Chapter 1:Prologue

Aries Pov

I was currently lying on the living room floor. I had just gotten out of a long day of middle school. The tv was playing the latest news that was happening in the city. A demon had attacked the town. I quickly reached to turn on the news to see what was going to unfold.

"It's starting!" I said with excitement In my voice.

No one's Pov

A demon was currently running a mock throughout the city. It was flipping cars and throwing them into buildings. It shot fire from its mouth, putting most of the building on fire. It let out a shrieking noise roar. It created a massive shockwave destroying everything in its path.

A helicopter was flying right above the demon. The doors opened up, and a maned hopped out. Landing in front of the demon gave the men a confused stare. The man chuckled and cracked his neck.

"Alright, let's get this over with." The man said with excitement in his voice.

The man grabbed the handle of his sword and drew it out from its sheath. It was black katana with kanji engraved on the blade for "Demon Slayer." The man got into his stance, waiting for the demon's attack.

The hunter was a brown-skinned male who stood at 185CM. He was rather bulk and had a bit of chin hair. He had black hair that was tied up into a bun. He was a standard hunter uniform: a black shirt with a blue jacket, with hunter's emblem on each of its shoulders. He was wearing a part of black pants.

His brown eyes gaze upon the demon, watching its every move. The demon had vanished and appeared behind, trying to punch it. The hunter quickly turned to face the demon and sliced its arm—the demon howled in pain dash away from the hunter.

"Really a cheap trick, let that. Im not falling for something as simple as that." He gave a demon a smirk as he said that.

The demon growled in aggravation. Its red eyes glowed even brighter than before. It dashed forward and grabbed his head. It would drag him across the road of the city. The demon then threw him into a destroyed building.

The hunter coughed up a bit of blood. He got back up on his feet and wiped the blood off his mouth.

"Now things are getting interesting." He said with a smirk.

The hunter rushed towards the demon slicing its chest. He then kicked it in the stomach, not giving it time to counter. The demon flew into a nearby building, causing it to fall on top of it. The demon roared picked up the entire building. It launched the building towards the hunter.

"Oh, I guess it's time for me to get serious." He said as he got into his stance.

The hunter closed his eyes and started to breathe in and out. A purple aura began to surround his body. His eyes glowed a purple color. He leaped from the ground and dashed towards the building.

"Dragon Slayer Style Violent Tempest." He said.

His blade would get wrapped in purple energy. It was spinning around like a tornado. He swung his sword at the building, cutting it in half. He would finish off the demons by cutting its head off. He would land on the ground, sheathing his sword.

The hunter looked at the demolished city. The demon's body would fall on the ground, lifeless. It would start to vanish into black smoke. He would close his eyes and let out a sigh.

"Man, I wished I could make it here earlier. Repairing this is going to be a pain in my ass." He said, scratching the back of his head.

A loud buzzing sound could be heard in the hunter's ear. On his earpiece, he would press a button. It was linked to the hunter's base of operations. And which his partner was on the line.

"BLAKE, WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT! DO YOU KNOW RECKLESS YOU WERE?" She shouted at him.

"Emma, calm down. It's not a big deal." He said, winching a little at her yelling.

"NO, BECAUSE OF YOU'RE RECKLESS, WE HAVE TO PAY FOR REPAIRS. DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH REPAIRS ARE GOING TO COST?" She kept yelling at him.

"Ehhh, it's not my problem. I protected the city. That's all matters." He said with a shrug.

"IT IS YOUR PROBLEM IF THE COMMANDER COMPLAINS TO ME ABOUT YOU'RE RECKLESS. IM GOING TO HURT YOU." She yelled at him.

"Alright, you're right. I'm sorry." He said with a sigh.

"Good, now the helicopter is landing in front of you now ." She said.

"Alright, ill report the base as usual." He said.

The helicopter landed in front of the blake. Blake walked toward the aircraft and got on. The plane would start to fly off the ground and head to the base.

I was looking at the tv as the broadcast ended. I had sparkles in my eyes; I knew what I wanted to be. I wanted to be a hunter; I aspired to fight those evil demons and protect the innocent. I did feel sorry for those civilians who had lost everything due to the demon's attack.

I promise once I graduate middle school, I will go to the hunter's academy. I will work harder than anyone else. I will become the best hunter that I can be, just like how my father was.

"Honey, dinner ready." My mom said.

"Coming, mom," I said as I got up and walked towards the kitchen.

A few years later.

The sound of my alarm awoke me. I reached over to my phone and turned off my alarm. I got out of bed and let out a yawn. I headed towards my dresser and grabbed the clothes I took out last night. I put on my clothes and looked In the mirror.

"I have to say I grown to be pretty good-looking."

I mean, I wasn't wrong; I had grown to 185CM over my middle school years. He had a slim body with some bulk to me. My hair has gotten a bit longer blacker, I think. Also, I think my eyes are a lighter green.

"I guess mom was right about drinking water every day and working out," I said with a smile.

I walked out of my room and headed to the kitchen. My mom was sitting our breakfast plates on the table. She looked at me and gave a blank stare.

"Son, you look like an emo and aren't a bit hot for all black." She said.

I was wearing a black shirt and a black jacket over it. I had on black fingerless gloves that reached to my elbow. I had on some black boots that competed by outfit. I mean, I look good in all black, and I'm willing to suffer to look good.

"Mom, I look good in my outfit, so I'm willing to suffer," I said proudly.

"Alright, don't come complaining to me when you're burning up." She said she started to pinch my cheek playfully.

"Mom, not a kid anymore, so don't worry about me," I said as I gently moved her hand away from my face.

"Even if your not a child, you're still my baby boy." She said with a pout.

I let out a sigh. There was no escape from my mother. She was going to see as a child regardless. Well, she is my mother so that I couldn't blame her. She did have to raise me on my own after my father died. So I can see why so clingy and protective.

"Mom, let's eat before the food gets cold," I said.

She nodded, and we sat down and began eating our breakfast. When I finished my food, I got up and put my plate in the stink. I looked at the clock and saw it was time for me to go. I looked at my mom a smiled at her.

"Mom, it's time for me to go," I said.

"Ok, I understand." She gave me a sad smile.

I sighed. She didn't want me to go to the academy. Ever since my father died as a hunter, she wanted me to have a regular life. That's why she never taught me about the history of hunters when I told her that I wanted to go to the hunter academy. She begged me not to go and go to a regular high school.

She tried convincing me to have a regular life my entire middle school years. But I had my mindset on becoming a hunter. She eventually had to come to accept that I wanted to become a hunter. I walked towards her and gave her a warm hug.

"I promise that I'II will be careful and won't end up like dad," I said, trying to reassure her.

"I know. I'm just scared to see you go. I can't imagine what I'II do if something happened to you." She with tears falling from her face.

"I understand how you feel. That why I'm going to stay safe. I don't go back on my word." I said as I kissed her forehead.

"Alright, you better be. I don't want to hear that you died or otherwise drag your soul back into your body and then beat you." She said, making a chill go down my spine.

"Oh, right, I promise," I said nervously.

"Now get going. I don't want you to be late." She said

"Yes, ma'am," I spoke with a big smile on my face.

I let go of my mother and headed towards the door. Before I left, I gave my mother one last smile before a left. I was a bit nervous for my freshman year at the academy. I didn't know if I was going to fit in or make any friends. I was scared that I wasn't going to perform well either.

However, I will believe in myself and my ability, working harder than everybody else. My journey begins now! I become the most excellent hunter ever in the entire history of hunters.
