Mate vs Soulmate

Ivan entered the mansion's spacious restroom. His reflection showed in the big mirrored walls. He walked towards the sleek shiny sink and moved his hands further. The tap automatically started flowing with the water. Ivan filled his palms with it and splashed the water on his face, at the same moment the past flashed in front of his eyes where he found Augustus who appeared in medieval attire. Every time he splashes water on his face, his vision of the past gets clearer until he faces himself in the embrace of the former. Ivan snapped open his eyes, gasping for breath, The water droplets kept dripping from his pale face. He looked stunned. Once again the past flashes have smacked him and it only made him feel suffocated. He wanted to get away from it.

While Ivan was away from them, Kai and Augustus were with each other. They picked up the glasses and kept them neatly on the table while cleaning the drink that was spoiled on the table.
