***** BONUS CHAPTER ***** A/N: Not much to say…. Hope you all enjoy the chapter! *****

"If you are sure, Lord Khan." Flitwick squeaked happily. "I see no problem with the arrangement, and I will be here to assist with anything that may occur!"

"Excellent!" Khan responded in equal excitement. "I think the class will enjoy this."

Khan was currently helping Professor Flitwick prepare for his next class, and had just volunteered to teach his upcoming lesson.

It had been a few weeks since the 1st day of classes, and Khan had fallen into a rhythm of the school term. And while it mainly consisted of copious amounts of homework and studying for his O.W.Ls, Khan found that he enjoyed helping teach the various years for both the Defense and Charms classes.

*RING* *RING*

The bell rang, signaling the start of the next classes, as the doors automatically opened, and the students all rushed into the classroom, scurrying to grab desks beside their friends.

Khan noted, that they had a Double 4th year lesson with Gryffindor and Slytherin.

He had started to become more familiar with various students over the past couple of weeks, himself gaining a minor celebrity status as a Junior Professor. And it didn't hurt that he was especially proficient at practical application of spells when helping his professors demonstrate for the class.

"Settle down class!" Squeaked Flitwick from atop his mound of books. "Junior Professor Khan will be teaching this lesson, so I would ask that you all give him your attention!"

The class fell silent, in anticipation of what this new junior professor would teach. He had earned their respect demonstrating his practical combat knowledge in defense, and his creativity with spells in charms.

"Thank you, Professor Flitwick!" Khan said, before turning to address the class. "Alright class... today's lesson will be on the summoning charm!"

"Now, who can tell me the incantation for the Summoning charm?"

As Khan had come to expect when teaching 4th year Gryffindors, Hermione's hand shot up immediately. Although she was joined by a Slytherin girl.

"Greengrass!" Khan decided to call on the blonde and blue eyed Slytherin girl.

"Accio!" Daphne Greengrass replied.

"Very good! 5 points to Slytherin!" Since Khan was in charge of the lesson, Flitwick had decided to leave the points awards to him. "The summoning spell is a very old and useful spell. And while it cannot be used to summon living things, you can still use it to grab and summon people, if you use the charm and summon their clothes."

Khan smiled, as he passed on that particular bit of knowledge about the summoning spell. When he had learned that 'summoning clothes trick', accio soon became one of his favorite spells to use in combat.

"And who can tell me what the difference is between a super bright lumos, and a dim one? They both use the same spell after all....." Khan followed up, with a 2nd question.

Again, both Hermione and Daphne's hand shot up.

"Hermione!" Not wanting to show favoritism to either house, Khan called on Hermione this time.

"Your will?" Hermione answered.

"Correct! 5 points to Gryffindor!" Khan stated, before fully going into lecture mode. "Now... a key element to any form of magic, is your will, or your determination. This is especially obvious in spells such as Lumos, and Accio where you can quite literally see the difference."

"For this spell to work, aside from the typical 'proper incantation/pronunciation and wand movement' (Khan gave air quotations to the class), you need to really want what you are summoning." He explained. "And the heavier, and further it is away, the more you're going to need your will to successfully summon an object."

Khan conjured numerous rubber balls, similar to the balls he used to summon for his beast friends to play with.

"Alright class! Please pair up!" Khan announced, as he pointed to the numerous rubber balls piled up beside him. "When you've found a partner, please line up on opposite sides of the classroom facing each other. And the one on the right, come to the front and grab a ball to share between yourselves!"

The class quickly did as instructed, excited for a practical lesson.

"Watch my wand motions carefully everyone!" Khan called out, as he demonstrated the spell. He had to admit, felt slightly awkward to him performing the full wand motions, as he had gotten used to quick-casting the spell during combat.

"Now, those on the left side without the ball, ready your wands. And those holding the ball, prepare to summon the ball back from your partner afterwards!" He continued to explain to the class, coaching them through their first practical of the year. "Picture the ball in your mind..... you want it.... more than anything else right now....."

"Can you picture it in your mind? Do you really want it?"

The class nodded, faces tight with concentration.

"Good.... Now follow my wand motions, and loudly annunciate 'Ahhh-seee-ohhh', while keeping the ball in your mind... Ready... and go!"

As Khan finished his instructions, the class began to try to cast the spell diligently, Accios ringing out across the classroom.

Some people, were able to get it on their first try, such as Hermione and Daphne. Khan suspected they had studied/practiced the spell before even coming to this class, the two of them being the only ones who knew the incantation as well as the possessing the 'will' required to summon an object their first try.

Many others, such as Harry and Malloy, were able to successfully cast the spell, but unfortunately did not cast with enough determination, resulting with the ball falling halfway to the summoner.

There were a few individuals however, like Ron and 2 rather slow individuals who were Malfoy's friends, Crabbe and Goyle, who did not manage to cast the spell successfully, their wand shooting out sparks in protest.

Khan fully in his junior professor role, stopped by each pair to personally give a few tips, demonstrating the spell a few more times.

After 10s of minutes had passed, and Khan was satisfied that a majority of the class had gotten the basics down for the spell, he clapped his has together loudly, calling back attention over to himself.

*CLAP* *CLAP*

"Very good class! A majority of you seem to have gotten the basics down!" Khan praised the class. "Now I was thinking, since it's an especially nice day outside today, we could hold the 2nd part of this lesson outside. Follow me!"

The class excitedly followed Khan outside with Prof. Flitwick happily bouncing along bringing up the rear. The diminutive professor was quite impressed with the class so far, especially with the fact that the Gryffindors and Slytherins had not yet fought. It was quite common after all, for double classes which these 2 houses shared, to descend into chaos from their constant fighting.

Khan led them outside towards the flying class lawn, still lecturing to the class.

"I've always found that a little practical application goes hand in hand with mastery. And if you can have a little fun while doing it.... well that's just a bonus!"

Reaching the giant empty lawn, close where the flying class took place, Khan stopped the class, smiling at them.

"So, what better that a bit of sport to put our prowess with the summoning charm to test!?"

Brandishing his wand with a bit of flourish, he conjured a Summoner's court board!

A large rectangular wooden board, it was separated into 4 different colored sections, each section denoting a points score: red (10), Orange (20), Green (30), and Blue (50). At one end lay 3 red balls, and 3 blue balls, directly opposite where Khan and the students were standing.

"This is what is called Summoner's Court! Think of it like Gobstones, if you will. But instead of throwing tiny marbles out, you are summoning giant spheres towards you instead." Khan announced. "Watch closely! I'm going to cast Accio on one of those spheres, relinquishing the charm at the last possible moment. This will cause the sphere to roll towards me, and stop in one of these colored sections, awarding me what ever points are indicated."

"Accio!" Khan quick-casted the charm out of habit, releasing the charm perfectly that the rolling sphere came to a stop in the last colored section, worth 50 points!

Khan had become quite proficient at this game his previous year at Hogwarts, eventually beating his own Professor in a match, the inventor of the game himself, Professor Ronen.

The class cheered the skillful shot!

"Just like that!" He said triumphantly, before turning to conjure a few more Summoner's court boards. "Alright class..... Your turn! Please pair back up with your partners! Nothing like some friendly competition to liven things up after all!"

"3 shots each obviously, highest score at the end win! And make sure to go to the back of the line after your game is complete, to give the next pair a turn!" Khan finished.

The class immediately paired off and rushed to the various Summoner court boards littered around the lawn. There wasn't quite enough space for each pair of students to have their own board, so each board had 2-3 pairs of students waiting to take their turn. This worked out however, as the students waiting their turn, eventually became cheerleaders, cheering each shot made, encouraging their classmates currently playing.

Khan stood beside Professor Flitwick, listening to all the cheers and laughing coming from all the students. It seemed even students who were previously unable to cast the spell successfully, were now able to play the game alongside their classmates, casting Accio successfully enough to at least move the sphere forward a for a few points.

"How ingenious Lord Khan!" Flitwick squeaked out excitedly. "I have never had a 4th year class pick up this quickly on learning a Summoning charm. Would you be open to teaching this game to my upper year classes as well?"

"Of course, Professor! I would love to!" Khan was happy to share Professor Ronen's game with this current batch of Hogwarts students. "Perhaps we could eventually organize a school tournament... There are many variations of the game board that could be created, such as moving objects to block the balls, or various slopes on the gameboard to test's the player's control."

"Oh, what a good idea!" Flitwick was in full support of his protégé, being very impressed with Khan's ingenuity and creative lesson. "We can create increasingly harder gameboards for the contestants to play on, as they advance through the tournament!"

"And I have the perfect name for this event!" Khan's eyes were twinkling with excitement at their slowly developing plan. "We can call it - 'The Summoner's Cup!'"
