"Elliot may have turned me down, but I let him consider my offer. You can't force him to stay here if he ever changes his mind. Am I right?"
Loraine hid the tense muscles in her face and was sure she had hidden them well. She even managed to flash a soft smile toward her daughter.
"Of course. I will not keep him here if he wishes to follow you."
Even though her smile seemed genuine, Anxia could still see the distaste in the older woman's eyes.
This woman was terrified that she would lose Elliot. Anxia snorted sarcastically, inwardly realizing that this old lady didn't genuinely love Elliot.
"Then let's get Elliot over here," Anxia suggested while waving her hand, and not long after, a male came to their table.
Loraine could barely hide her shocked eyes at the manservant's face.
