Chapter 20

"Who are you?" I asked. When I look at Max and Lisa their faces also had a troublesome look.

"Didn't you recognize me?" she asked.

We looked at the stranger as if she was a weirdo. She realized that our answer is no although we didn't said so.

"I'm your granny! But you can't call me granny anymore!" she said.

It was old granny. After receiving her powers back she had became young. She had the appearance of an angel. She was wearing a white frock which had been worked with silver.

"Are you joking?" Max asked. All of us were surprised by the new appearance of granny including Edward. He was also looking at granny.

"Call me, Beth. It's my real name. Children, let's go." She said. Beth walked out of the house and inhaled the fresh air. She was happy to come back to her life. We could see it from her behavior and her talking tone.

She was the first to get out of the house. All of us were staring at her, standing inside the house.

"Aren't you going to come with me?" she asked. We looked at one another's faces and got out of the house. Alicia wished us luck.

"She is very beautiful isn't she? Actually she looks like an angel! Look at her frock! It's beautiful" Lisa was nearly crying. But it wasn't a surprise, I had the same feelings.

We were walking for nearly an hour. Although we were tired any of us did not want to rest and waste time.

Finally we reached the cave. Surprising all of us Beth walked inside the dark cave without any hesitation. We didn't even have time to ask her to stop. We followed her as there wasn't any other way.

Beth was already was in a silent war with Morgan. They were looking at each other's eyes. It looked scary. However Morgan's face looked like she had lost everything.

"Morgan, can you remember what you have done to me?" Beth asked from Morgan. It was a tone of challenge against Morgan.

"Yes, and do you think you are going to win?" Morgan asked back.

Both Morgan and Beth had started a war with words. I thought it was better that starting a war with magic. Both were challenging each other. But both Morgan and Beth knew that Morgan can't win. Her powers were fading with the rise of Beth's magical powers. And also as Beth said, when she was a granny, Morgan was not much powerful in the day time. But Beth was powerful in the day time.

Although Morgan talked as a genius in all times, she couldn't do anything against Beth's magic. We were looking at what was going on in front of us with a hope.
