A Kiss From Darkness

Warning… Matured content. “Look at me,” he commanded, his eyes boring into her like black pits of venom. Lilith’s chest tightened as she stared at the floor and the room seemed to shrink around her. “Dinner with the devil is one thing. Staring at the embodiment of evil itself…quite another.” Dracula’s smirk widened, his fingers squeezing Lilith’s chin. “Oh, and do I frighten you, little one?” His eyes burned into her, piercing her soul like daggers “You see now the truth of my power. You thought you could challenge me, toying with my affections as though I were some lovesick puppy.” Lilith sighed, because despite the darkness that swirled around her, she found herself unafraid of Dracula. “Now, look at me, and speak what you have beneath your heart,” he commanded. Lilith’s chin lifted with a surge of defiance. "Dracula Beelzebub. You are nothing but a monstrous abomination." she hissed, her voice dripping with disdain. "A fiend of the lowest caliber, unworthy of even a moment of my time." Dracula raised an eyebrow as he smirked, impressed by her insults. "And yet, you cannot deny that I am the most powerful being in this room." Lilith sneered. "Yo… You deserves to be banished back to the bowels of Hell." Dracula smiled, his teeth white in the flickering candlelight. "Ah, but where’s the fun in that? I much prefer making life interesting for the mortals." Lilith's hands curled into fists at her sides, and she took a step forward. “Interesting?" she spat. "You call torment and misery ‘interesting’? You are a demon, feeding off the misery and pain of others." Dracula chuckled, spreading his arms wide in a gesture of mock surrender. "And what of it? What do you intend to do about it, little mortal?" ~~~~~ Meet Lilith Raziel, a young, beautiful orphan who was born blind. However, when a mysterious creature appears in the woods, Lilith’s life is turned upside down. Her world shifts from darkness to one filled with mystical creatures and the secrets of the underworld. On the other hand, lurking in the shadows, lies Dracula Beelzebub, a devilishly handsome man who relishes in the misery and demise of others. Beneath his charming façade lies a dangerous secret—Dracula Beelzebub is the devil incarnate. And he has set his sights on Lilith Raziel, a woman he’s determined to ensnare in his diabolical plans. _"To love a demon is to have your soul bound in chains of darkness.” — Lucifer’s Inferno. Baked pie.

Lilith violently walked away from Morgana, and with a sigh, she sat down with a mighty pout on her face.

"What happened?" Morgana inquired as she glanced at Lilith with a troubled expression.

Lilith let out another long sigh as she glanced at her drawing board and colours.

She stretched out her hands and peered at Morgana intently.

"Use your phone to communicate already," Morgana spoke, and her worried expression made her eager to read what Lilith had to type.

Lilith wanted to tell Morgana that she didn't have a phone and that she was exhausted from her mind playing tricks on her, but all Lilith could think of was taking a deep breath and trying to settle her thoughts.

After a few seconds, Lilith stood from her chair and unzipped Morgana's bag before taking Morgana's phone, which she used to type (explain) what had just happened.

However, Lilith didn't tell Morgana about the second mysterious guy that she had bumped into.

'Besides Morgana would find it difficult to believe that I could talk some few minutes ago.' Lilith thought within herself.

After reading Lilith's explanation, Morgana immediately exclaimed. "What the hell!" Morgana exclaimed, her loud words surprised passer-by who stood and stared at her.

Morgana apologised with a delicate nod, and then her gaze shifted towards Lilith. "So are you saying that you had bumped into him earlier today?" Lilith nodded in response to Morgana's words.

"I believe the reason why you felt compelled to give him your portrait was because of the expired medicine." Morgana began by biting her bottom lips and allowing herself to contemplate for some time.

Lilith hates to accept it, but she can't deny that her friend's comment was true

Deep down, she wondered how she could have drawn a portrait of herself and given it to him, and the only conclusion Lilith could reach was that the expired medications were to blame.

"That so-called Merlin of a guy is definitely a pervert because that explains why he refuses to give you back your portrait," Morgana stated as she told Lilith about the conclusion she reached.

Lilith's previously unhappy visage lighted up with a radiant smile. "So you believe he wants to jerk off with my pic?" Lilith typed while questioning Morgana.

Morgana nodded her head and winked at her friend. "Who knows?" she said with a devilish smirk. "Perhaps he might as well end up rubbing his stuff all over your portrait in a rather intimate manner, all the while envisioning your beautiful face."

Lilith's slips formed a smile, but she bit her lower lips, preventing herself from laughing out loud.

Now that her friend has made such assumptions, Lilith believes Morgana might be right.

'Also, what could he possibly use my portrait for?' She thought to herself while smiling gleefully.

With a newfound positive outlook, Lilith began to face the day knowing that nothing unpleasant would happen to her.

She made portraits of those who came into her shop, and she sold each portrait for $40.

The night sky darkened as the stars faded into the dark cloud.

The full moon bore profoundly as it provided light for Lilith as she returned home after a long day at her small business.

She had left Morgana and was now strolling alone towards her residence.

When she arrived at her house, she climbed the staircase till she reached her front door.

Lilith's lips were slightly ajar as she stood in front of her wide-open door, surrounded by a cluster of dry leaves.

She pushed the leaves with her legs, raising her brow in suspicion.

'This is unusual.' She thought to herself as she stepped into the house before closing the door and turning on the house light.

Lilith scanned the home with her eyes, but everything appeared to be in order, so she went straight to her bathroom, took a bath, and then, dressed in her nightgown before falling asleep on her bed like a starfish.

The smell of baked apple pie lingered in the nostrils of Lilith, prompting her to snuggle deep into the bedsheet.

"Wake up sleeping monster." A warm voice uttered as she referred to Lilith as a sleeping monster.

On the other hand, Lilith snuggled deep into the bedsheet as she enjoyed the blissful sleep.

Seeing that Lilith wasn't ready to wake up, Morgana walked up towards Lilith and she began to shake Lilith's body, hoping that her friend would wake from her sleep.

Just as Morgana had hoped, after some minutes of disturbing Lilith, she finally awoke while flustering her long lashes as she tried to adjust her eyes to the brightness of the room.

Lilith sluggishly sat down on the bed while using the back of her hands to wipe her sleeping eyes.

"How did you get inside?" She asked, using her finger as a means of sign language.

It was easy for Morgana to grasp Lilith's questions because, even though Morgana didn't know how to use sign language, she could still guess that Lilith was asking her how she got inside the house.

"Your house door was spoilt and I think it's crazy because you didn't even ask me the reason why I spoilt your door yesterday," Morgana stated as she made her way back into the kitchen.

Lilith sprang up from the bed and grabbed a book and a pen. "I didn't ask because if you hadn't shown up on time, then my nightmare would have gotten worse." Lilith wrote on a piece of paper and showed it to Morgana as she approached her.

A scoff escaped Morgana's lips as she smiled warmly at her friend. "Well, that's quite true," Morgana whispered as she cut a sliced piece of baked pie onto a plate. "I have called someone to fix your door," Morgana added and this time around, she was dropping the plate on the dining table so that they could both dig in.

"You shouldn't have called someone. For the past few days, I have been causing you to spend your hard-earned morning on me." Lilith penned on the piece of paper, a worried expression was being plastered on her face.

Morgana rolled her eyes at Lilith. "I only said I called someone but I didn't make mention of me being the one to pay for the personal service," Morgana spoke with a delightful smile on her lips.

"The money from that mysterious young man is what I'm going to use to pay the person who fixes your door," Morgana explained.

Last night, Lilith gave Morgana the money she had earned from selling her photo frame to Merlin.

"Woah! That's very good of you." Lilith typed, her face lit up with delight.

"You're welcome, dear. Additionally, I've bought art gallery tickets for you," she said, giving Lilith a wink.

Lilith's eyes widened in amazement.

"The art gallery event is scheduled for tomorrow night. Since you've been longing for a chance to visit an art gallery, this would be the perfect opportunity for you." Morgana continued, causing Lilith to eagerly rush toward her friend and embrace her tightly.

"Thanks, Morgana." Lilith typed on the piece of paper and showed it to her friend but then, a mighty wind suddenly opened the door of Lilith's house, and a man in black stepped inside.
