72 Chapter 70 - Divination pt. 2

***** Bonus Chapter ***** A/N: Not sure if I mentioned this previously or not (maybe it's in one of the info chapters I've since deleted), but I saw a question in the comments about my release schedule. My regular releases have been Sunday and Wednesday, but I've been throwing in bonus chapters as well (like this one), so on average it's working out to about 4-5 releases a week. Just the Sunday and Wednesday ones are guaranteed (unless I'm visiting my parents or somewhere without internet. Then the sunday release will drop Monday instead).

Also this chapter is a bit of an info dump, but as you will all see I'm starting to lay breadcrumbs for my extended HP AU. Canon has only started to fall apart, but im slowly going to start introducing more OC and Legacy related lore as we progress through book 4 and into book 5. Might be obvious at this point, but We're going way past Voldy as the sole bad guy. Even with the reveal at the end, there's much more than just that planned. I'm going to be Introducing brand new power levels, that should even give Jordan a run for his money. Should be fun for Khan and crew *****

"Have you ever questioned why you had awakened after 103 years Jordan?" Natsai asked.

The 4 of them had relocated back to the headmaster's office, after Natty's extended prophecy, and were now all seated around the headmaster's desk, enjoying some tea brought to them by Teek.

Strangely, Natsai had taken the headmaster's chair, once again displaying her seniority over the so called 'most powerful wizard in the world', kicking off their conversation with the sudden question.

"I always assumed it was due to the fact my assimilation of the magic under Hogwarts was finally completed." Khan confessed. "It was quite the large amount after all."

"Hmmmm." Natsai pondered his answer a moment before responding. "That perhaps might be the reason behind the coma, but have you even given any thought as the significance behind the number of years? However large, it wouldn't normally take over 100 years to assimilate magic."

"Honestly, I never gave the time spent in my coma much thought." Khan replied. "Is there any 'significance' behind the number 103?"

Natsai took on her Headmistress persona, as she answered.

"As you all know, there exists a large amount of magical numbers in current wizarding society. 2, 3, 5, 7, 11.." Natsai began her explanation. "These magical numbers all have different magical powers and purposes behind them. For example, the number 7 is perhaps the most potent magical number, often used in magical rituals where a lot of magical power is required."

"Without delving too far into numerology, one simply needs to understand that our magical numbers are essentially prime numbers; numbers that can only be divided by 1 and itself."

A light flicked on for Jordan, his face taking on a look of realization.

"Ah, I can see that you have figured it out." Natty acknowledged Khan, with a smile on her face. "Yes, 103 years is indeed a magical number. But that is not the only significance behind it; it is in fact not just any old magical number."

"How? You may be asking yourself. Why would 103 not just be any old magical number?"

"Well, 103 is in fact the 27th magical number that exists, and is the 2nd magical number that exists above 100."

"Now in numerology, It being the second magical number above 100, already gives it quite the significance, especially with the number 2 being our first magical number to exist."

"But when you combine that with it being the 27th magical number to exist and well..."

"3 * 3 * 3…." Khan mumbled to himself out loud, catching on to Natty's explanations. "3 is a magical number, and multiplying it with itself gives you the number 27…."

"Similar to the number 7, which as you previously mentioned is the most potent, the number 7 is the 4th magical number to exist. And as we just mentioned, 2 is a magical number, so multiplying it by itself gives us 4!" Kahn logically took it a step farther further explaining the special significance around the number 7.

"Exactly! 103 is not just any old magical number….. there are multiple levels of significance behind it." Natsai agreed energetically, happy that Jordan was still sharp as ever, even after his long coma. "Which worries me my friend. It is no coincidence, that magic herself has chosen to awaken you after such a significant number of years has passed."

"I had no idea…." Khan mumbled to himself once again in awe.

He could simply not believe the significance behind the number 103, let alone that he himself was now tied to that magical number due to his coma.

What kind of strange coincidence…. Divination truly was a mysterious art.

"Perhaps he is to help young Harry with Voldemort." Dumbledore tried to (un)helpfully give his opinion about why Jordan could have possibly been reawakened.

*Sigh*

Natsai let out a loud audible sigh, in obvious exasperation of her protégé.

"I apologize for Little Albus here, Jordan. Even after all this time, he is still a bit green behind the ears." Natty ruthlessly ignored Dumbledore, going so far as to cut down his suggestion. "He is still under the impression that Voldemort is a 'dark lord' worth mentioning."

She rolled her eyes before continuing, addressing Dumbledore directly. "He is barely above the level of Rookwood, Harlow, and the Ashwinders, Little Albus, and we took them down in 5th year!"

She pointed at Jordan and herself, obviously still proud of that particular achievement.

"It still baffles me that you alone, with all your power and knowledge, cannot deal with that wannabe dark lord and his minions, the death suckers, or whatever they're calling themselves these days. Especially with your wand."

She pointedly paused, in her lecture of Dumbledore, to glare at him, as he sheepishly looked off to the side.

"You know I am right, Mr. 'There is good in everybody'." She continued her verbal lashing, much to Jordan's amusement. Natty was still as feisty as he remembered.

"If you actually listened to me, and destroyed everybody you had to fight against, Grindelwald, let alone Voldemort, would be barely more than minor nuisances, with next to no support, especially considering all your positions!"

"By Instead, what happens? Your former lover Grindlewald gets enough support to actually kick off the first ever global wizarding war, before you finally decide to step in and stop him."

"And do you learn from your mistake? No! Voldemort goes and does the exact same thing, kicking off an actual country-wide war on British land."

"What?!?" Jordan cried out in shock, from the side.

"Do you know how shameful that is? British soil has not seen war since the 1700s, yet under your watch, we have experienced two!" natty continued her tirade.

Dumbledore was looking quite ashamed by now, at the verbal lashing handed to him by his mentor.

"Those so call dark lords were all quite lucky that Jordan here was in a coma. Not to mention I was busy at Uagadou as Headmistress, and our mutual friend Poppy was a pacifist, although I doubt she's one now."

"Yes… that much was made evident during their brief skirmish at the Quidditch World Cup last summer." Dumbledore agreed. He had no doubt watching Khan's ruthlessness, that the war against Voldemort would not have lasted as long as it did.

'Perhaps it would be better to describe it as a slaughter, rather than a war, come to think of it.' Dumbledore thought to himself. 'If Jordan was present, of course.'

"Which leads more credence to my first theory; Jordan could have been awoken to help stop Grindelwald. He could've been awoken to help stop Voldemort. But he stayed in his coma, magic keeping him asleep til he was needed."

"And Now that Jordan has reappeared, I fully expect there to be more trouble arising. As such, I also expect that you will begin to fulfill your duties as not only the headmaster of Hogwarts, but also the chief warlock, supreme mugwump, and grand sorcerer, and begin to take care of this Voldemort problem."

"And not leave it all to a 14 year old boy. Especially when we have already previously discussed all the inaccuracies in Mr. Potter's prophecy."

"Am I understood?"

"Yes ma'am…" Dumbledore said, resigned to his fate; He knew deep in his heart that he could not keep his pacifist ideals. This lecture from his mentor only confirmed what he was too afraid to think for himself.

"Very good." Natsai appeared placated, hoping she had finally gotten the message through her thick protégé's skull. "You will learn, that Jordan and myself will have more important people to deal with soon enough."

"Jordan here, is much too powerful to deal with the likes of little Tom Ridd- I mean, Voldemort, at any rate." Natty continued. "Surely you can sense the strength of his magic, Little Albus."

"Jordan has displayed unique and powerful magic as well, proving his magical combat capabilities, even taking down a dragon in direct combat. But I thought it was more due to his unique magical coma, combined with his powerful family magic, truth be told, and honestly didn't think much more of it. Surely you can't be implying that Jordan is on par with our magical powers and capabilities?"

'Was Jordan really that powerful, that Natsai wants me to take down Voldemort?' Dumbledore thought to himself in slight shock. 'Looks like my mentor is once again implying that Voldemort was some kind of small-fry….'

"Yes. That is exactly what I am implying. Except, while we have long reached our primes magically, Jordan is still growing, and has yet to reach magical maturity. Which means, he has the potential to become even more powerful."

"Which leads me to my next point of discussion; your prophecy." Natsai continued after a slight pause, to wait for her audience to finish digesting all the information she had just given them.

"Due to my worry, I had been scrying my crystal ball all day, attempting to pick up any trace as to the reason behind your purpose and existence in our current era."

"Unfortunately, as most magic involving you does, my scrying failed, most likely due to your ancient magic once again interfering." She pointedly looked at Jordan accusingly, as if to say the interference were his fault, before continuing.

"So you can imagine my surprise, when I came to sense a prophecy attached to you, right when you can your partner walked in."

"It was quite the strong prophecy; the strongest bit of 'fate magic' I have ever interacted with in fact."

"I also assumed by the look on your face at the time I came out of my retelling of the prophecy, that you have heard at least part of it before, correct?"

"Yes, a young strange Blonde student in my house was actually the one who told me the prophecy." Jordan nodded his agreement. "Although it was missing a large piece of it towards the end there."

"Did you say that a student from your Ravenclaw house told you that strong prophecy?" Natty asked him in shock.

"Yes….. why is that weird?" Khan confirmed hesitantly.

"Ravenclaws are typically logical and methodical. As such it is rare to find a naturally-born seer, especially one so strongly connected to fate magic, born into such a house."

'Maybe that's why I foiled her sleeping outside the tower that one time…" Khan wondered to himself. 'Perhaps due to her strong connection with fate magic, logical questions, like those posed by our door, may be impossible for her to answer."

"I wish to meet her. Please arrange this Little Albus." Natsai meanwhile, had her own ideas, listening to Jordan and his confirmation of said blonde student.

Dumbledore of course, quickly nodded his agreement, to his mentor.

"Now back to the matter at hand…. Your prophecy." Natty moved on, once she had visual confirmation from Dumbledore. "While a lot of it is vague, there is one particular part that sticks out to me… "

"A dark lord shall reemerge, with malice in his soul,

To plunge the world into chaos, his sinister purpose whole."

She recited the lines from the prophecy.

"That part sticks out to you? Do you know the identity of this 'dark lord'?" Khan asked excitedly.

"Yes, I do." Natty nodded gravely. "And you do too. Probably better than anyone else in fact."

"What do you mean?" Khan asked hesitantly, in clear contrast to his excited mood just moments ago.

"The dark lord in the prophecy is most likely your 3rd best friend; Sebastian Sallow."
