Uninvited guest

I sat down and refined the Pure Qi that entered my body. After some time I found that my core had changed, it was now like a real tree, it had not just the structure of a it with a trunk, roots, branches and leaves but it became a true tree. The Qi Gathering Method and the Yggdrasil Core fully fused, granting me with a core which could cultivate while I did other things. It was like the photosynthesis, I had better senses and could feel the ambients Qis around me. I could also feel my tree's 'breathing', while it inhaled the Natural Qi, it entered my body and while it exhaled, the remnant and leftover Qis exited my body through my pores.

I felt my Soul Sea expand and increase it's quality two times over. That's when I understood something. I knew that Soul Qi could be used to expand my Soul Sea and purify my Soul but if there were differences in the quality and purity in the Qi of the world, how could I rely on the normal Soul Qi to increase and improve my Soul and Soul Sea. I needed the best quality Soul Qi possible to improve my Soul, I didn't want any impurities or problems later on.

At the same time, my body began to secrete black liquids from my pores. It was just during the process of 'exhaling'. I sensed my body being filled with Qi. It was expelling all impurities and was reinforcing my body. Alas my right arm wasn't regrown yet.

2 hours later I exited my meditative state as I looked around me. There stood Zoe, the Old man and The president, they had worried expressions and were pretty happy after I opened my eyes. I smiled at them and reassured them. I told them that I would talk to them after I took a shower as the black liquids exiting my pores stinked.

10 minutes later we were in the living room talking to each other.

"Ok, Old man, Prez, I've succeed in my breakthrough to the Qi Core Creating, I can finally completely focus myself to the Arrays Association for at least twenty years. I thank you for your patience." I said as I smiled at them. After my breaktrough my life span which was previously caped at a hundred years expended to three hundred years. twenty years wasn't even a tenth of my lifespan, on top of that I could take my time to learn and slowly comprehend a Dao which was extremely complex, difficult and all-encompassing. Totally worth it.

They smiled back and told me.

" Happy to hear that. While you have been away cultivating, some of our Arrays practionneers succeeded in producing and sensing Array Qi. They made several discovery during their study.

First, the array Qi can not be used to attack. It is exclusif to create Arrays. Even after mixing it with differents Qis it doesn't react with the intention of wounding someone. We are trying to bypass that but are unable for now.

Second, as you said before the Array Qi is extremely stable and fluid. When used to create formations and arrays it's 50% easier than without and the speed of our understanding of arrays and formations are halved. You just have to look at your Array Qi while vizualising your formation or array and your understanding will naturally grows. The Array Qi is naturally extremely profound. By looking at it and seeking answer from it, we can receive a type of enlightment. There is a part of talent in it as the understanding grows at differents speed for each person, but every person with an Array Qi is definitively a talented perrson we should nurtured.

Third, we have discovered that the resources used to create formations and arrays could be reduced thanks to the apparences of Beasts Qi of Qi Core Creating Stage, which have Beast Core. That's the same Core as us but we can't do as them and swallow the Core from other species and other being. We can instead use them in our formations and arrays to empower them and reduce their cost." The President said while looking at me. He then asked me.

"Do you have idea of what kind of formations and arrays could be created ?I have some ideas but I'm apparently not good enough, or didn't find the right way to do it yet."

"I have some ideas that would be extremely powerfull if succeed but I will need all your support. Also I want to be, first, permitted to travel to find my remnant family. I can do research while going from Arrays Association branches to other Arrays Association branches. After that I can promise you to stay put for the next 50 years, unless extreme case touching my family of course." I said as I looked at him seriously.

He didn't even ponder and took a grab of my hand while saying with a smile : "Deal". I also asked him if he could use his information network to find my family and he told me it would be done. Like that, the president stood up and went out of the manor preparing to built an office and a laboratory for me.

I was extremely touched and happy. As the Old man saw that, he proposed that we had a little celebration and I accepted eagerly. Then he let us Zoe and me and we could finally spend some quality time alone. We just sat there and talked while cuddling. I loved her blue eyes and silver hair so much...

I couldn't help myself but ask her if it was natural. It wasn't on ancient earth that you could see this natural color. Impossible. White was possible if you were an elder or if you had lived through a big trauma but silver was impossible.

She replied that she didn't know. When she came to this world she suffered the blacklash of the Qi too and it's only after it ended that she saw her hair looked like that. That's later, when she was with her group, that she found out she had blue eyes. She looked at me and said.

" You know after your breakthrough you've become more handsome. If before you were plain, now you can be considered slightly handsome." She caressed my jaw line and cheeks and I looked in her eyes.

"Huh, I've always been handsome, that's why I could make you fall for me." I rolled my eyes but she could see that I was playing. I never bothered with look, even if I was plain, I didn't give a fuck. The person's soul and personnality was the most important for me. I know it osund ultra cliché but if Zoe was ugly AF but had the same personnality and character, I would still fall for her. After all, do you see a lot of ugly woman in Cultivation novels ? No, and it's for a simple reason. As you advance the differents Realms and Stages your boy is bound to improve to support the Qi inside. And a beautifull, youtfull and energic body was required to do this. If you had malformation, The Qi you cultivated wouldn't tolerate it, as it's a barrier to it's circulation.

We kissed for a long time before we separeted from each other.

"I think you could have a constitution." I said. She looked at me quite confused.

"You know that in the world, there's a lot of people who have differents physicals or intellectuals traits. They have also differents talents. Some could be Heaven defying genius in pogramming while other could be Heaven defying prodigies in judo. These talent come from their personnality and body. A constitution is a particular body given from heaven to a particular person. This body is usually full of talents for differents Qis and Daos. Since we just came in this world, you're the first person I see which has had a change in the color of the hairs and eyes. But we don't know if what you have is a constitution or something else. We must be cautious." I said. I couldn't stop myself from being interrested and worried, I didn't want my thoughts to lead her to Qi deviation if it was false.

"You know, I always thoughts that you knew a lot more than the average for someone who is in this world for the first time, is there something you want to tell me ?" She asked me with a serious expression. I could see a small smile trying to hide beneath her serious face.

I couldn't help myself from laughing for 1 long minute. Each time I looked at her, I could see her face becoming a bit redder. At the same time the smile she was trying to hide was threatening to show itself, she needed her complete focus to stop it from escaping her control.

" Hey I'm not Nie Li. For you to think I came back from the future, HAHAHA. Before the world changed I was the typical nerd. I spend most of my time reading eastern fantasy and eastern novels. They were almost all based on a Cultivation World as this one. To think that the human imagination could almost predict ou future... Back to the topic, I just read a lot of novels which are a benefits to our current situation." I said while trying to calm myself.

Zoe was pouting, but the smile on her face grew without her being able to stop it.

That was a new facet of her personnality i discovered here and I was happy. After that, we went to the Old man and saw him ordering the servants around. I returned to my room and began to consolidate my cultivation. I hadn't had enough time to do it since the Prez, the Old man and Zoe were there. After several hours, I could sense that my foundation had improved a tiny bit. I was a bit surprise and desapointed but quickly gathered my thoughts.

'Stop being like that James, it's totally normal for cultivation to be this difficult. You can't hope for every Stages and Realms to be as easy as the first one, right ? First, you had the Blessing from God. Second, it was an exception as the first stage is the only one which is done in one smooth swoop. You have to prepare yourself for centuries and millenia to pass before you advance as small level.' I thought. As depressing as that could be for everyone else, I gained renewed vigor and my heart was filled with a calm and excited feeling. I could sense that just the thought of having a tiny, small improvement would be worth all the time spend, in my heart.

A servant came and knocked on the door.

"Mr. James, Master Myokago has asked me to lead you to the kitchen, the dinner will be served." The servant told me while staying outside the room.

"I'll prepare myself and come to the kitchen in ten minutes, no need to wait for me, I know the way to the kitchen." I responded and got up. I took a shower and dressed myself. I knew that Zoe would be beautifull tonight and I didn't want her to be with someone who couldn't dress for her. I took a black suit, pants and lether shoes and put them on. With my blond hair and blue eyes, my handsomeness was enhanced. It wasn't to the point I could surpass everyone else, far from that, but I could be considered slightly handsome.

I headed to the kitchen and there I saw Zoe and the Old man talking to each other. I smiled at them as they looked over. The Old man just smiled and took a glass to serve me with champaign. He was really rich now... We talked as we headed to the dinning room. We sat down and engaged in a conversation while waiting for the dinner to be served.

"So what do you think you'll do from now on, Will you go search for your familly first or will you improve your strenght to a certain level before going at their research ?" The Old man asked me. I pondered for severals seconds and they waited patiently.

"I think I'll search for my parents first. I'm already one of the best talent of Humanity, having reached the Qi Core Creating Stage. Furthermore, while consolidating my foundation I could sense tthat improving my cultivation would take a lot of time, Time I don't want to spend without knowing were is my familly or what happened to them." I said seriously. I loved my familly, my sister and my mother. I didn't know where they were and was a little anxious to know. Imagine if there was something that happened and they hadn't survive because of beasts or bandits or just other peoples...If they died just because I had chosen to improve myself here, I woud regret it all my life.

" Yes I understand, Zoe you should go with james. He can protect you while you're in the Qi Sensing Stage and during your breakthrough. Also we need to find your parents and I can't go with you as I have responsability towards the Arrays Association." The Old man said with a serious look as the food came. Zoe nodded and looked at me with love and determination. I reciproqued.

"Do you know when you'll go ?" The Old man asked. I responded that I planned to wait for informations from the President. I f there were no inforation after a month I would go after them.

After that we relaxed ourself and ate while talking and joking.

Suddenly we heard some noises coming from the hallway. Butler and servants were nearly shouting. We got up with serious expression and a man with sword shaped brows, a lean but strong body, black hairs and eyes approached. He had a false smile plastered on his face and said.

"Myokago Zonondo, is it how you welcome the mayor and most powerfull cultivator of this city ??" A glint could be seen in his eyes. He had clearly malicious intent but didn't plan on expose it for now.

The Old man was stunned for a while and didn't know what to say. 'How can I welcome you knowing you're a filthy snake who barge in my manor withuot being annouced, Huh ?'
