Main suspect

"Okay, so something is really sus." Ash said out loud.

"What's up? Any update? Have you found out about Hazy?" Dazai asked.

"No, the other case. the one that was originally assigned to me after professionals failed to do it." Ash bragged.

"Ashley Colon Feild, please come to the cheif's office." A speaker announced.

"Just in time." Ash said as she got up from her rotatable chair, making it spin a little. She knocked slightly on the door and peeked inside.

"May I come in, sir?" Ash asked.

"I summoned you for a reason." Cheif Richard. She nodded a "yeah, duh, I knew that" nod and entered the office.

"So, any updates? You know you are working on finding that Mafia group's heir for four and a half years now. Right?" Richard asked.

"Right. Luckily, I just got a clue. A hint that will lead me to the main suspects. I will have to leave shortly after this meeting and will be late tonight. I will be back at 1:00 a.m., but if I am any late, please send the backup team." Ash said with an " I respect you, sir" smile.

"So you have a lead in this case? Does that mean I will have the report ready and placed here on my desk by tomorrow?" Richard asked.

"Sorry? Sir, that's not how it works. I will just confirm my suspicion, and after another half a year, I will confront her after observing her actions and further activities." Ash said, trying to be as polite as possible.

"Now you will tell me how it works. I guess I went over board trusting you with everything. Despite your age and experience, I introduced you as my best investigator. You pay me back by not coming up to my expectations and telling me what to do. I almost adopted you, but you only disappointed me ."

"Sir, I am sorry that you had the chance to say that, but I got all that because I deserved it and worked for it. Has this case ever stopped me from other cases, or did it ever distract me? I solved seven other cases in the past four years while working on this one, which meant school and academy. I gave up my sleep. I tried my best and pushed myself to the fullest. The scar on my leg is a literal proof that I embraced every danger and went through every pain to please you. To not give you the chance to be disappointed in me. It disappoints me too that how easily you ignored that and the rest of my struggle. Despite all that, I will try to at least provide you with the main suspect's name and recent activities." Ash said, completely heated up. He looked at her, completely shocked.

"You are dismissed." He finally states. She gives a slight nod and leaves the office.

"How did it go?" Dazai asked. Then, looking at her face, he asked, " What happened?"

"Nothing, nothing specific, anyways the main suspect is Roseline Noah, type it down for me, please." Ash requested.
