Chapter 23

"I now declare the end of the trial in the Neutral Zone. I'm sure you all can find the exit on your own?"

Taciana Cinzia stated as she could be seen standing on the end of the fountain again. By her side, Clair Agnes and Maria Yeriel could be seen sporting irritated looks. They were both looking in one direction with longing and jealousy.

In the said direction, Adan could be seen wearing a white polo t-shirt, black pants, and white sneakers as Yun Seora and Odelette Delphine could be seen beside him.

Yun Seora who was hanging from Adan's front was wearing a pure navy blue hoodie, a new pair of leggings, and navy blue sneakers. Her hairstyle was now that of a ponytail and she looked like she wasn't paying attention to anything Taciana Cinzia said.

Odelette Delphine, on the other hand, was wearing a light blue sundress. Her headband that she was always wearing was nowhere to be found and was now replaced by a cute light blue hairpin. She was also wearing light blue sandals as she sat on Adan's shoulders in excitement.

Yi Seol-Ah could be found beside her brother sporting an envious look. She could now be seen wearing a light pink sweatshirt, light pink pants, and reddish-looking shoes. Like Odelette Delphine, her hairband was replaced by a light pink scrunchie.

Adan couldn't help but snicker when he saw her outfit as he knew what kind of climate outside the exit door was.

Yi Sungjin, on the other hand, was still wearing the same clothes he wore when he got here. The only excuse he had when they suggested that he change outfit was, "I don't really want to spend my Survival Points on clothes."

Looking at Shin Sang-Ah and Hyun Sangmin, Adan couldn't help but wonder what their excuse was on why they didn't want to change their clothes.

At least Seol Jihu changed his! Albeit, it was the same as the one he wore when he got out of the Neutral Zone.

When Adan was finally done with his 'daydreaming', the others were already walking out of the exit door with Seol Jihu on the lead.

Adan chuckled a bit when he felt Odelette Delphine try and pull his hair towards the direction of the exit. Adan then asked with mirth present in his voice, "Fine, fine. Are you guys excited to finally leave the Neutral Zone?"

The girls quickly shook their heads in negative as Yun Seora replied, "No... we can't be with you anymore if we leave..." as Odelette Delphine nodded her head at what she said.

Adan then gave them a comforting smile and said, "But we can't stay here forever. What about the companies you guys got invited to? Won't they feel apprehensive if you guys don't show up knowing that you're still alive? You can't just leave them, you know? You'll be branded as a criminal and your families... will miss... you..."

Adan fell a little at what he said but he still kept his comforting smile. Yun Seora and Odelette Delphine then gave him worried glances but didn't say anything when Adan started walking towards the exit.

When Adan reminded the girls about their families, Adan couldn't help but recall about his own. It has been exactly 10 years since he has been transmigrated but it has only been 10 months to his old world.

Adan couldn't help but think about going back, but what will be waiting for him there? Yeah, he can go back once he's strong enough but what is he going to do there? When his family is already so broken that his father tried to commit suicide?

Adan continued to walk forward with a bitter smile present on his face as the girls looked at him with concerned faces.

"Sooo, Yun Seora and Seol Jihu will be going to Scheherazade, Yi Seol-Ah and Yi Sungjin will be going to... where was it again?" Adan gave them a questioning look.

"We'll be going to Scheherazade too, Orabeo-nim. The company we got invited to is in there. Its name is White Rose," Yi Sungjin gave Adan a cheery smile. It turned strain the moment he saw his older sister cling to Adan's back like her life depended on it.

Adan nodded in understanding and turned towards Shin Sang-Ah and Hyun Sangmin and asked, "And you guys?"

Shin Sang-Ah proudly puffed her chest and said, "I'll be going to Eva and-"

Adan ignored what she was going to say next and turned to the amused Hyun Sangmin and asked, "You?"

"Nur, what about-" Hyun Sangmin began to ask Adan but was shortly interrupted when Adan asked Odelette Delphine where she was going.

"What about you little lady?" Adan enjoyed the pout appearing on her face and laughed a little when she pulled his hair. That little act didn't hurt him in the very least, at most it only tickled him.

"I'm going to the Magician's Guild... wait! How about you come with me!? You're a Magician too, right? So you can-" Odelette Delphine's chattering was soundly interrupted by Adan when he made a shushing motion.

Odelette Delphine pouted at being interrupted but still stayed quiet. She and everybody else who were glancing at Adan looked at where he was attention was.

Finding nothing there, the people that were looking at the direction where Adan's attention was quickly looked at where he was and were shocked to see that Odelette Delphine, Yun Seora, and Yi Seol-Ah looking around in confusion on why they were suddenly on the ground.

Unknown to the people there, Adan was already rushing towards the direction where he was looking at. When he finally saw a figure in the distance, he jumped towards her while shouting, "LUCYYY!!!! I didn't know you were going to Paradise too! You should have told me!"

He then embraced the figure that he saw and started talking again, "Is this what you were so busy about 2 months ago? Awww, you should've just told me! I would've-"

Adan froze when he looked at the face of the one he was hugging and said, "Wait, you're not Lucy. You definitely look like her but there's a clear difference between you two... so who are you?"

The woman he was holding right now had a beet red face as she tried to process was is happening to her exactly. She didn't know how this handsome man suddenly appear and embrace her like that and she definitely doesn't know why she was being embraced. The only thing she knew was that, she was definitely getting horny.

When Adan looked at her a little closely, a sudden line started appearing inside his head.

"From her long, smoothly-arching eyelashes; from her hair that cascaded down to her waist like a waterfall; from her scarlet lips that sported the inviting colour of a well-ripened fruit; from her slender shoulders and straight collar bones; and even from her skin glowing in the pale hues of a ripe apricot, as well as her white dress that perfectly suited her....

Most importantly, a wonderful fragrance wafted off from her direction. It was reminiscent of the warm rays of Spring that made one close their eyes and deeply savor the moment."

Adan blinked in surprise and asked, "Sorry, what was your name again? I don't think I've met you."

Ignoring the fact that their faces were only centimeters apart and that their bodies were sticking to each other like glue, then they would look like they were two strangers that only just met a few seconds ago.

Still being embarrassed and horny, the woman could only wonder why she didn't feel disgusted about him holding her like that. She could only reply in embarrassment, "S-Seo Yuhui. My name's Seo Yuhui. So, can you please let go of me now?"
