The Witch's Shop

I met that vintage woman early in the morning at five o'clock. The doors were closed. I knocked on it, but there was no answer until she appeared behind me. 'This is far more than early I tell you. Follow me,' she said. This was the first time since forever that I got scared to my death. Though I showed no emotions or feelings. They're different, right? Emotions are actions. Feelings are senses. That's what I think at least.

I followed her into the shop from the back. This place was like a witch's house. It's not that different from the front. The room is almost round with dark brown brick walls and no windows. A round table with a black tablecloth -which is so long that it touches the ground- stands in the middle. Dark green mat on the floor with two single sofas on either side of the room. It's cramped in here. There are only two ways out. Two doors: one to the front of the shop and the other to the back of the shop; which I came in from.

We don't talk. She points at one of the sofas and signals me to sit. I wait there. Admiring this vintage witch house. I found it more lively and bright rather than dark and gloomy. I feel like a kid who just went to Disney land. 'Oh, how sad you must've been; living your life with the same old story,' she sounded like an old woman now.

'You've been surrounded in a world full of dark and gloom and now you must feel like you've come to Disney land. Am I correct?' She smiled at me.

'How did you know?' I asked. 'I know, I know my dear. I've always known.'

She went inside the shop and came back with a newspaper.

'Read this. You know how to read right? They should've at least taught you that.' She said handing me over the paper.

'Yeah, for school.' I said taking it.

The newspaper was a bit dusty. The time goes back to July 1st, 2034.
