Chapter 29

While Adan was creepily looking at the sleeping spirit and Seo Yuhui, the spirit suddenly sat up and started looking around. When she looked beside her, she blankly stared at Adan and laid back down, and cuddled as close to him as possible.

[Finally, someone who understands me... someone who cares about me... someone who feeds me... Thank you so much... this is the first time that I've eaten since a long, long time ago... I was really angry about those bastards who tried to steal from me... I resent them... I really want to be consoled... It's not fair! It's not fair!]

The spirit silently cried as she snuggled up to Adan. Feeling a little sorry, Adan took his left arm and rubbed the spirit's back with it as his right arm tightens its hold on her.

Whilst he was consoling the poor spirit, Adan thought, 'The fuck? How come I can touch this spirit? This is really weird.'

After a few minutes, Adan looked at the sleeping spirit and got up. He then walked outside of the tent while thinking, 'That spirit was Flone, isn't she? Just my luck. Meeting Flone without an artifact that she can possess and take her with me.'

Thinking more about the situation with Flone, Adan hurriedly went inside the tent and looked at her chest, and noticed the Promise of Temperance. He smiled when he saw that and thought, 'Now how do I get her to possess that and travel with me? She can't pass on to the afterlife, right? Might as well be my waifu...'

Staring blankly at the peaceful face of Flone, Adan couldn't help but think, 'Eh? Didn't she dislike showing herself to others? Then why in the world is she showing her body to Seo Yuhui and me in our first meeting but she didn't show herself immediately to Seol Jihu who she took an immediate liking in the novel?'

Shaking his head off of those thoughts, Adan walked out of the tent again and sat down on the floor in an Indian sit while thinking of ways that would let Flone be with them. He then snapped his fingers and said, "Ah! That's right! There's a barrier and-"

Adan quickly snapped his head towards the direction of where Flone and Seo Yuhui were sleeping and thought, 'Eh? Didn't she only get to show herself after the seal was broken? Huh? Why in the world can she show herself now?'

Thinking about it more, Adan soon got it. She can show her body like she's doing right now because she willed her body to appear. Not like in the novel where she didn't want to show herself to Seol Jihu immediately. Well, that's the only logical explanation Adan could come up with anyway.

Walking towards the sarcophagus, Adan started touching it with squinted eyes as he thought, 'Hmmm, a spell around the body if I remember it correctly. So, how am I gonna do this?'

Shrugging his shoulders, Adan went back to the tent and laid back down with the girls while thinking, 'Meh, I'll think about it when Flone and Seo Yuhui are awake.'

[So you're saying is; that you can break me out of the spell that's trapping me in this forest?] the spirit/Flone asked Adan with a look of disbelief on her face.

Adan happily nodded his head and said, "Yep! I think so... but if I try hard enough then I can definitely do it!"

Flone shook her head in sadness and replied, [Impossible, the spell that's trapping me to my body that is trapped in this forest was made by a Sage. You can't possibly break the spell...]

Adan looked at Seo Yuhui who was giving Adan an encouraging look. She felt a little sorry for the spirit after hearing her story. She hopes that Adan could break the spell on the spirit so that she could pass on to the afterlife.

Seo Yuhui doesn't believe in the impossible anymore after meeting Adan. If someone told her that there was a Lvl 1 that can beat a Hydra black and blue with little to no effort, then she would definitely call them crazy.

Adan then turned his attention back to Flone and said, "So, want me to try?"

Flone didn't believe that Adan could do it but she wishes- no, she hopes that was he's saying is true. She then said, [You can try but if you want to try something with my body to help you in breaking the spell, then I'm sorry to inform you that it has already rotted away a long time ago. I'm just reconstructing it when I want to using the vital energy of the forest.]

Adan and Seo Yuhui looked a little surprised at that as Adan forgot about that part and Seo Yuhui didn't know about this beforehand. Seo Yuhui then asked, "So in the sarcophagus, all that's in there is a lump of energy, not flesh and blood?"

Flone nodded her head and said, [I've tried all sorts of things to get out of here. Even my mother tried to take me out, but...] she looked at them sadly and then at her coffin in resentment.

Adan walked towards her and patted her head as he said, "Don't worry about it, Flone. I'll do everything in my power to free you."

Flone gave him a sad smile as she nodded her head. Seo Yuhui then walked a little closer to Flone and gave her a comforting hug.

Adan then started walking towards the sarcophagus and started inspecting it as he did earlier. Racking his brain for any possible solution, Adan tried the only thing that he thinks would work, and that was Magic/Mana Absorption.

Absorbing the Mana that was making the spell work, or maybe cutting off the connection of the energy that was feeding the spell so that it wouldn't work anymore. Fuck! This was harder than he thought it to be.

"GAHHH!!! FUCKING SPELL!! YOU THINK THAT I CAN'T BREAK YOU!? PIECE OF SHIT!!" Adan screamed out in frustration as he started attacking what felt like the spell in the sarcophagus with his Mana.

Flone and Seo Yuhui looked at Adan with sweatdrops forming on the side of their faces. But then it turned into that of sweatdrops made from nervousness as the overwhelming Mana came out of him.

'Eh? Wasn't this a little too much Mana? Heh? What's happening to Adan?' those were the questions being asked inside of their heads.

When they heard the sound of something breaking, all three of them could only look at the sarcophagus dumbfounded. Wait, wah? Did that just happen?

Adan scratched the back of his head in confusion. But his confusion quickly disappeared when he saw the coffin started breaking down and the Flone beside Seo Yuhui started disappearing.

When the sarcophagus fully broke, Adan and Seo Yuhui could see the familiar figure of Flone who slowly sat up in disbelief. She then started looking around and stopped when she noticed Adan standing there dumbly.

Flone then immediately threw herself onto him and said, [Thank youuuu! Thank you, thank you, thank you!]

Adan smiled warmly at the poor ghost and said, "You're welcome Flone." Adan felt a little creeped out by her blood-red tears but didn't say anything as he turned towards Seo Yuhui to come to them.

Seo Yuhui smiled at him and walked closer as she wrapped her arms around Flone too. Whilst the two were hugging the wailing Flone, all the people in Haramark felt alarmed at the overwhelming Mana that suddenly appeared.

Imma make MC so overpowered in the next chapter that he could be lazy throughout his adventure...
