Regret #1

It all started in the summer of 2015, almost 15 year old Emma McKinley went on a road trip with her family to visit some of her step mothers family in Arizona. She was now the oldest sibling because her older sister went to live with their mom full time and she went to live with their dad full time. Because of this change she was starting to feel alone, she was a lot older than her younger sisters and was in her second year of high school. Little did she know that the happiness she was feeling on the trip would soon be put to an end. She was also starting to feel the pressures of growing up, like what she wants to do with her life, but she was also dealing with the hell her father was putting her through. He would constantly be messing with her emotions, she would feel wronged by him but he would make her feel like she was overreacting. Everything broke when he told her they were going to talk to someone but refused to tell her why. They reached a building, one where you can't exactly tell what kind of building it is, then they got to a waiting room. Emma was still really confused but felt that everything was going to go south. They went into a room where a lady was sitting there waiting for them, turns out it was counseling for Emma. She was pissed. She was hurt that he wouldn't just tell her where and what they were doing. As for the counseling, she didn't really mind it because she finally had someone to talk to. Her mother came to the second session which was awkward for Emma considering she had some problems with her mom before. Afterwards her mom raised her voice at her and said "do you never blame yourself for anything?" but truth is Emma never blamed anyone for anything, she simply just stated what happened and let the counselor decide what the problem was. That was the last time she went to counseling.

She began feeling very depressed because she kept being blamed for everything and being emotionally abused all the time and she was so confused about everything going on. She came home from school one day and stood in front of cabinet in the kitchen that held all of the medications and looked around the house thinking of her three young sisters and that they would forever be wondering why she decided to kill herself and they her father and step mother would tell them lies (they tell a lot of lies) about what really happened and that she wouldn't be alive to tell them the truth. She decided against it. The next day after school her father told her about how her step mother wanted to kick her out and since he listens to everything she says Emma replied to his text message saying "if you want to kick me out go ahead because I don't want to live in a house with a father that doesn't act like one" then proceeded to get on the bus with her then boyfriend and told her mom she way going to live with her full time. Things were good at her mother's house for a bit but the uncontrollable thoughts started coming back and she tried to run away but told on herself which she eventually she was glad she did.

Emma regrets ever living with her father.
