Chapter 13

"So this is the VIP store, eh? It's exactly what I imagined it to be." 'Correction! It looks exactly what I read it to be!'

Adan commented as he looked around the VIP store while Yun Seora was on his shoulders and Odelette Delphine was hanging on his side like a monkey.

Adan looked at the person at the desk who was patiently waiting for him and asked, "So, can I see the products?"

The person smiled at him and responded, "Certainly, Sir! I'd like for you to know that the purchasable items at the VIP store in march 2017 were as follows:

1. Ambrosia, 30 000 SP, x2. A drop of "the morning dew" that forcibly evolves an awakened ability to its next level.

2. Pneuma's Sky Boots, 50 000 SP, x1.

3. Moirai's Souvenir, 600 000 SP, x1.

4. Miyal's Branding Iron, 100 000 SP, x1.

5. Divine Elixirs, 30 000. Strength x1, Endurance x1, Agility x2, Stamina x2, Magic x1, Luck x3.

Increases given stat by 1 level.

6. The Divine Stigmata, 300 000 SP, x1.

7. The Seed of the World Tree, 400 000 SP, x1.

8. Saintes Mesures of Sidus, 80 000 SP, x1.

9. Aphriso's Sedge, 150 000 SP, x5.

10. Psychi's Tears, 250 000, x1. An item designed to repair broken magic circuits.

In addition, one can buy a special type of *Competence*, a potion that increases the effectiveness of training, if in possession of the "Guide's note" found in the slot machine in The Tutorial.

This Competence has double the duration (24 hours) and effectiveness (8x) of the strongest competence found in other shops in The Neutral Zone and most other places in Paradise. It costs 400 SP each, and only 60 of them are stocked per Neutral Zone opening."

Adan deadpanned at him and said, "Do you have a sheet of paper containing everything you said? I think I got the gist of what I heard but I'll need that paper for confirmation."

Yun Seora and Odelette Delphine nodded their heads at what he said and simultaneously stated, "Un! I want to read it too." They then looked at each other in surprise before glaring at their 'rival'.

The person behind the counter and Adan sweatdropped a little when they saw lightning appear between them. Adan silently motioned to the guy to hurry it up which he promptly followed.

While the attendant was looking for the list, Adan was looking at the two girls glaring at each other while thinking, 'This reminds me of Superbia and Acedia fighting for who can sit on my lap. Eh? Are those their images overlapping with the younger lolis?'

Adan looked at the two in shock but quickly shook it off when he saw that the attendant finally found the papers and was patiently waiting for him to notice him.

When Adan turned to receive the paper, the attendant then commented, "These two remind me of my sisters. They always fight over who gets to sit on my lap or who gets my attention."

Looking like he finally found a long lost brother, Adan quickly appeared beside the startled man and said, "Hahahahaha, finally! Someone who understands my plight!"

Yun Seora and Odelette Delphine looked at Adan in shock at how he can appear beside them man that quickly but immediately got over it. After they quickly got over their shock, the two finally fell down to the floor when Adan and the attendant were nowhere to be seen.

It seems that Adan was holding the two girls afloat with his mana when he appeared beside the attendant. But seeing as he and the attendant were nowhere to be found, Adan's mana that was holding them disappeared when he did.

Yun Seora and Odelette Delphine pouted as they rubbed their butts in pain as they sighed in frustration. They then picked the pieces of paper Adan threw away and started reading it.

When they saw the prices for the items, they were shocked. The only thing that Adan could afford in the list of items were numbers 1, 2, and 5. Don't even mention their measly little Survival points that couldn't even purchase one of those items.

When they finished reading, Yun Seora and Odelette Delphine looked at each other and turned away after saying, "Humph!"

After a couple of minutes, Adan and the attendant could be seen happily talking to each other as they exited the back room that wasn't shown in the manhwa or novel. Both men then stopped walking as they looked at the two sitting lolis on the floor in astonishment.

Adan then slowly approached them and crouched between the two who were looking away from the other loli. He gave them a questioning look as he asked, "So, did you guys decide on what you want to buy?"

They then looked at Adan dead in the eye and then looked away as they shouted, "HUMPH!!"

Adan looked at both of them in surprise and turned towards the attendant for help. The attendant quickly looked away as he thought, 'This is every man for themselves! I ain't helping you in your lover's quarrel!'

Adan scowled at him and then turned towards the two lolis who were ignoring him. He sighed in frustration and then grabbed both of them by their waists as he placed Yun Seora in front of him and Odelette Delphine by his side.

Both lolis were pleased and angered by their position. Yun Seora subconsciously rubbed her butt closer towards Adan's crotch while Odelette Delphine started thrashing about. When she noticed what Yun Seora was doing, she started to hit whatever area she can on Adan's body while trying to bite his arm.

Adan looked at the attendant apologetically and said, "I'm sorry for the chaos these two are causing. We'll just leave right now..."

The attendant nodded his head in understanding and professionally said, "No harm done Sir. But please do come again."

Adan nodded his head and turned towards the exit to leave but stopped when he was just right around the door. Yun Seora, Odelette Delphine, and the attendant looked at Adan in curiosity about why he suddenly stopped.

Adan turned around and quickly walked towards the counter and said, "I'd like to buy 10 Competence."

The attendant's eyes gleamed in delight as he said, "Ahhh, we have what you're looking for. Just wait for a few seconds and I'll have it by your side."

When the attendant turned around to look through the cabinets behind him, Yun Seora and Odelette Delphine looked at him questioningly as they didn't know what it was for.

Even though the two lolis read the piece of paper that contained all of the items that can be bought inside the store, the two never really read the last part as they were too busy fighting the other.

Adan smiled softly at them and replied to their silent question, "You'll know soon enough. But I thought that the both of you read the paper already?"

The two lolis nodded their head in confirmation in which Adan decided to clarify, "Did you guys read the last part of the paper or not?"

The two looked at each other confused about what he was going on about and looked back at Adan as they shook their head.

When Adan's soft smile turned into that of a wry one, the attendant finally arrived and said, "Here you go, Sir! 10 pieces of Competence that will increase your training time exponentially!"

Yun Seora and Odelette Delphine looked surprised at his words and turned to Adan for clarification. Noticing their gazes, Adan smiled at them and turned towards the attendant, and asked, "How much can this increase their training?"

The attendant then smirked at him and proudly said, "This Competence has double the duration (24 hours) and effectiveness (8x) of the strongest competence found in other shops in The Neutral Zone and most other places in Paradise. Yun Seora and Odelette Delphine looked at the potions in shock and then turned towards Adan who was nodding his head in understanding. Adan then said, "Alright, we'll buy 10 of those. No, we'll buy 20. 10 each for the two little ladies right here."

The attendant raised an eyebrow at him and asked in a teasing tone, "Oh? Already giving the ladies gifts eh? I didn't know that Sir Adan could be so sweet."

Adan looked at the attendant like he said something ridiculous and answered, "Huh? What the hell are you talking about? They're paying for those. I'm just here to lend them points when their money is short."

Yun Seora's and Odelette Delphine's happy faces quickly fell at his words but understood what Adan was trying to do. He was doing it so that the both of them wouldn't depend on him in their stay here in the Neutral Zone.

Unknown to both of them, Adan's reason why he didn't pay for their competence was that he didn't want to waste his points and he was trying to save them for when he does buy things here in the shop.

Adan then silently let the both of them down as they went towards the counter where the attendant was waiting for them with a smile. Looking at their situation, Adan felt what they were doing was illegal and what he just did was like selling his children towards a slaver.

One couldn't blame Adan's thoughts at that with how weird the attendant was smiling at them, how reluctant Yun Seora and Odelette Delphine were in leaving his embrace, and how emotionless he was looking at them as he was despairing inside on how sketchy their actions were.
