yeah, lucky me."
"I attacked you because I smell danger or something sinister from you," he explained seriously.
I raised my eyebrows in disbelief. "You're joking, right? What could possibly be sinister about me?"
"I don't know," Jason shrugged. "It's just a feeling I get sometimes. Like a sixth sense or something."
I sighed, feeling annoyed. "Well, I assure you, there's nothing sinister about me. Maybe next time, try talking to me before you decide to attack."
I took a deep breath and looked at him straight in the eye. "Listen man, I know you think I'm some sort of bad guy or something, but I'm telling you the truth.
"I don't have any special powers or abilities. I'm just a regular guy trying to make my way in this world."
he raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced.
"Come on Lucian, don't play dumb with me. I can smell the power emanating from you.."
I calmly said.
"I swear to you, I don't know what you're talking about. Maybe you're just sensing something else. But I can tell you this - I don't care about powers or abilities. I don't give a fuck about any of that. All I care about is living my life and doing what I think is right."
Jason looked at him skeptically for a moment, then sighed. "Alright man, I'll take your word for it but--
buzz-buzz-buzz
I heard a ringing sound coming from Jason's pocket. He quickly fished out his phone and answered the call.
I couldn't help but feel relieved that our conversation was interrupted by his ringing phone. I couldn't bear the thought of arguing with Jason any longer.
Jason answered the phone and from the way he was talking, I could tell it was someone important.
I suddenly decided to walk away and give Jason some privacy.
As I walked, I couldn't help but think about the strange encounter with Jason.
I wondered why Jason thought that I was dangerous and sinister.
Lost in thought, I didn't realize I had walked so far until I looked up and saw that I was outside of my apartment.
I walked towards my apartment building, feeling a bit tired .
As I approached the entrance, I suddenly realized that I had forgotten to lock the door when I left earlier.
I cursed under my breath and quickly pulled out my keys to open the door.
As I step inside my apartment, I can't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me as I survey my surroundings.
The aftermath of today's earthquake left me with a nagging worry that something might have been damaged or broken in my home.
However, as I look around, I'm relieved to see that everything seems to be in its rightful place.
The furniture is intact, the walls are unscathed, and my belongings are still where I left them. I let out a sigh of relief that I don't have to deal with any more troubles today.
As I sat down in my comfortable armchair, I reached for the remote control and turned on the television.
I sat there in front of the television, my eyes glued to the screen as the female anchor started to deliver the news. "Today's news," she began, "an earthquake suddenly hit the City of Nova Central, but thankfully the impact was not strong. As of now, only a few citizens have been reported injured."
I let out a sigh of relief. At least, the damage wasn't that severe.
The anchor continued, "We're fortunate that no casualties have been reported yet, and the rescue teams are already on site to assist those who are in need.
Let's all hope and pray for the safety of our fellow citizens."
I nodded in agreement, silently praying for the safety of those affected by the earthquake. The anchor then bid farewell to the viewers, "And that's all for today's news. I'm Sunny, and have a good day everyone."
I turned off the television and sat there for a while, contemplating the events of the day. It was definitely an experience that I wouldn't forget anytime soon.
I remember when I first I let out a deep sigh as I looked around my small apartment. It was far from perfect, but it was all I could afford.
"Well, at least nothing bad happened to my apartment today," I said to myself.
"This place looks like it's about to fall apart, but I don't really have a choice. It's the cheapest one I could find in Nova Central City."
I walked over to the window and looked outside. The city was bustling with activity, and I couldn't help but feel a twinge of envy for those who could afford to live in the more upscale parts of town. "Well this city is one of the most advanced in the country," I muttered to myself.
As I spoke to myself, I couldn't help but feel a sense of loneliness wash over me. It wasn't easy being a student and having to support myself at the same time. But I had no other choice.
"I'll just have to make it work," I said to myself, trying to sound optimistic. "I've come this far, and I won't let anything stop me from achieving my dreams."
When I arrived in this city, it was my dream to attend the prestigious school located here. I worked hard to earn a scholarship, and thankfully, I was able to make my dream a reality.
However, the scholarship only covers my tuition fees, and I still need to find a part-time job to sustain my daily needs.
I have no family to rely on, so I have to work hard to make ends meet.
It's not easy being a student and working at the same time, but I know that it's necessary. I have to make sacrifices and manage my time wisely.
I have to prioritize my studies, but I also have to work hard to earn money. It's a tough road, but I'm determined to make it work.
I turned away from the window and walked over to my desk. It was cluttered with papers and books, but I didn't have the energy to tidy it up. Instead, I turned on my computer and began searching for part-time job openings.
It was a long shot, but I had to try. As I scrolled through the job listings, I couldn't help but feel discouraged. Most of the jobs required experience or skills that I didn't have.
I let out a frustrated sigh and leaned back in my chair. "This isn't going to be easy," I said to myself. "But I have to keep trying. I can't give up now."

Beep-Beep-Beep
I groggily opened my eyes, feeling a bit disoriented and sluggish from the restless sleep.
My hand blindly searched for the source of the noise and finally found it, hitting the snooze button to silence the blaring alarm.
As I lay in bed, trying to shake off the sleepiness, my mind began to race with thoughts of the day ahead. I had classes to attend and I needed to start looking for a part-time job to support myself.
Feeling overwhelmed, I let out a deep sigh and dragged myself out of bed.
I stumbled towards the bathroom and splashed cold water on my face, hoping to wake myself up
. Looking at my reflection in the mirror, I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread at the challenges that lay ahead and look at myself, I saw a young man with messy blonde hair and piercing blue eyes staring back at me.
My hair was sticking out in every direction, as if I had just rolled out of bed (which, to be fair, I had).
My complexion was fair and unblemished, and my features were sharp and angular. I could see a hint of stubble on my chin, which I resolved to shave off before leaving for the day.
Overall, I looked like any other college student trying to navigate the ups and downs of life. But as I studied my reflection, I couldn't help but wonder what the day had in store for me.
But I knew I couldn't let my worries consume me. With a determined mindset, I began to get ready for the day ahead. I put on my school uniform and grabbed my bag, making sure I had all the necessary materials for my classes.
As I made my way out of the apartment, I couldn't help but notice the subtle changes in the city after yesterday's earthquake.
The roads seemed a bit more congested and there were more people out and about, perhaps trying to assess the damage to the city.
Despite the chaos around me, I kept moving forward, taking small steps towards my goals. I was grateful for the opportunities I had been given, even if they came with their own set of challenges. And with that, I set off towards the school, ready to face whatever the day had in store for me.
As I stepped out of the apartment building and headed towards the parking area, my heart sank when I realized my bike wasn't there.
Panic set in as I frantically searched the area, hoping that I just parked it somewhere else. But as reality set in, I knew I had forgotten it at school.
"How could I be so stupid?" I muttered to myself as I mentally calculated the time and effort it would take to retrieve it.
