Joining the white fang

"Many years ago, before you or Blake were born, the humans wanted to force all of us on Menagerie. Many of the Faunus didn't take that in a positive light, so they decided to fight for their rights." He sighs and tries to continue the story but is struggling to do so.

So, I did what I liked to do in my last life, brew some herbal tea to calm the mind.

"Here dad you'll need this to calm the mind, it's what helps me when I struggle with something." He smiles and accepts the tea; he takes a sip and sighs in satisfaction; the flavors were mixed well, and it wasn't too sweet or bitter.

"Thank you, where did you learn to make tea?" I then scratched the back of my head and tried to forget all the times I burnt my hands, mixed the wrong ingredients, and forgot to buy more tea. To say the least, it took me many years to make tea correctly.

"I asked mom to teach me, just in case I needed to leave the island. And maybe run a teashop in the mainland." He frowned at my answer but shook his head and smiled at the fact that I wanted to make a teashop instead of joining the group.

He then sets the cup down and continues the story.

"The war took three years, three years of bloodshed, three years of killing innocents, and three years' worth of trauma." He took another sip, swear began to form on his brow as he recalled the story.

"The humans in the mainland decided to surrender, giving the Faunus the right to live anywhere in the mainland." His face then turns into sadness.

"However, things didn't go well for some of the Faunus, the humans didn't treat us as equals and were treated like animals." He takes another sip of the tea and hesitates if he should continue to tell me more.

"So, I decided to create the white fang to let the humans hear our voice to treat us as equals, and that's how I am the leader of the white fang." He then sets down the cup once again and mutters under his breath saying that he likes the tea.

I stayed silent and began to process all the information I received and thought to myself about what I should do.

'Should I go and join and help make the humans treat us as equals, or should I focus on my training?' Before I could make a decision, I had to know what they do to get equality for humans and Faunus.

"Dad, what does the white fang do to get equality?" He then lowers his head with sadness knowing he has to tell me everything and hoping I don't join.

"The white fang does a peaceful protest to have the higher-ups listen. But we only return violence when necessary." I was glad to hear that they only used violence to defend themselves, but I was worried if someone suggested a more violent approach.

"Did anyone in the group suggest to use violence to gain equality with the humans?" His face then darkened when I asked that, I poured more tea into his cup, and he smiled at me in thanks and took another sip.

"You will be meeting her for training in case you need to fight and choose your weapon. She has a way to obtain a modified weapon if you choose to have one." I was confused about why he said that so I had to ask.

"Are you not going to train us?" He shakes his head and begins to explain.

"I only stayed here because I wanted the two of you to experience having a father, I am needed out there to lead our people." As soon as he finished talking the door opened wide and the person who opened it had short black hair with yellow amber eyes.

She had dark skin with some tiger stripe tattoos and had two tiger ears on her head.

"Ghira another group of protesters were injured, one of them is in dire need of medical help. Please give the order to attack we need to show those humans that the..." Dad then slams his hands on the desk and glares at the woman.

"ENOUGH!" The woman goes quiet while I cover my ears from the yelling from my dad. He then turned towards her and in a voice full of anger he responded.

"Not in front of my son, I do not care if you barge in when my wife is here, but you will stay silent if either of my two children are here. Am I understood?" The woman turns towards me and sees me covering my ears in pain.

She then widens her eyes like the rest of the Faunus women on the island and nods without paying attention to my father.

"Aiko please leave, she will introduce herself later when you and Blake begin to train." I bowed and left the room, leaving the two people to discuss what was happening.

The woman however continues to stare at me until the doors close. A few hours have passed since the talk I had with Dad, I told Blake everything about what happened.

She was mad at the fact that many Faunus were protesting trying to gain their rights while the two of us were here training to defend ourselves from the unknown.

We both then decided to talk with dad to see if he would let us join the protests so that we could increase morale with the Faunus that were protesting.

As we arrived at dads' study, I could still hear the woman's voice, it sounded like she was trying to persuade dad to use violence, but he was denying the chance.

As we neared the door so that I could knock, the door burst open hitting me and sending me flying into the wall, although I had the aura protecting me, I still felt the pain that was on my back.

"BROTHER!" Blake ran to my side and helped me up although, from our height difference, Blake was able to lift me and make herself as a crutch so I could stand.

At the same time, the woman who entered was about to help me, but Blake slapped her hand away and glared at her.

"STAY AWAY! YOU HURT MY BROTHER, LEAVE!" The woman flinched at my sister's reaction and stepped back.

She then turned towards me and saw me wincing in pain. Her eyes contained guilt seeing how her anger caused her to hurt a fellow Faunus.

"I-I'm sorry." She bowed her head and walked away passing my dad who told her to see what her temper had done to me.

Her ears then lowered, and she slumped forward made her way outside, and left our home.

"Aiko, are you alright?" Dad was worried when he saw me hitting the wall and didn't know what to do. Luckily my aura was able to take some damage for me, but it still hurt.

I smiled and told him that I was fine and me and Blake wanted to talk to him, we then entered his study and closed the door behind us.

"Now, may I ask on why you two wanted to talk to me?" Me and Blake stared at each other and nodded our heads agreeing to continue the plan.

"Me and Blake want to join the White Fang." Ghira slams both of his hands on the table and is furious about what he has heard.

And looked at us with rage, Blake hid behind me, but I stood in place and moved some of my tails to cover her in case something happened. Dad just sighed and sat back down and rubbed his temples.

"I will allow you to go..." Both me and Blake smiled but froze at what he said next.

"With Sieanna and Ilia as your chaperones on your journey." When I heard the name, Ilia, I remembered how her skin changed colors, I wanted to ask her if she could turn invisible or not, I then remembered the first name and wondered who Sieanna was.

"Sieanna was the woman who sent you flying towards the wall a moment ago." Blake then grinded her teeth remembering how I was sent flying.

"That's fine." Blake turned at me and looked at me as if I lost my mind, I patted her shoulder telling her that it was okay.

Blake was hesitant at first, but she nodded her head in sadness on not being able to protest, but she trusted me and believed in me.

Dad was glad that I could calm Blake before she made a tantrum.

"Alright then the next boat that will leave the mainland is tomorrow, so go pack the things you'll need, your mother and I will give you some lien to spend on living arrangements and to buy a weapon for you." The both of us nodded and ran to our rooms to start packing. Mom then entered the room and made her way towards dad.

"Are you sure it's a good idea to let them go?" She asked in concern, dad sighed and placed both of his hands on his chin.

"I can't keep them here forever; they have to prepare themselves for what's to come." Mom nodded her head but was mostly worried for me.

"And what about Aiko, he is the last of his kind I fear that some humans will try to kidnap him." She said.

"I know someone who owes me a favor he will protect him and is staying at Atlas in the glass unicorn." The second mom heard Atlas, she turned toward dad, there was fear in her eyes.

"Ghira please, anywhere else but there, the two of them will be traumatized!" Dad shakes his head and sighs in sadness. Knowing he will regret his decision.

"It's the only place where he will learn to grow." He replied, he then hugged mom, who sobbed in his arms.
