My mind was assailed by infinite colors as the Mundane Egg sought to build the dream world bound to me as was its destiny and instinctual desire to bloom into something more real than a mere dream that will be forgotten.
But the precept of my 'dream' the false world being built upon me was something a human mind simply wasn't built to withstand. And being a Hollow only divorced me from a human mind so far.
I could feel my sense of self almost slipping away as my consciousness drowned in the concepts the Mundane Egg pressed against my soul to see if they fit. My very soul was almost burnt to ash when the Mundane Egg tried to place the concept of 'SUN' into my soul with all the care of a child smashing a triangle into a circular peg hole before giving up on that concept.
My existence was simply torture as the Mundane Egg with zero care for me as the Mundane Egg began pushing the most basic of concepts into me to see what worked and a person could only withstand for so long the rapid changes of going from feeling the equivalents of a glacier being dragged upon you slowly eroding you with its jagged edges and its sheer cold to feeling massive waves of water seemingly smashing into you while being drowned at the same time.
But eventually, as my consciousness began to dim and I faintly thought that I was honestly going to die from this stupid ass idea I felt the Mundane Egg slot in the concept of 'Wind; to me, and as I was assailed by brutal hurricane-grade winds, I felt no pain. I merely mentally floated with the winds and found only comfort in it.
"Hmm almost there, host." The Mundane Egg pondered as it gently took out the concept of wind within me before it began to twist the concept to everything from a scalding hot desert wind to humid typhoon winds carrying what felt like buckets of water upon each breath.
But in the end, nothing as simple as a blowing wind fit my soul, the world to be built within my soul. "Bear with this. We are going to discover the root that makes your heart yearn for the impossible." The Mundane Egg seemed to warn, and it was a very fucking apt warning as I was then assailed with the now very painful feeling of having the equivalent of plants growing out of me only for a calming wind to rip the plants out of me moments later.
"Nope, Harvest and Life don't fit you like at all." The Mundane Egg mused speaking much more as though finding great joy in the difficulty in matching my soul's concept.
I was then welcomed to a great number of other sensations before finally while I was forced to watch a shadow stumble across a desert, I didn't actually feel any pain at all from the scenario.
"Hoh we are making progress!" The Mundane Egg cried before doubling down in drowning me in different sensations so even I could nail down the concept that was attached to me after a while.
"Congratulations Vasto Lorde of Hollows. Despite you leaving your True Name of Jake Barris behind in your transformation... I name thee, The Traveler Following The Fair Winds." The Mundane Egg tiredly spoke as a shadowy figure that took on more and more of my features stood before me but with major differences as all the shadows cleared away.
No longer were my fingernails a hazard should I give someone a handshake. My crown of bones atop my head I could feel was able to retract into my head and once they were retracted all eyes would be drawn upon me as my form was shaped by the will of a world to be perfection. So now everyone would be able to see me... I could live a somewhat normal life if I wanted to. I realized as I felt the essence of The Traveler Following The Fair Winds, filled my mind with its abilities.
Rather than give me the ability to unmatched control a certain element or even concept in my own world inside my soul although I still had such an inner world it was as dead as Shirou Emiya's reality marble. No, what my essence did was allow me to travel wherever I desired with nothing able to bar my path and as my tale spreads along my 'travels' I could bring stuff from my travels to give life to my inner world over time.
"Haa..." The Mundane Egg sighed with an almost death rattle in its sigh. "I wonder if my much older brethren would be proud of my creation. Will this nascent will live on, past this self-destructive birth of a new world?"
I could only lay within my consciousness silently as the Mundane Egg's infinite cascade of light slowly dimmed and its Aroura Borealis effects of swaying colors stilled before I managed to whisper a soft "Thank you." Toward the dying lights and just before the lights faded completely, I felt a sort of pat on my back as my vision was filled with the harsh light of the sun above me.
I then gently took the normal chicken-sized black stone that remained of the Mundane Stone and for a moment I considered chucking it into the ocean in front of me and knew deep inside of me that should I do that in this place no one in the history of the universe would find it... But with a sigh, I shunt down my melancholy feelings of the Mundane Egg's suicidal act in giving me a reality marble as I carefully put the remains of the Mundane Egg inside my pocket.
"Well let's see if all that pain was worth it," I muttered as I stood up, and then with a mere thought, a gale of green-colored wind followed my hands, and I knew that the winds no matter if I made them magically sharp or sent entire tornado of it at myself or an ally, the winds would bring no harm to them.
As they were my 'Fair Winds'.
Then as I dispersed the wind I made the Hollow crown of bones atop my head sink into my skull, and I saw my ultra-pale skin take on a bit more color allowing me to fit in better with just pale skin instead of almost chalk-white shin.
Deciding to get back to the path as there was nothing to do next to the ocean I walked down the beach towards the path, it took a few steps, but I realized what my essence of The Traveler was really quickly as less than five causal steps carried me seemingly the couple hundred yards from the beach to the path I left previously.
I stared at the yellow dirt path beneath my feet and then as I looked around with beaches with calm purple seas surrounding me, I with a breath brought one foot up and pushed it down.
I felt the Infinitesimally drain upon my spiritual reserves as space warped and even as the world blurred around me, I was in perfect control of where I was going as scenes of Fairy Land passed by me with forest deserts and scenes all the more fantastical passing by as I experimented with my abilities.
Finally, after a long 'walk' through the infinite paths through the Fae Lands and none of the lands holding me back mentally or physically, I felt that I had gathered a good bit of practice with my 'Traveler' abilities.
"I should probably get back to Earth... Being in Fairy Land means although time has slowed for all I know one of the lands I sped through, or past, could have affected my place in time." I mused softly as I stared off into the mist-filled surroundings that showed I was in a more... Undeveloped area of the Fae Realms which meant should I decide to explore and run into some eldritch entity I was likely screwed.
I could only use my Reality Marble back on earth when I had something to add to it and I had no idea what could give life to a dead realm on hand honestly.
