Honolulu

The plane touched down in the Honolulu airport early the next morning. Giselle stretched as she stood up and grabbed her things.

Louis's not the only one with secrets, she thought triumphantly.

As she got of the plane, a chic-looking woman in a floral sundress came over to her. The woman had blonde hair and hazel eyes. Her complexion was perfectly white despite being on the beach. On her head were a sunhat and a pair of Michael Kors sunglasses. She was another vampire.

"Giselle! How lovely to see you!" the woman's voice resonated with a British accent.

"Sophie! How are you, my friend?" Giselle expertly slipped into English, her French accent very prominent.

"I've been well. And you? Why would you come here of all places? Was it just to see an old friend?"

"Yes. That and... I've left Louis."

Sophie's eyes widened and her jaw dropped. "Really?"

Giselle nodded.

"Good for you! I never did like him."

"Nobody seems to but me," Giselle muttered sadly.

"Come, Giselle! Let me show you the city! Ooh, we're going to have so much fun!!!"

Giselle laughed, "Okay."

They made their way to Sophie's white 2017 Lamborghini Huracan LP610. The two vamps got in and drove off.

"Sweet ride," Giselle commented.

"I got it from a client."

Sophie Ardington was currently working as a defence attorney, working for the HPD. One of Hawaii's best.

"Let me guess... the prosecutor died?" Giselle asked.

"Yep. His lawyer gave me this baby. Why? I don't know, but I'm not complaining."

"Of course not," Giselle laughed. "Where are we going?"

"My place. So you can drop your stuff off. Then, we're going to hit the bars."

Sophie drove to her apartment building. They got out and went inside. They took the lift up to her floor and headed over to her apartment. Inside the place, Sophie directed Giselle to her spare bedroom. There, she put down her bags and then went back into the other room. She found Sophie out on the balcony.

"You know, I owe you."

"For what?" Giselle asked.

"I was dying, love. Three bullets were lodged in my chest. Stupid underworld shit. Anyways, you saved my life 20 years ago. I owe you for that."

"Well, you're helping me start anew. Why don't we call it even? I thought I owed Louis for saving my life, and look at me. I followed him around for 681 years. Not to mention the two years I spent chasing him while I was still a human."

"Alright. We're even. Plus, I don't like owing people anything anyways: money, favours, you name it."

"Good. I don't want anyone to be indebted to me. Call me naïve, but I don't like the idea of it."

The two women looked out over the bustling city of Honolulu.

"Doesn't the sun hurt, Sophie?"

"Hmm? Yeah, but I've gotten used to it. It's bearable. Sunglasses and a sunhat help a lot. Now, let me show you the best of Honolulu."

The two left the apartment and took Sophie's Lamborghini into town. She parked it on Main Street and the two got out. They walked along the sidewalk, sometimes stopping into shops to look at things. After a while, they headed down to the public beach. The two went for a dip in the ocean and the warm water felt relaxing to Giselle.

"Mmm, I could stay here all day."

"Yeah, but then you'd miss out on all the land action," Sophie laughed.

When it came time for dinner, the two vamps returned to Sophie's apartment and drank some B positive. Then, they changed into more club-appropriate outfits.

Giselle dressed into a pink sequin cocktail dress and pink two inch heels. She put in simple pink crystal earrings. Sophie wore a tropical romper and Valentino sandals.

Then, the two vampires went into the heart of the city to go clubbing.
