Constable Grigson found the spot and immediately began to read. 'At 9.33 pm on the night of the 17th of September last year my partner Constable Bradley and I were in the area when we received a call to attend a possible homicide at the Narrabundah supermarket. On arrival we found the body of a male of approximately sixty years of age. A knife was protruding from his chest. At the scene there was also another male and a female. I ascertained that they were the deceased's wife and son and that the perpetrator had already left the scene in a motor vehicle. I called in, secured the scene, and waited for the investigating officer to arrive. Constable Bradley investigated the area outside but found no trace of either the perpetrator or a vehicle. An ambulance arrived about ten minutes after us.'
'What did you do to secure the scene?'
